Up for auction here is my 66 Chevelle. This car has had a Complete Frame Off Restoration. It received a Very Hi Dollar Black Paint Job that is Near Flawless. In my opinion no paint job is perfect, but it's hard to criticize anything with this car. This was a Very Clean No Accident car to start with and required minimal body work. The pictures don't do this car justice. I don't know how to use photo bucket so this is the best I could show. You are encouraged to come see this car in person. To look down the side of the car you can see there were hundreds of hours spent block sanding the paint. It's Lazor Straight and a Mile Deep.
This car can be considered a Pro Touring car since it has a modern GM Performance 502 Motor w/aluminum heads and roller valve train producing 540hp. The car is a Pleasure to Drive and is Very Comfortable even on the Hottest Sumer Days with the Modern True Trac AC system which Blows Ice Cold.
To look at the car with the hood shut it appears to be a Stock 66 Chevelle SS except for the 17" wheels. Once you pop the hood the secrets out. The Car Pulls like a Freight Train and the Muncie Trans. w/Hurst Competion Plus Shifter handle all that power perfectly. I've never had this car to the track but I know it's capable of running low 12's maybe better, yet if driven gently your wife could bring the kids home from school.
This car was built with no expense spared, it's all new from top to bottom. It has Power Steering, Fr.& Rear Sway Bars, 12 Bolt posi w/3.55 gears. 4 wheel Disc Brakes, Am Fm Stereo w/rear speakers, Everything in the car works, heat/defrost, speedo/odom., wipers, reverse lights, Clock, everything.
I'm not looking for any trades at this time. Anyone with no feedback history please contact me before bidding.

Ford, Toyota clean up in Best Car For The Money Awards
Fri, 22 Feb 2013The U.S. News Best Cars for the Money Awards picks winners by looking at the average transaction price, five-year total cost of ownership, the regard a car has from the automotive press, reliability figures from J.D. Power and Associates and safety data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. The result, according to the magazine, is "the best combination of critical acclaim and long-term value."
Ford nabbed six of the 21 categories that received awards this year, the Focus, Fusion, Fusion Hybrid, Taurus, Escape and Edge getting trophies. Toyota and its Lexus and Scion sub-brands took another five, the Tacoma and Tundra owning the two categories given to pickup trucks. The other ten awards were split between Honda with three, Buick with two, and one each for Subaru, BMW, Hyundai, Chevrolet and Mazda.

Official USPS Muscle Cars stamps coming to a mailbox near you
Thu, 21 Feb 2013As much as our digital lives have cut down on our trips to the post office, there are still times that sending "snail mail" is necessary. With us car lovers in mind and philately in their hearts, the good folks at the United States Postal Service will introduce a new stamp design called "Muscle Cars" starting on February 22.
Designed by artist Tom Fritz, the new collection of stamps consist of five classic muscle cars: 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona, 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1966 Pontiac GTO and 1970 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda. In addition to just the stamps, the USPS is also commemorating the new series with plenty of collectable memorabilia. Previous car-related stamps include 50s Sporty Cars from 2005 and 50s Fins and Chrome from 2008.
2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray convertible headed for Geneva debut
Mon, 28 Jan 2013While most of the world is still coming down from all the hype surrounding the debut of the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this month, we're already looking to the future. And according to Autoweek, the next chapter in the C7 story will unfold at the Geneva Motor Show in March. That's right, General Motors is reportedly using the Swiss stage as its venue to debut the Corvette Stingray convertible.
If this strikes you as odd, you aren't alone. After all, with a car that's such an American icon, we'd fully expect Chevrolet to unveil it here on our shores in either Chicago or New York. But according to Autoweek, GM is looking to boost export sales of its halo car, and since the C7 was engineered to compete with the world's best and brightest, showing it off in Geneva is somewhat of a smart move. What's more, those with sharp memories will recall that GM used the Geneva expo to debut the sixth-generation C6 Corvette convertible back in March 2004, so there's also a precedent.
Details surrounding the Corvette Stingray convertible are still slim, though we fully expect the 6.2-liter V8 and choice of either six-speed automatic or seven-speed manual transmissions to carry over unchanged. Prototypes spotted on the road showed the car fitted with a cloth convertible roof, as well.
