1993 Chevrolet Camaro V8 Auto Lt1 - B4c - Fast, Nice Car!!! on 2040-cars
Atkins, Arkansas, United States
Up for auction is my 1993 Chevrolet
Camaro b4c car. The car has the police
interceptor package which included the LT1 V8 and 4 Speed Automatic
transmission. This car is in excellent
condition. There are NO cracks in the
dash, the seats do not have any rips or tears in them, and the car does not
have any dents. The car’s odometer shows
86,174 miles. The car actually has fewer
miles than this on it. The speedometer
is 20 mph fast (if you’re going 40 mph, the speedometer shows 60 mph). This is because of the gear ratio in the rear
end. The car has a 9” Ford rear end with
a Strange™
third member case, Detroit Locker, Moser Axles, Timken Bearings, ARP wheel
studs, and Richmond 4.56:1 gears. The rear
end is attached to the car with a BMR™ Suspension package. The transmission has had a shift kit
installed and has a Transmission Specialties 3500 stall Lock up torque
converter. The motor has also had
multiple upgrades also. It has a Comp
Cams XE230/236 camshaft, Comp Cams Hardened pushrods and guide plates, 1.6
Aluminum Roller Rockers, 1.44 roller cam springs and steel retainers, full MSD
ignition system with the 6AL box, and it also has a set of Pacesetter Ceramic
coated long tube headers. The car has a custom
PCM calibration that was done by Redline Performance Motorsports. The car was run on the dyno at Redline and
produced 350 hp and 345 Ft/lbs of torque.
The car has a set of Weld Racing Wheels with new tires on the front and
a set of Nitto NT555R 275/60R15 Drag Radial tires on the rear that have approx.
50% tread left. Everything on the car
works like it did the day the car was new.
The only two things wrong with the car is the knob on the drivers power
seat control is broken (it is still usable, the knob is just a colored cover),
and the front valance had a small crack that was repaired. I have run the car at the local
drag strip which is ‘1000 ft. and the car ran a 10.030 @ 103 mph. The car is very reliable and looks great. Please feel free to ask me ANY
questions!! Thanks for looking!!! |

GM recalls full-size truck, SUVs and vans over faulty shifter mechanism
Mon, 07 Jan 2013Twelve different General Motors vehicles from the 2013 model year, up to 54,686 units in total, are being recalled over two potential issues with their steering columns. The models in question, all full-size trucks, SUVs or vans, are the: Cadillac Escalade, Escalade ESV, Escalade EXT, Chevrolet Avalanche, Express, Silverado, Suburban, Tahoe, and GMC Savana, Sierra, Yukon and Yukon XL.
The affected vehicles were built with a fractured parking lock cable or "a malformed steering column lock actuator gear in the lock module assembly." As a consequence, they could shift out of park without the brake pedal being applied or with the key removed or in the off position.
A bulletin from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration indicates that the recall should begin on January 17. GM will notify owners, at which time they can take their vehicles to their dealers for repair free of charge. Have a look at the bulletin below for more information.
Silverado HD, Touareg V10 TDI face off in diesel tug-of-war
Sun, 30 Dec 2012A couple weeks ago, we watched a Chevrolet Silverado get dominated by a Dodge Ram Heavy Duty in a fullsize pickup tug-of-war, but in that truck's defense, Chevy's Vortec gas engine was no match for the torquey Cummins turbo diesel. For our next round of vehicular tug-of-war, a Duramax-powered Silverado HD takes on Volkswagen Touareg V10 TDI.
Now, on paper, putting the Duramax V8's 365 horsepower and 660 pound-feet of torque up against the V10's 310 hp and 553 lb-ft looks like an easy win for the Bowtie, but unfortunately, this battle has a similar result as the Dodge versus Chevy video, with the Silverado smoking its tires trying to move forward as it gets pulled backwards. Put another way: YouTube 2, Chevy Silverado 0.
It just goes to show, though, that big tires, bolt-on fender flares and goofy smoke stacks don't improve your towing abilities. Besides, what did the Silverado driver expect when the Touareg V10 TDI has towed a Boeing 747 in the past?
GM applies for LT5, LTX trademarks... are new small block variants coming?
Mon, 29 Apr 2013Recently discovered General Motors trademark applications for LT4, LT5, LT88 and LTX have observers wondering what kind of high-performance offerings could be on their way. A new LT4 would mark a return of the engine designation first used on the Corvette Grand Sport, SLP Pontiac Firehawk and SLP Chevrolet Camaro SS from 1996 and 1997. Supposition at Corvette Forum - which provided advance intel on the C7 like these leaked images - believes a new LT4 could go into the high-performance trim of the next-gen, 2015 Camaro that would be more powerful than the 580-horsepower Camaro ZL1.
Seeing an LT5 again would also be déjà vu - in its former life it was a 5.7-liter V8 for the C4 Corvette ZR-1 from 1990-1994 designed by Lotus, producing from 370 hp to 405 hp. A mix of rumor and hope is that the new LT5 will be a supercharged evolution of the 6.2-liter LT1 (pictured) placed in the new C7 Corvette, and that it will go into the C7 version of the ZR1 pumping out something like 700 hp.
The LTX trademark is, as with that last letter, a complete mystery. If the "X" isn't a generic way to denote the whole LT family, it's wondered if it LTX could refer to a crate motor offering like the LSX.
