Here's a nice 1998 Chevrolet K3500 that runs excellent for a low Reserve! Hard to find 1 Ton, crew cab 4x4 truck. The 7.4 Vortec runs quiet and smooth and makes lots of power. The new owner is going to love this truck. These are getting harder and harder to come by every year. The body does have a few minor dents and dings, (refer to the photos). But.... the truck is very decent. You have got to see the condition of the inside of the bed! We have sold MANY vehicles here on Ebay, and have maintained an impressive positive feedback rating. That doesn't happen by accident, by misrepresenting vehicles, or offering junk. I will give you an accurate description of this vehicle to the best of my ability, and you will drive away with an incredibly nice truck. The paint is original as far as I can tell, but obviously it has peeled in several places. There are several scratches, dings and dents throughout, but nothing horrible. The pictures show the truck with some dirt and dust on it, but it cleans up real nice. There are foul no odors of any kind inside. The front and rear seats are in excellent condition. It does not smell like cigarettes inside. The carpet is clean and has been protected by floor mats and is very presentable. The entire vehicle shows pride of ownership inside and out. It's very obvious it has been cared for. The 7.4 Vortec engine starts up immediately on the 1st crank. No squeels, leaky injectors, smoke, knocks, drips, ect...! There is NO check engine light on. In fact, there are no warning lights on of any kind. Everything functions as it should. The brakes stop great. The underside is as rust free as it gets. This is a nice example of the classic body style truck that is going to make the owner want to keep it forever. Interior wise, all of the windows go up and down. locks work, Radio works. Horn works, lights all work, heater works, Air conditioning blows COLD, 4x4 High and low range works, shifter is on the floor and the front end engauges immediately. The transmission shifts crisply and firmly as it should through all the gears. Everything I've tried out works. I can't find anything that doesn't operate correctly. As nice as this K3500 is, it obviously isn't brand new, and it isn't showroom perfect. It's nice, though. Especially for the mileage and year. The tires are in Fair to O.k. condition. The wheels are factory steel. The exhaust system is leak/ rust free. All emissions equipment is in place and un-tampered with. The glass and windshield are all perfect. We just had a new windshield installed. Overall, it's actually an impressive truck if you can get past the factory GM flaking Paint. Since I am only human, there's a chance I've missed some small or even large stuff. Inspections. I highly encourage inspections on all vehicles offered, either in person, or by a hired professional. This is to satify YOU. There are many different companies that specialize in doing nothing but that. Have a list of questions for them that are critical to you. They generally charge between $100-$175 and THAT may truly be a bargain to give you piece of mind and any additional info you may need. The vehicle will be made available for inspection by appointment. If you decide to forego the inspection, there really is no reason you should be unhappy about anything after the auction has ended. Most of our vehicles are generally purchased at dealer only auctions for the sole purpose of resale. We sell these vehicles FAR below any dealer retail prices. This gives you room for any additional repairs that you see fit. They have not undergone ANY type of inspections/ or specific tests for ANYTHING. This includes emmissions and safety inspections. We cannot guarantee compliance of the vehicle for your state, because every state has different requirements as far as safety and emissions inspections are concerned. Titles: We are a licenced bonded, and insured Colorado motor vehicle dealer. All vehicles that we purchase and offer for resale have a clear Title. (meaning no lienholders). We do NOT knowingly deal in any vehicles with salvage title histories, period. The State of Colorado, along with many other states, automatically exempt the recorded mileage on the title for any vehicle over ten years old, and over 100,000 miles. Therefore, on these vehicles, the titles will simply be "exempted miles" and have a "0" indicated for odometer reading. That does not mean the mileage is unknown, or that it has been tampered with, it simply means they (The State), are no longer keeping track of the mileage. We also occasionally need to title these vehicles in our business' name if they are from out of state and do not have room for any further reassignments. This may take up to 30 days, and we have no control over that, as we are at the States mercy . The bottom line is: you will recieve a transferrable title to the vehicle either at the time of purchase or usually within 30 days by mail. Dodge vs. Chevy tug-of-war taken to the extreme
Mon, 17 Dec 2012They say "idle hands are the devil's playground," but said playgrounds grow to Disney-sized proportions when a pair of jacked-up trucks, two egos, a chain and an empty mall parking lot are involved. Proof of this is the video below, which shows a Cummins-powered Dodge Ram circa 2006 to 2008 chained tail-to-tail with what looks to be a gasoline-powered Chevrolet Silverado from the late 1990s or early 2000s.
We don't necessarily have to tell you who wins this battle, but we'll let you see for yourself the lengths the "winning" driver goes to prove his point. There's plenty of foul language in the video below, so beware that this might be Not Safe For Work, and not that we should have to tell you, but please, do not try this at home.
GM recalling 250,000 SUVs over door electronics
Mon, 20 Aug 2012After a door-fire investigation that dates back to February, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has officially announced a recall today that affects around 250,000 General Motors SUVs for a faulty driver's door module. The recall applies to the Buick Rainier, Chevrolet Trailblazer, GMC Envoy, Isuzu Ascender and Saab 9-7X from the 2006 and 2007 model years, as well as the 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer EXT and GMC Envoy XL for vehicles sold and/or registered in the Snow Belt.
Road salt use in these midwestern and northern states can lead to corrosion of the driver's door module on these GMT360 and GMT370 vehicles, which allows water to come in contact with the circuit board. If shorted out, the vehicle's power door locks and power windows will not work, and could possibly lead to overheating and, in some circumstances, a fire. No official word on how many total vehicles caught on fire, but back in June, 28 fires had been reported to the government agency. A fix for the problem is still being worked out, but all affected vehicle owners will be notified by GM.

The story of the 2014 Chevrolet SS: "Luxury, power, refinement, handling"
Thu, 07 Mar 2013Not including the women and men who built it, the 2014 Chevrolet SS has only been seen in person by a piddling number of people - fewer humans than would fill the gymnasium at a high school volleyball game. Not including the men and women who built it, no one has driven it. Even so, it is already saddled with two controversies: the way it looks and the way it shifts.
First to that shifting. Did we love the last Americanized Holden, the awesomely sportsome Pontiac G8 GXP, and its six-speed manual? Of course. Do we wish the SS came with a six-speed manual? Of course. But we'd like a toboggan to come with a manual transmission. We'd put a manual transmission on a weasel if we could because we're just wired that way; if it moves, it should come with a stick and a clutch. Or at least the option.
Let's climb down off the ledge, though. We haven't driven the SS and we have no idea how good (or not) the automatic is. And the Hobson's Choice in transmissions when it comes to sport sedans like the BMW M5, Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG and Jaguar XFR-S and, oh yeah, cars-that-really-should-have-manuals like the Audi R8 and Nissan GT-R and Porsche 918 and every single Lamborghini and Ferrari, for instance, hasn't stopped us from enjoying what is clearly the gruesome, dual-clutched demise of Western automotive civilization. Because in spite of our ululations at the dying of the six-speed light, we understand.
