PLEASE READ ALL DESCRIPTION, PICK UP DETAILS AND PAYMENT REQUIRMENTS BEFORE YOU BID!!!!!  Hello, up for bids is a 1973 Chevrolet Caprice Station Wagon that would be great for restoration or to pull your demolition derby car to the meets!!!!  Too nice to derby it.  Has a clear NC Title.

I bought this car with no engine and tranny.  Took the engine and tranny out of a running and driving 1986 3/4 ton Chevy Van and installed it.    The van had 36,000 original miles (owner got too old and lost his license to drive). Never finished hooking everything up yet on the car but just put them in last year.  The car is complete other than A/C pump.  The wagon only has 30,073 original miles and is very solid with minor issues (see pics.).

Underneath the car is very solid with no rust out spots.  Frame is really nice. I have taken pictures of all rust spots that could be a problem.  If you have any questions you can email or call me at 919-698-3536.

Car is located in Creedmoor NC 27522 which is just North of Raleigh.  Car needs to be trailered or hauled on transporter as it is not running.

NO EXCEPTIONS TO  THESE RULES:  Car must be paid for within 7 days of auction end and picked up within 15 days of auction end.  I would prefer cash in person but you can make a $200 deposit through Paypal if you cannot pay in person within the 7 days.  Please do not send total payment to Paypal.

Thanks so much and God Bless.

2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Convertible is the track car for sun worshippers

Fri, 11 Apr 2014

Supercharged, 6.2-liter V8? Check. Seven-speed manual? Check. Obsession with weight? Check.
What did you expect when Chevrolet said it was bringing a new Corvette variant to the 2014 New York Auto Show? Maybe a sticker and trim package, like the C6 Corvette Grand Sport or a tie-in deal like the Black Widow car from Chicago? On the opposite end, maybe there was an even more hardcore Z06 waiting in the wings. Who knew?

Chevy Corvette Stingray picks up another award, this time from Automobile

Mon, 18 Nov 2013

The new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray has picked up another buff book accolade after capturing Road and Track's Performance Car of the Year award. The seventh-generation of America's sports car (sorry Viper, Mustang, et al.) has been named Automobile Magazine's Automobile of the Year.
Automobile's award to the Corvette over competitors is the mirror image of its rival Motor Trend, which named the Cadillac CTS its car of the year over the C7. The CTS was, according to the Automobile team, the closest contender to the mighty Stingray. Great news all around for General Motors it seems.
As for what pushed the Corvette past its distant, four-door cousin, Automobile commended its excellent, 6.2-liter V8 calling the car's performance "simply awesome" while also remarking that it is easier to drive fast than ever before thanks to steering and chassis tweaks. Following a theme set by other publications, there were also plaudits for the interior, of all things, with the buff book complimenting the car's ergonomics and material quality, while also praising the standard seats.

Corvette Stingray Convertible images mysteriously appear on web, so we add our own

Tue, 22 Jan 2013

It was inevitable that we'd see the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray topless at some point, but that didn't make us any less interested when a pair of supposedly leaked official images showed up on theautoinsiderblog.com last week. We posted them on our Facebook page, but held off reporting on them here until we could get a little more information.
Those images, which feature a dark red car on a sterile black studio background, supposedly first appeared on the website of diecast model maker Maisto. A Chevrolet spokesman has been reported saying that they are "not official images released by Chevrolet PR," which isn't a denial they're the real deal, but neither is it a confirmation.
Close examination of the photos suggest they could be official shots of the Corvette Stingray Convertible, and while some have doubted their authenticity due to a lack of vents (which were seen on the C7s that debuted in Detroit last week), it could be that the images are of a base model car without the Z51 package that doesn't require the extra venting and cooling.
