1967 Chevelle Malibu , 2 Door hardtop.  396 Big Block bored .060 over to a 408.  Turbo 400 trans, 12 bolt posi rear end with 3.55 gears.  Front disc, rear drum power brakes, PS. Black vinyl bucket seats in front, rear benchseat in good to fair condition.

I have owned this car for 15 years, was driven daily for 2 or 3 years.  Since then has been driven occasionally and stored in the garage, always.  Body is straight as an arrow, paint is  16 or 17 years old with chips and 3 areas where the clearcoat is starting to peel. Engine starts right up with help of Edelbrock electric fuel pump.  Has an Edelbrock 750 single pumper carburetor on it now, I have an older Holley 780 double pumper that needs to be rebuilt that will go with the car. This thing is fast and sounds even faster (especially with the 780 Holley on it).  Has a Comp 280H cam in it now, lopey idle and great throttle response.  Engine was built by previous owner out of Santa Maria, CA.  I was told when I purchased it has forged internals.  He had multiple Chevelle's and this was a drag project of his  (fuel cell and battery are located in the trunk).  Honestly I haven't done much to it other that store it, change the oil, batteries etc over the years.  Married with kids now and haven't enough time to devote to the Chevelle.

Things that will need to be done:
Moderate interior work: headliner, dashpad, seat belts, replace door panels and various trim/emblems etc
Suspension : Bushings, ball joints, tie rods old and worn out, front shocks are removed
Electrical :  Wiring harness is old and has many "extra" wires that someone has spliced into or removed items with loose wiring left over. Headlights, dashlights, taillights work.
Brakes: Recently the brake proportioning valve drips occationally, its $39 new.
Misc : All weather stripping needed, doors and trunk rattle when driving. Windshield wiper motor removed.

Message me if you have any other pictures you would like, I can take them and email them to you.

Overall this is a solid car,  I have been very honest about everything, it is drivable however I would strongly recommend that whoever purchases it, trailers it home.
Cash or Cashier's check only.
Shipping to be responsibility of the buyer, I will not ship the car until funds have cleared my bank (up to 7 days).

Final C6 Corvette built in Bowling Green

Fri, 01 Mar 2013

With all of the attention given to the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray lately, you could be forgiven for thinking that it's already well along in production, yet tooling up for the new C7 has only just begun. In fact, production of the outgoing C6 generation in Bowling Green, Kentucky just halted on Thursday.
As the C6 has aged, production numbers have predictably ebbed along with demand, but this year, the addition of the 427 and 60th anniversary models resulted in an uptick in vehicles built - this, despite a model year shortened by around 25 percent to accomodate the new model changeover. The final C6 Corvette ever, No. 13,466 built this year, was a white 427 Convertible destined for the General Motors Heritage Center museum. The car's 7.0-liter V8 heart was assembled by Corvette chief engineer Tadge Juechter himself.
In total, Bowling Green pushed out 215,100 C6 Corvettes over nine years. If you're still a C6 fan at heart and are hoping to get a good deal on a phase-out model, step lively - Chevrolet reportedly had about 6,100 unsold units, which Autoweek suggests is good for around five and a half months of supply at the model's current sales rates. Given that demand will likely slacken even further as the C7 draws closer, that should be a big enough stockpile to keep dealers satisfied until 2014 Stingrays begin showing up on their forecourts in December.

"Turbo" Chevrolet Camaro is a 700-HP fantasy car come to life [w/video]

Thu, 07 Feb 2013

For a concept car built to promote an animated movie about a snail that wants to go racing, this thing ain't half bad. The outsized monster you see before you started life as a Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, and then went through a big-time Hollywood makeover before being positioned on the Chevrolet stand here in Chicago.
This 2013 "Turbo" Camaro Coupe is getting the promotion machine ratcheted up for a new DreamWorks tale by the name of, you guessed it, Turbo. Coming this summer, the movie will follow one snail's quest to become a race driver worthy of making the cut at the Indy 500. Like many DreamWorks vehicles before it, we're guessing that the petrolhead snail will star in a movie that adults (especially racing fans) with have no trouble watching with their kids. Check out the trailer below to see if you agree.
As for the car, we're told that it is "instrumental" in transforming Turbo from snail into racer. Helping the beastly pony car in this mighty task, is an ankle-cracking front splitter matched by a ungodly huge rear wing out back, a COPO hood and a supercharged (yes, supercharged) V8 engine making more than 700 horsepower. 24-inch wheels all the way around - 10-inches wide in front and 15-inches wide in back - should allow the "Turbo" Camaro to hook up with ease, as well.

Hot Wheels' Twitter-enabled vending machine coughs up free Camaro diecasts

Wed, 27 Feb 2013

There are still plenty of companies that haven't gotten the whole social media thing down pat yet, but Hot Wheels isn't one of them. During the recent Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto, Hot Wheels created a lot of buzz for itself by using a vending machine filled with Chevrolet Camaro models, but instead of money to get the cars, show attendees just had to use Twitter.
To get the free car, people were asked to send a tweet to Hot Wheels Canada saying what they liked about the new Hot Wheels Edition Camaro, and including the #ChevyCIAS hashtag. This seemed to be a popular marketing tool, too, as AdWeek reports that the @HotWheelsCanada account more than tripled in followers during the course of the 10-day show. Looking ahead, this could open up even more innovative marketing possibilities using social media.
Check out the video posted below to watch how it works, and while the auto show has ended and the free-car giveaway has too, we're almost certain that some of the 1,500 freebies will make their way onto eBay.
