For sale is my 1966 chevy chevelle. The car came from the factory with a 327,4-speed,10 bolt posi, buckets, console, tilt wheel, and tinted windows. The chevelle has been professionally dipped and is ready for restoration. The 327 currently in the car is not original to the car but is an original 1966 327 that is only a few months from the build date. The motor is from another car and runs great. the car had a muncie 4-speed from the factory but there is now a saginaw 4-speed in it. The original speedometer hole is on the passenger side indicating a muncie trans. The bell housing is an original GM type. the rear end appears to be the original 10 bolt positraction. The interior was changed to black early in its life but the tilt wheel still has the original blue paint on it. The tilt was professionally rebuilt with new bearings and tested for function and is in excellent condition. I sanded off the black paint to show the original blue paint. The seats are 1966 type but they came from a pontiac, they need to be recovered in original blue material to make them factory looking again. The console was missing when i got the car.The original factory tinted windows are with the car accept the front windshield, there is a new windshield with the car. the glass is wrapped up in cardboard for protection during shipping. The intake manifold is an original GM snowflake 327-350 hp type # 3890490.
The bumpers, trims, electrical, dash parts, etc all come with the sale of the chevelle. The car was completly stripped down and professionally dipped to do a high dollar restoration. The dipping was over 2200.00. The car is a local west coast car and does not need any panels replaced just some rust repair that you can see in the pictures. The gold brown tint you see in the pictures is a coating to prevent rusting and will sand off for the body and paint work. The frame was completly stripped down and restored. The frame is in excellent condition. New body bushings come with the car. Only a few were installed so it will be easy to take the boby off the frame for a complete paint job.
The firewall tag was removed for the dipping process so it would not be destroyed. I have the original firewall tag and a clear title in my name. Thr tag reads as followed

More Corvette Stingray Factoids: Vanishing panel gaps and 26-mpg LT1
Thu, 28 Feb 2013During January's Detroit Auto Show, we managed a longer than expected wandering tag-team interview with C7 Corvette chief engineering exec Tadge Juechter (pictured above), and LT1 engine boss Jordan Lee (pictured below). They are, quite honestly, two of the very nicest bigshot lads to ever walk the engineering corridors of an American manufacturer. Both are enthralled by what they're doing for a day job. So are we.
We've followed the pre-sale anticipation for the Chevrolet C7 Corvette Stingray like an Oreck vacuum yanking every speck of dirt from a well-trampled carpet. Everything is reportable and contains a grain of further knowledge about this dramatically important and cheered-for car, as it continues to be pressured into representing all that is superior about the American dream. The Corvette wears one heavy cloak.
So, most of what was talked about has been expertly reported already right here on Autoblog. But, looking through our notes again, both Jeuchter and Lee added facts to the buzzing mix.
Dodge vs. Chevy tug-of-war taken to the extreme
Mon, 17 Dec 2012They say "idle hands are the devil's playground," but said playgrounds grow to Disney-sized proportions when a pair of jacked-up trucks, two egos, a chain and an empty mall parking lot are involved. Proof of this is the video below, which shows a Cummins-powered Dodge Ram circa 2006 to 2008 chained tail-to-tail with what looks to be a gasoline-powered Chevrolet Silverado from the late 1990s or early 2000s.
We don't necessarily have to tell you who wins this battle, but we'll let you see for yourself the lengths the "winning" driver goes to prove his point. There's plenty of foul language in the video below, so beware that this might be Not Safe For Work, and not that we should have to tell you, but please, do not try this at home.
Corvette Stingray designer lists five goals of new exterior shape
Fri, 12 Apr 2013Redesigning an icon is a difficult task, especially when you've got a blank sheet of paper in front of you and the all-new C7 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is intended to be your final objective.
General Motors has released a new short video featuring Kirk Bennion of the Corvette's exterior design team, talking about the challenges of sculpting Chevrolet's new flagship sports car and the five goals the team had to keep in mind as it worked. In the end, Bennion's team had the pleasure of seeing their hard work take center stage as the Corvette captured the world's eyes at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this year.
