2004 CHEVROLET CAVALIER

SUPER ECONOMIE! LOW PRICE!

GREAT TRANSPORTATION!

Woman driven car that runs great, looks great!

New Virginia State Safety Inspection.

1. Mechanical:  Engine, transmission and drive train are in excellent condition.  There are no knocks, no smoke, no ticks, no slips, no drips, no excuses. Oil & filter just changed, and everything for inspection fixed! Runs fine! Drive it home.  The rest of the car is in good condition.  Just passed Virginia State safety mechanical inspection: Tires, brakes, suspension, shocks, glass, lenses, exhaust, etc, are in working order and safe.  All on board computer lights work, and, the picture of the mileage shows none are lit while the car is running. Everything works. This Cavalier has never been abused.

2. Exterior:  This is basically a Virgina car... no snow, no salt, no rust.  All sheet metal is good.  The paint is in fair condition. There is a slight dent on the front of the hood. There is some clear-coat coming off the back of the roof and also top of the deck lid.  If you are looking for a transportation car, this one will go a long way without any paintwork!  If you would like to get the paintwork fixed, I can help. This Cavalier has never been abused.

3. Interior:  Really above average! Very little wear and tear, and very clean.  Has never needed to be cleaned. Seats, carpet, headliner, door panels, and dash are really not far from new.  The panel around the instrument cluster is cracked and is shown in a picture. This could be replaced. But, this Cavalier has never been abused!

PLEASE, ASK ME YOUR QUESTIONS.  I WILL ANSWER ALL QUESTIONS FAIRLY AND COMPLETELY.

IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR AN ECONOMICAL TRANSPORTATION CAR, LESS THAN $3,000, THIS IS A GOOD ONE!

Next-gen GM SUVs caught wearing new boxy bodies [w/video]

Wed, 15 May 2013

We recently drove the brand-new 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and found it to be vastly improved compared to the outgoing model. And now that The General's pickup trucks have been squared away, it's time to focus our attention onto their passenger-friendly companions, the Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon (above).
Our spy photographers have passed along a huge smattering of photos (and a video), showing the new SUVs out testing. Both the short- and long-wheelbase models were spied, and while the overall shape of the vehicles hasn't changed all that much, we expect the updates to be substantial. In addition to new powertrain options, like GM's new small-block V8, we expect the interiors of both SUVs to get massive makeovers, providing better materials throughout their cabins and quieter, more refined environments. We even hear that some trick new suspension developments may be in store for upper-end models.
Visually, these spy shots allow us to see a couple of new details on the SUVs' front and rear fascias, including LED running lamps on the Yukon and some interesting LED taillamp treatments. Of course, the obvious third party missing from this set of photos is the Cadillac Escalade, but as we reported earlier, GM is working to further differentiate the 'Slade from the rest of the fullsize SUV lineup, and is working to make the new model "much less ostentatious."

GM recalls Chevy Express, GMC Savana over rollaway concern

Mon, 21 Jan 2013

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a recall notice for a small number of General Motors fullsize vans due to possible rollaway concerns. On certain 2013 Chevrolet Express and 2013 GMC Savana models, it is possible to remove the key from the ignition without the shifter being in park.
Only 980 total units are being affected by this recall, and GM is fixing the issue by replacing the ignition cylinder and associated keys. Affected Chevy vans were built during most of November and December while its GMC counterpart was only built for a week in November. The recall goes into effect on January 23, and to find out if your vehicle applies to the recall, the GM and NHTSA contact numbers can be found on the official recall notice, which is posted below.

Watch this creative way to pull a truck's engine

Fri, 08 Mar 2013

Living in an apartment complex has its benefits, but for shade-tree mechanics who like/need to work on their own cars, it definitely has a number of disadvantages. Relatively simple tasks such as brake jobs and oil changes are difficult when you don't have dedicated driveway space, to say nothing of more in-depth repairs... like pulling an engine, for example.
For these types of challenges, a little ingenuity and plenty of muscle are needed to get the job done. Scroll down to watch these four men snatch the V8 out of a Chevrolet K1500 using nothing but a chain, landscape timber and good ol' fashioned brute strength. Good work, gentlemen.
