The vehicle has been well maintained with oil changed every 3000 miles. The vehicle is smoke free, and my wife and I are the second owners of the vehicle as far as I am aware, and we owned it since 2004 or 2005. The only wear on the interior of the vehicle is the drivers side floor mat, the rest of the interior is in excellent condition. As for the exterior of the vehicle, it is in good condition. There are some paint chips on the hood, a couple of scratches on the sides of the vehicle, as well as one rust spot on both sides of the vehicle. The trunk lid has a dent in it and some scrapes where we took off an old magnetic sticker. The rear bumper has a little crinkle over the license plate. All these issues are in the pictures. The only known mechanical problem is the driver's side window goes up real slow. The engine and transmission both work well, and run strong for the mileage. The Heat and AC both work great. BRAND NEW BRAKES AND ROTORS ALL THE WAY AROUND! Replaced just 3 or 4 months ago. Stock sound system still sounds great. The rear tires have 50% to 75% tread on them. Are you the 2014 Corvette Grand Sport?

Thu, 21 Feb 2013

When are stripes more than just stripes? Follow up question: Is the product development team at Chevrolet really cocky enough to hide the next C7 Corvette variant in plain sight? This very recently spotted, and ostensibly obscured C7 asks a lot more questions than it answers, but there's at least some evidence to support that it might be the next Corvette Grand Sport.
The first and most obvious tip-off that something is up with this 'Vette revolves around those silver stripes. Obviously the stripes themselves don't necessarily denote a new model. However, when Chevy recently launched its "colorizer" website for the Stingray, there was no provision made for racing stripes - solid colors only.
Grand Sport exhibit number two is actually an incriminating lack of badges. The production Corvettes we've seen to date have all carried Stingray badges on their fenders, just behind the vent. The car seen in these images has no such badges, which is an intriguing omission on an car that looks like a production-spec vehicle otherwise.

NHTSA could add 1M cars to GM recall

Wed, 13 Mar 2013

The Detroit Free Press is reporting that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration may expand a recall campaign for faulty brake lamps. The agency is currently looking into complaints that certain 2004-2011 Chevrolet Malibu models as well as some 2007-2009 Saturn Aura sedans may have brake lights that do not illuminate when the driver presses the pedal. Alternatively, the lamps may also illuminate without input from the driver. General Motors recalled 8,000 Pontiac G6 models from the 2005 model year for the same problem, and NHTSA is currently investigating whether to add 550,000 more G6 models built between 2005 and 2009 to the list for the same issue.
In addition, investigators are currently examining 97 complaints from Malibu and Aura owners with the same trouble. If NHTSA adds those models to the recall campaign, more than one million units could be covered. GM, meanwhile, says there have been no accidents or injuries as a result of the problem.
