Hello, and thank you for viewing my BBC Camaro, impeccable fabrication and finish. This is a true pro touring car.
Frame off restoration with Heidts full race suspension with power assist rack and pinion steering. This car has
coil over shocks on all 4 corners. The power plant is a ZZ502 GM crate motor with 525 hp. 567 lb. ft. torque.
aluminum heads Milodon oil pan, Holley 870 double pumper. Research the ZZ502 for all of the technical data.
Transmission is a 5 speed Tremec rated for 600 hp. Huge B-Cool aluminum radiator. Exhaust is a full 3 inch
stainless steel from front to back. This is a well sorted out Camaro even though it has been lowered front and rear
the headers are short tube which eliminates bottoming out. The rear end is a GM 12 bolt with 3:73 to 1 gears.
Wilwood disc brakes in the front with 9 inch drums in the rear. Car has Vintage Air a/c that is cold as ice. Heat
works excellent. The headlight doors open manually lights work perfectly I never take the car out at night so no
need for lights. Body is straight all gaps are excellent, paint is a 9.0 out of 10 due to road chips but they have
been touched up. Body is lined with Dynamat sound inhibitor. Glass is all new and in excellent condition. Trunk is
mint with battery housed inside. Interior is full leather in brand new condition. 3700 miles since total
restoration. This Camaro only had 38000 original miles before restoration began. Rides on Michelin 245/50 ZR17 in
the rear and 225/50 ZR17 in the front. Rims are Cragar. Please view video and pictures as they are a part of my
description. Car is sold as is where is. I have 60K invested in parts alone in this build, the total cost is
approximately 90K. I have it insured through Hagerty for $65,000. This car is in mint condition it drives, runs
and handles like a true Pro Touring car, way to much to list here. The car is not for the faint of heart, she's
very quick with tremendous torque and indescribable top end, yet you can still drive the car like a gentlemen.

Steve McQueen's last movie car, now Pawn Stars-owned, up for auction [w/video]

Sun, 03 Feb 2013

The last car Steve McQueen ever drove in a movie is officially up for auction. The 1951 Chevrolet Styline DeLuxe Convertible you see above is now owned by none other than Rick Harrison of Pawn Stars fame, but once ferried McQueen around the set of his last film, 1980's The Hunter. That flick saw the Bullit star play a bumbling bounty hunter and didn't exactly set the box office on fire. McQueen bought the car after production wrapped, and four years later it sold at his estate sale at the Imperial Palace in Las Vegas.
Flash forward to 2003, and the convertible received a full restoration back to near-stock specifications. Hagerty Insurance estimates the car to be worth around $45,000 without the significant providence. Given its ties to one of film's most popular gearheads, the old Chevrolet could fetch up to 10 times that when it goes under the gavel in Ft Luaderdale, Florida on March 22. You can head over to the Auctions America site for more information. You can also check out the trailer for The Hunter below.

2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible gives us a couple of looks

Sat, 02 Mar 2013

Put away your pixel paintbrushes, kids. Pack up your Photoshop. This is the real-deal 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible in its first official images. The droptop Chevrolet will roll into the bright lights of the Palexpo exhibition at next week's Geneva Motor Show, a four-wheeled statement of intent that General Motors is serious about taking its Corvette franchise global.
Chevy isn't providing anything in the way of further details with these two shots, but we've learned at least a couple of things about the car shown here. First off, the example seen in these images is fitted with the optional Z51 Performance Package - something that isn't immediately evident because there's no sign of the coupe model's prominent ductwork on its rear haunches. In order to accommodate the power folding hard tonneau cover, the vents that feed the transmission and differential coolers have been relocated to the underside of the car. The dark paint color on this example also does a good job of muting the contrasting black front fender vents and hood opening - Z51-spec design details that have proven to be somewhat controversial.
One other thing to note: These two shots also display the Stingray wearing different alloy wheels than the split five-spoke design shown at the hardtop's Detroit Auto Show unveiling in January. The simpler, thin five-spoke wheels should do a good job of showing off the Z51's upgraded brakes, and they'll be optional on the coupe as well.

Chevy shows much-improved 2014 Corvette interior in new video

Mon, 11 Feb 2013

If you want a closer look at what went into designing and building the interior for the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette, we've got just the thing. General Motors has released a new video detailing the cabin's evolution from conception to execution, complete with commentary from Ryan Vaughn, performance car interior design manager with Chevrolet. The quick clip details how manufacturing, engineering and design within General Motors worked together from the first sketches to ensure no compromises had to be made later down the line. How novel.
With plenty of hides traced with contrast stitching and available real carbon fiber trim, the cabin looks to be a few hundred miles ahead of the C6. Given how readily critics derided the previous generation for its cabin, the C7 should make writers work a little harder to find something to complain about. Check out the video below for yourself.
