1986 Camaro IROC-Z Burgundy exterior/Tan interior, this IROC-Z is 95% original, the only aftermarket additions that I am aware of are the following:
The overall condition of this vehicle is GOOD, I will try to touch the most asked about areas on a scale of 1-10: Interior 8.5 - Overall great shape, original seats have no holes or tears, original steering wheel is solid, dash is not faded cracked or damaged, rear cargo area has a small hole in upholstery but nothing major, door panels are solid with no cracks, carpet and headliner are both in great shape as well, aftermarket window tint is older and bubbling in several areas and should be removed at some point in my opinion, aftermarket stereo works but amplifier does not I think it is just a connection issue Exterior 7.5 - The exterior paint overall is solid, car is rust free, there is a small area on the left rear bumper where the paint is chipping, weather stripping around windows is dry and cracked and should be replaced, all lights/blinkers function normally, doors close evenly and line up properly, undercarriage is solid and hardtop roof does not leak Wheels/Tires 6 - Wheels are original 16" bronzed IROC wheels and are in pretty good shape, tires are a little old and should be replaced at some point Engine 9 - Original LB9 Tuned Port 305ci V8 engine runs strong and has 115785 Original miles, car has been sitting for several months and could probably use an oil change, engine compartment is a little dirty but everything is in working order Overall 8 - This IROC truly is a great example of a well cared for classic, with only a minor amount of effort this could be a perfect specimen. This car has a clean Carfax and the title is onsite. There are no major issues with this car, it is in great shape for a 28 year old vehicle. GM throttles back Chevy Malibu, Buick LaCrosse production over swollen inventories
Wed, 06 Feb 2013As inventory of the Chevrolet Malibu and Buick LaCrosse continues to pile up, General Motors will be idling its Fairfax Assembly Plant for two weeks, according to Automotive News. This move comes about a month after the plant was shut down for three weeks in late December and early January for the same reason. As of January 31, the GM had a 94-day supply of Malibu stock while the LaCrosse was a little worse with a 117-day supply.
Just last week, GM announced that it would be investing $600 million in upgrading this plant, but it's unclear what future plans the company has in store for Fairfax considering slow sales of both the plant's models. We do expect a refreshed and more luxurious LaCrosse shortly and an early design update for the Malibu to be announced at some point this year, although we have had no official word as to when either will happen.
Chevy SS prototype spotted wearing Pontiac G8 clothes

Do not adjust your computer screen, you are not seeing the rebirth of the Pontiac brand. General Motors has chosen to use a G8 to disguise a test mule for the latest prototype of the forthcoming Chevrolet SS. The G8 was closely related to the Holden Commodore and Vauxhall VXR, the platform upon which the new Chevrolet performance model will be based. It should come as little surprise, then, that GM has opted to use the cladding from the former G8.
Thought the front clip of this mule is pure Pontiac, note the vents immediately behind the front wheel. That is a distinctive design hallmark of the Vauxhall VXR. Also note that this vehicle is right-hand drive, as the Holden and its Chevy counterpart will be very closely related. That likely includes potential drivetrains. The spy photos of this mule also reveal very wide rear tires, and rear wheels that do not match the fronts.
Fewer than 1 in 3 Chevy dealers earn right to initially sell C7 Corvette
Mon, 01 Apr 2013Looking to make the launch of the 2014 Corvette Stingray as efficient as possible, Chevrolet will be limiting the numbers of its dealers that can sell the all-new coupe and convertible. According to Automotive News, sales of the C7 Corvette will initially be limited to less than a third of Chevy's total dealership network when the 'Vette goes on sale this summer.
Only 900 dealers out of more than 3,000 locations nationwide will be allowed to sell the new Corvette at first, and the reason for this is so that there are no shortages at dealers that can actually get the cars sold. The article says that the 900 dealerships chosen represented 80 percent of total Corvette sales in 2012.
Some of the requirements dealers had to make to get initial allocation of Stingray sales include having sold at least four Corvettes in 2012 and having a Corvette Stingray specialist who will be required to have gone through a training session costing more than $2,000 per attendee. Once demand for the 2014 Corvette Stingray begins to subside - approximately six to nine months after it goes on sale - then allocation could open up to more dealers, but the report indicates this could happen following the 2014 model year.
