Please do not bid on this auction if you have less than 25 feedback.

If you are serious and want to bid, please contact us by phone at the listed number so we can discuss your intentions. Sorry to be this way but lately there has been a rash low feedback bidders bidding, winning the auction and then not following through with the sale. We take our auctions seriously and just want you to do the same.

This auction is for a 1967 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible. Beautiful red paintjob. Has a later model rebuilt 350 V-8 with Automatic Trans. Power Steering, Teak Steering Wheel, Non-Power Drum Brakes, Power Top, 10 Bolt Rear, has recent Dual Exhaust with Vortec Mufflers, new Air Shocks, Frame Connectors, new set of Torque Thrust American Racing Wheels with 225/55/16s up front and 245/50/16s on rear. They are Fire Hawk Wide Oval Radials. The car had a mild restoration 15 years ago. Did have minor repairs on the bottom of both front fenders, new rear quarters and some on the inner door edges. Floors appear to be original as the trunk but I did see minor repairs to a few floor braces. Dont get me wrong, the car looks amazing and the work appears to have been done nicely but I try to be honest and tell it like it is so there is no surprises. The car body is nice and straight, doors open and close great and all the lines look good. The underside was coated with a type of black Rhino Liner for protection. Appears all the stainless and chrome was repalced with new with the exception of both door handles. They have some minor pitting. Also the black area on the rear tailight housings have some minor pitting also. Interior looks very nice. I would guess door panels and front seats along with dash pad were replaced with new. Everything on the car works. There is an aftermarket Pioneer CD/MP3 Player with Antenna Boost mounted in the glove compartment. I believe the 350 SS badging was added for looks. Top appears new. In one of the pics you may see a bungie cord by the steering column. I put that in to hold up the brake pedal as sometimes the rear brake lights stay on until you lift up the pedal. I would say the switch needs and adjustment as it doesnt always do this. For those who want cowl tag numbers they go as follows, 10-D  E ST67-12467 NOR Trim 760-Z Paint M-2  D-2R. Will have a prior Maine registration and proper transfer forms for a smooth transaction. We require a $500 non refundable deposit within 24 hours after the sale. Preferable by Pay Pal. Balance due 3 days there after. If you need time to transport we will work with you on storing the car. If you need more info or pics please feel free to email or call us at 1-207-324-5568 Days or 1-207-432-2862 Eves and Sundays. Please check out our other auctions for a nice 1930 Ford Model A Coupe and a survivor  1961 Olds 88 Sedan.

C7 Corvette turbo with 1,000 horsepower promised from Hennessey

Mon, 25 Feb 2013

If you can't wait for the next-generation Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, Hennessey says they will have you covered. The Texas-based company has announced it will offer a spate of upgrades for the 2014 Corvette ranging from a range of bolt-on options all the way up to a 1,000-horsepower, twin-turbo system. Buyers can start with a cold air intake, cat-back exhaust or stainless steel long-tube headers, but Hennessey says it will also offer up three stages of forced induction mayhem should those bits and baubles not provide enough thrust.
Those choices start with a supercharger system good for up to 700 hp, though Hennessey will gladly ditch the blower in favor of two turbos. Doing so will spin the crank to the tune of 800 horsepower all the way up to a certifiably ludicrous 1,000 ponies. There's no word on how much these tricks will cost you - or when they will be available, as we're guessing they haven't gotten their hands on the car yet - but you can head over to the Hennessey site to drop them a line if you're curious.

GM recalls full-size truck, SUVs and vans over faulty shifter mechanism

Mon, 07 Jan 2013

Twelve different General Motors vehicles from the 2013 model year, up to 54,686 units in total, are being recalled over two potential issues with their steering columns. The models in question, all full-size trucks, SUVs or vans, are the: Cadillac Escalade, Escalade ESV, Escalade EXT, Chevrolet Avalanche, Express, Silverado, Suburban, Tahoe, and GMC Savana, Sierra, Yukon and Yukon XL.
The affected vehicles were built with a fractured parking lock cable or "a malformed steering column lock actuator gear in the lock module assembly." As a consequence, they could shift out of park without the brake pedal being applied or with the key removed or in the off position.
A bulletin from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration indicates that the recall should begin on January 17. GM will notify owners, at which time they can take their vehicles to their dealers for repair free of charge. Have a look at the bulletin below for more information.

2014 Chevrolet Silverado tows in new configurator, microsite

Mon, 21 Jan 2013

Judging by your continued enthusiastic response to configurator notices, dear reader, you enjoy speccing out new cars as much as we do. Better still, there tends to be even more ways to personalize, configure and bloat theoretical MSRPs on full-size trucks as there are with more ordinary passenger cars. In addition to trim level, engine and transmission choices, truck buyers usually have to specify items like cab configuration, bed length, number of driven axles, tow packages, gear ratios and all sorts of bits and bobs.
That's why we're pleased to see the DIY specification utility for the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado come alive so soon after this week's Detroit Auto Show debut. While the configurator lacks pricing (General Motors hasn't announced numbers yet) and full options, you can still spec out your half-ton rig, and even print it out or email it to your friends. Beyond the configurator, the new model-specific site is pretty cool, too, with various videos and closer looks at the truck's new features.
The new Chevrolet pickup range won't be on dealer lots until sometime this summer, so whether you're a building contractor, an avid sportsman or just a guy or gal that loves full-size trucks, you might want to check out the link below to keep your appetite whetted. If you're more of a Sierra fan, well, it looks like you're going to have to wait a while - GMC hasn't updated its site yet.
