ONE OF THE LAST OF THE BIG BOY'S THE 96.5 COLLECTOR'S EDITONS ARE AMONG THE BEST AND MOST SOUGHT AFTER OF THE IMPALA SS'S

No clone here this is the real deal The caprice ss's were the twin of the impala ss's

sold in canada and other countries only a few were sold in the U.S.A,very rare in the U.S

The last 96 real caprice ss here on ebay sold for over $20,000.

no difference between the caprice and impala ss except for badging/emblems

This one was my daily driver/resto mod for 3 years.I have put over $6000.00

in this one in the past three years in new and upgraded parts.to get it back to original condition or better.

the following is a list of some parts and upgrades that were added

new moog front drag link,tie rods and pitman arm,other front end parts

4 new moog high performance coil springs front is 1' inch lower than stock

rear is 1" higher so the car has a more aggressive stance and better handling

4 new shocks

5 new kumho z-rated radials  255/50/ZR 17 on original reconditioned ss rims with new

aftermarket center caps, with less than 5,000 miles

new alternator

new water pump and thermostat

all new A/C system, compressor, evaporator, drier, condensor, car blows ice cold a/c

2 new after market radiator cooling electric fans

new Xenon front headlights , alot brighter than originals

custom hand stiched leather seats front and rear,and console,steering wheel, and upgraded other interior pieces, dash door panels

full new paint job in 2011 original dark cherry met,

car could use some/detailing/buffing/paint touch up to really make it shine though

I know I am forgetting some of the new things added,not to mention countless time and labor spent improving and replacing parts

the 5.7 LT1 has about 50,000 on the rebuilt engine,so I was told by the original previous owner,who owned it since new for 15 years,runs very strong no leaks ,does not burn any oil,I personally have done 120-140 mph with this car, never driven in snow and or salt roads/mostly garage kept

"on race tracks only of course" the car handles like a dream even on sharp turns with all the new suspension and steering parts added,not like a big boat as some of the older ss's do.

such as donked lowered,bagged raised on 24's all that does is ruin your handling ability

bid with confidence this car was built and maintained and driven mostly by me an ASE certified mechanic,that is an amateur racer also

The car is very reliable I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere , I drove it over 1000 miles with no issues

the only real reason I am selling is because I have too many other toys and projects

my number one being a 90% restored 67 pontiac firebird conv HO  car

took it to the car wash today and it got a lot of looks ,one truck driver literally turned around and stopped and asked if it was for sale, I said yes but said he would not have money til December, I am leaving to go back overseas in 3-4 weeks and would like it sold/paid for /and shipped by than,

I have a whole other 96  SS  for parts so for the buy it now option the buyer can have the whole other car along with this one ,"no title ,front clip and hood wrecked, all other parts intact and good, if this car sells for less than my buy it now I will be parting out the other car, all good body and interior parts, good running engine and trans with aprox  95,000 miles,
