Pro Street Chev F body Camaro Z28 454 4L80E

Pro Street - High-end, High Performance , or straight out Pro Dragster. This was my son's "hobby" car, he was a GM Mastermechanic, was lead technician at ( Ar. G.M.-Buick) GM dealership, with 15 years experience. He had custom built many GM engines on the side over the years for his own and others projects (see pics of a 350 put into a street legal 4 X 4 "semi-Monster" Truck). He had spent about a year purchasing the parts ($9K+, like the GM 1T HiPerformance Heads @ $1,100 w/o valves) and building the engine, 454/450+ HP (see pics), and was in final stages of setting up the car he wanted, a Camaro F body Z28. The car has a lot more in parts in it than what we are willing to sell it for (HAS $9,150+ HI-Performance PARTS in it -w/no labor charge ($150+hr) or cost of Z28) . Can drive it as is; comes with another flywheel that, due to compression, should be installed. Finish it out with new wheels/tires; paint. Other endless add-ons from there are up to buyer; make it a $20-30-50,000 car. If I spent $2,500 on new wheels/tires, hood-scoop finished out, and painted; I'd want at least $20,000. Amelia Island 2013: Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray from concepts to split windows

While this year marks 60 years of the Chevrolet Corvette, the 2013 Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance focused on one of the coupe's most sought after models, the 1963 Sting Ray. General Motors design boss Ed Welburn was on hand to show off the all-new C7 Corvette, but even the hard-edged styling of the 2014 Stingray couldn't take away from the beautiful 1963 models sitting out on the field.
In addition to the original Sting Ray and the 1959 Sting Ray Concept, some of the other classic 'Vettes included "Big Tank" racecars, an interesting cutaway coupe, a right-hand-drive Z06 and the attention-grabbing 1963 Corvette Rondine by Pininfarina. Another impressive Corvette was the 1964 Corvette XP-819 rear-engine prototype. Owner Mike Yager had the car finished as a driving chassis for this year's show, but promises the car will be back to its original glory in time for next year's event.

If you are a big fan of automotive oddities, this may come as a little treat. If you are a Shelby or Mustang diehard, prepare to have your sensibilities violated.
The master fabricators at BigDaddyCustoms are the minds behind what you see above. At first, it appears to be a slightly misshapen custom Mustang, modeled after "Eleanor" from Gone In 60 Seconds, but upon further examination, something appears to be amiss. In fact, the custom shop, based in India, has created an Eleanor replica grafted upon a lowly Chevrolet Optra. While it may take a second for the Optra to ring a bell, you should recognize its badge-engineered sibling, the Daewoo Lacetti, used on Top Gear.
We don't know what star would opt for the Reasonably Priced Car in Shelby's clothing, but it's clearly someone more concerned with the aesthetic than the performance credentials of this automotive mash-up.

Chevy SS prototype spotted wearing Pontiac G8 clothes

Do not adjust your computer screen, you are not seeing the rebirth of the Pontiac brand. General Motors has chosen to use a G8 to disguise a test mule for the latest prototype of the forthcoming Chevrolet SS. The G8 was closely related to the Holden Commodore and Vauxhall VXR, the platform upon which the new Chevrolet performance model will be based. It should come as little surprise, then, that GM has opted to use the cladding from the former G8.
Thought the front clip of this mule is pure Pontiac, note the vents immediately behind the front wheel. That is a distinctive design hallmark of the Vauxhall VXR. Also note that this vehicle is right-hand drive, as the Holden and its Chevy counterpart will be very closely related. That likely includes potential drivetrains. The spy photos of this mule also reveal very wide rear tires, and rear wheels that do not match the fronts.
