Well yet again I have found myself with more toys than time.

1971 Camaro with
388 stroker (550-600HP)
holley aluminum heads and intake
pro form 850 carb
400 trans w/ 4.11 gearing
new flowmasters
air shocks on rear w/ traction bars
10.5 slicks w/ skinnies on front
high cap fuel cell

The car has been caged but was not TUBBED or CUT. I did remove the factory dash but have all the original pieces. The dash upper was warped terribly and I ordered a cap for it but due to the warp it wouldn't fit so the cap will go with the car. The motor was recently pulled due to a oil pump change. I put a higher pressure pump in it along with all new gaskets and seals. I also put a 2500 stall in it which helped but this motor needs about a 4500 to make it wheely. After I replaced all that I took it to a local race engine builder and had him to a full valve and carb adjustment on it to get it tuned right and he said that with the motor setup I have he could easily convert it to alcohol and he valued the motor alone at 10k. I have only taken it to the track one time and it ran low 11s through the quarter and 6.7 through 1/8. It would run low - mid 10s no problem with either the 4500 stall or transbrake. It has a clean and clear title in my name and is currently registered in Mississippi. With the high cap fuel cell you can easily ride around anywhere. It currently does not have blinkers hooked up. The paint is decent it has a few rust bubbles where the paint was either not prepped or sealed properly but fortunately all panels are solid. For some reason a sunroof was put in the car who knows what they were smoking when they did that. I think I covered everything but if you have any additional questions comments or concerns please ask away. I don't want my time or yours wasted in the event I did leave something out and any travel time is burned.

Lutz dishes dirt on GM in latest Autoline Detroit

Bob Lutz sits down for Autoline Detroit - Click above to watch video after the jump
Autoline Detroit recently played host to Bob Lutz, and, as is always the case, the former General Motors vice chairman dished out some great commentary. Lutz was promoting his new book Car Guys vs. Bean Counters: The Battle for the Soul of American Business, and talk quickly turned to his role as it related to product development and high-level decision making at GM. While on the topic of brand management, Lutz revealed a few rather interesting tidbits about his former employer:
All Chevrolet vehicles were required to have five-spoke aluminum wheels and a chrome band up front, as part of the Bowtie brand's overall image.

Next-gen GM SUVs caught wearing new boxy bodies [w/video]

Wed, 15 May 2013

We recently drove the brand-new 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and found it to be vastly improved compared to the outgoing model. And now that The General's pickup trucks have been squared away, it's time to focus our attention onto their passenger-friendly companions, the Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon (above).
Our spy photographers have passed along a huge smattering of photos (and a video), showing the new SUVs out testing. Both the short- and long-wheelbase models were spied, and while the overall shape of the vehicles hasn't changed all that much, we expect the updates to be substantial. In addition to new powertrain options, like GM's new small-block V8, we expect the interiors of both SUVs to get massive makeovers, providing better materials throughout their cabins and quieter, more refined environments. We even hear that some trick new suspension developments may be in store for upper-end models.
Visually, these spy shots allow us to see a couple of new details on the SUVs' front and rear fascias, including LED running lamps on the Yukon and some interesting LED taillamp treatments. Of course, the obvious third party missing from this set of photos is the Cadillac Escalade, but as we reported earlier, GM is working to further differentiate the 'Slade from the rest of the fullsize SUV lineup, and is working to make the new model "much less ostentatious."

Toyota tops Kelley Blue Book's Resale Value Awards

Tue, 27 Nov 2012

Kelley Blue Book announced its annual Best Resale Value Award winners, and we weren't too surprised to see the list dominated by Japanese automakers - mainly Toyota and Honda. KBB hands out the awards based on the projected residual value of mostly all 2013 model year vehicles, and Toyota skated home with a number of awards including 10 of the 22 overall categories and having five of its products in the top 10 for models with best resale value. KBB's Best Resale Value Awards were announced in the same week as the ALG Residual Value Awards, and there were many similarities between both lists, especially when it came to Toyota.
To come up with its winners, KBB measures depreciation over the first five years of ownership, and looks for the cars it expects to hold its value the best after this time; on average, the report says the 2013 model year vehicles will lose 61.8 percent of its value in five years. Of the 22 categories, 15 slots were filled by Toyota, Honda and Nissan products, while the Camaro and Porsche (Cayenne and Panamera) each took home a pair of awards. If Toyota has anything to be upset about in this list of cars, it's that categories for Hybrid/Alternative Energy Car and Electric Vehicle went to the Ford Fusion and Chevrolet Volt, respectively.
The overall top 10 models for the best resale value in 2013 are, in alphabetical order:
