Once in a Lifetime find! I am selling a 1978 Camao with original 30,000 miles. The previous owner garranteed the car to have original miles. I was hard to convince that the miles were right until I test drove the car myself. After looking the car over and driving it back and forth to work for the past week, it would be very hard to convince me otherwise. This Camaro runs and drives like a new one. This car spent it's life in Southern California with lots of sun and not much rain; therefore, the exterior paint, dash pad, and rear package tray have condition issues due to the exreme heat. The good news is that the trunk, quarter panels, doors, and floors are all solid and rust free. The car has never been hit, and all body panels are straight and bondo free. There are a few very small door dings that I tried to capture in the photos. The front bucket seats, door panels, headliner, sunvisors, and rear interior plastic panels are all in great shape. Even the door and roof rail rubber seals are still in good shape! The dash pad is warped on the top edge (no cracks), the package tray needs to be replaced, the console glove box lid has a small split in the vinyl, the carpet has a hole in it where the driver's left foot sould set, and the top edge of the back seat has a few small cracks due to the sun. The camro was purchased new, and spent most of it's life owned by an adult women. No modifications have been done to this Camaro. How many Camaros can you say that about??? The car is equipped with power steering, power brakes, tilt steering, AM-FM radio 250 cubic inch inline six, and 3 speed automatic transmission. Perfect candidate for a Z-28 clone or drive a cool Camaro and get good milage doing it. Ready to drive anywhere. Tagged, inspected, and like new tires, you can fly in and drive home!

Pure Vision Design TT Camaro has 1,400 reasons to want it

Wed, 06 Nov 2013

We've talked about Pure Vision Design before, a California-based company that made waves at last year's SEMA show with its Martini-liveried, Indy-car-powered Ford Mustang. That same car later starred in a Petrolicious video we showed you just a few weeks back. The company's latest creation is a menacing car it calls the Pure Vision Design TT Camaro. Based on a 1972 model, this car shares the Martini Mustang's clean styling and obsession with details.
Unlike the Mustang, which draws its power from a mid-60s Lotus-Ford Indycar engine, the "TT" in this Camaro's name implies something far more potent. The Nelson Racing Engines 427-cubic-inch V8 has been fitted with a pair of turbochargers, with a claimed output of 1,400 horsepower. That's almost 1,000 more than the Martini Mustang.
A six-speed Magnum transmission dispatches that power to the ground, while Pirelli PZero tires are tasked with (somehow) trying to grip the road. Baer brakes hide behind those HRE rims, while JRI coilovers and HyperTech springs bless the Camaro with some degree of competency in the bends.

The 2014 Chevrolet SS sedan is for drivers who value performance above all else

Sat, 16 Feb 2013

The car you see above is the 2014 Chevrolet SS, and it's important both because it is the first rear-wheel-drive performance sedan from Chevy in 17 years, and because it will be the nameplate the brand uses on NASCAR tracks all across the country starting this year.
Though it wears a name as American as baseball and apple pie, the machine was actually designed and built in Australia, sharing most of its parts with the brand-new VF-model Holden Commodore. That said, the basic chassis bits are shared with other Chevrolet models like the Camaro and Caprice Police Patrol Vehicle.
While Chevrolet is happy to sell a Malibu or Impala to anyone looking for a mainstream family sedan, but the SS is reserved for buyers interested first and foremost in performance. Most sedans sold these days are front-wheel drive, which is great for everyday driving and when the weather goes bad, but the SS is instead a rear-wheel-drive vehicle aimed at enthusiasts who love to drive and who prefer speed and performance above all else.

Why Cadillac thinks it needs to succeed in Europe to sell cars elsewhere

Tue, 26 Feb 2013

Ward's Auto has taken an interesting look at the renewed focus General Motors is showing towards Cadillac in Europe. Susan Docherty, president and managing director of Chevrolet and Cadillac in Europe (pictured), says in order for the luxury brand to thrive in China, it first needs to succeed in the old country. The reason? Chinese buyers look to Europe for cues as to what's deemed worthy of the term "luxury." There are hurdles to the plan, however. In addition to the fact that the EU is flooded with high-end nameplates, GM doesn't necessarily have the distribution network in place to put buyers behind the wheel.
Combine that with persistent economic woes and Cadillac's checkered past marred by a lack of diesel engine options and a bankrupt distributor, and the road ahead for the brand looks like less of an uphill climb and more like a straight-up cliff face. But Docherty is optimistic and says she has a plan for the brand. We recommend heading over to Ward's for a closer look at the full read.
