1971 Camaro with too much to list....I will name some of what comes to mind. Has a 469 big block and 671 BDS blower. Makes 10lb boost with current pulleys at 6% overdrive (should be 700hp or so) on 93 pump gas also have a 6% underdrive pulley. Has power steering and power 4 wheel disk brakes. Engine has only break in time on it. Has forged flat top Icon pistons 8.1-8.5 CR, Scat crank, forged I beam rods, lunati voodoo cam, 1.73 roller rockers, 049 oval port big valve heads, high volume oil pump with welded pick up, 7qt oil pan, MSD pro billet distributor, sfi fluid dampener, dual 4150 series holley carbs, Quick fuel 175 fuel pump and braided teflon fuel hose, 1/2 high flow fuel pick-up, hooker competition 2-1/4 primary x 3-1/2 collector ceramic headers, 3" magnaflo exhaust with x pipe, 6AL 2 programmable ignition (timing and boost curves programmed in with laptop), wideband air/fuel ratio meter, boost gauge, built turbo 400 trans with 2qt cast aluminum pan and 3800 stall, aluminum Champion radiator with electric thermostatically controlled fan, poly motor mounts, black 220amp one wire alternator, and so much more. Autoblog Podcast #327:

Chevy monitors drivers' biometrics while experiencing new Corvette Stingray

Fri, 25 Oct 2013

We tell you about what a car is like to drive every day, remarking on throttle response, steering weight and feedback, squat, dive, brake fade and a dozen or more other factors of performance. What we can't tell you, though, is what the car does to us - how its performance impacts us, physically. That's what makes this video series from Chevrolet so darn cool.
The Bow-Tie brand rented out Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch, got several (very) different individuals together, strapped a bunch of sensors to their bodies to record biometric data ranging from heart rate to respiration to brain activity, and then handed them keys to the new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. The results are explained in a series of videos, devoted to each driver, showing how different people react to the Corvette's performance.
If, like your author, you're a nerd for medical science, this is going to be a fascinating set of videos. If not, it's still pretty cool to see how the body of someone with racing experience, like Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi, reacts to tracking a car like the Corvette Stingray compared to the owner of legendary Detroit barbecue joint, Slows BBQ. Take a look below for all six videos from the series, or hop over to the Corvette Vimeo channel for the interactive experience, where you can see all the different metrics.

PickupTrucks.com's latest test results in a familiar winner [w/video]

Wed, 19 Jun 2013

PickupTrucks.com has gone and thrown the latest batch of half-ton pickups into a cage match to see who would come out on top. The site put the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, GMC Sierra 1500, 2013 Ford F-150, Ram 1500, Toyota Tundra and Nissan Titan through a battery of tests. Those included 0-60 miles per hour acceleration, 60-0 mph deceleration, fuel economy, a hill climb, and payload and towing. They even threw the rigs on an autocross course to evaluate overall handling. Each truck was given points based on how it scored in each evaluation.
Who came out on top? Somewhat surprisingly, the 2013 Ford F-150 walked away with the gold, though fewer than 50 points separated first and fourth place. Head over to PickupTrucks.com to read the full evaluation and the final results. You may be shocked to see exactly where some of the segment's newest additions placed. You can also watch a video on the test below.
