This is a nice 65 chevelle, very straight body, some rust on the bottom of the fenders and quarters, doesnt seem to have any bondo or plastic filler, paint is very shinny, all doors, trunk and hood open and close perfectly. Has a 283 with a 3 speed manual tranny. It has the shifter on the floor, but the original shifter on the column still there. The 283 engine has just been rebuilt , was bored .030 over, new pistons, bearings, oil pump, mild cam, new aluminum intake and 4 barrel edelbrock carb.(the original intake and 2 barrel are in the trunk). The engine has less than 20 miles on it. Also new are radiator, clutch, engine and tranny mounts and engine accesories. Car runs and drives beautifully. Interiors are in very good shape. The tires are old and worn out but still hold air. Frame and undercarriage are in great shape with no rot or holes. Floors and trunk are solid. It has some surface rust in the trunk floor. When I was a kid, I decided that life wasn't worth living if it weren't in pursuit of owning a GMC Typhoon. My 12-year-old self crafted a fiscal strategy that, when combined with my offer of a 49-percent share of ownership in the car in return for my parents' contribution of 80-percent of the purchase price, would see me behind the wheel of a Typhoon by the time I hit college. They walked away from the negotiating table and, the economic climate of the 8th grade being what it was at the time, another partner wasn't found before the Typhoon was discontinued.
Roy El-Rayes, however, has succeeded where 12-year-old me failed, and he did it by using the sort of professionalism that only a PowerPoint presentation can provide, along with some humor and bold-faced flattery.

For those of you still with us, the first race in the United SportsCar Championship (USCC) is done, but the discussions about it certainly won't end for a while. Daytona Prototypes claimed the first four overall places, the top spot taken by the No. 5 Action Express Coyote-Chevrolet Corvette DP driven by Joao Barbosa, Christian Fittipaldi, Sebastien Bourdain and Burt Friselle. The 16th and final caution of the race bunched the field up for an eight-minute sprint to the flag, so the first place getter finished just 1.4 seconds ahead of the No. 10 Wayne Taylor Racing Dallara-Chevrolet Corvette DP driven by Max Angelelli. Third place went to Brian Friselle in the No. 9 Action Express Chevrolet Corvette DP, 20 seconds down. Chevrolet power hasn't taken the overall win since 2003, eleven years later it scores a one-two-three-four. The No. 6 Muscle Milk/Pickett Racing ORECA-Nissan 03 scored fifth place, the top LMP2 finisher.
The Prototype Challenge class win went to the No. 54 CORE Autosport team of Colin Braun, Jon Bennett, Mark Wilkins and James Gue.
