This is a beautiful example of a own owner (grandmother) 1967 Chevelle Malibu. Bought new 07/21/'67 at Fanning Chevrolet in Gresham, Oregon. It has it's original plates the dealer signed to it on that date delivered, they are pristine. Grandmother worked for the County and rode the bus to and from work as she did not drive at night, hence the low miles. After retiring she relocated to a small Eastern Oregon town called Gilcrest and that is where it remained. After her passing the car remained on the property in storage since the mid 90's Then the car was titled in my and mothers name in '93 to close the estate.  Then last year when is came back over the mountain to Gresham. I am not a classic car guy, yet have emotional ties as this is the car I grew up in. I had planned to keep the car, but she always said "It's just steel painted blue" I have a young family and decided to sell it to benefit them.  After I brought it back it had rained and the cover was removed and stored in the truck (bad idea) as you can see is has discolored the paint and there are several rust spots and a few holes that will need attention. Since then it has been garaged.  It was painted in the early 90's as she hit a lawn mower on the drivers rear.  The top, chrome, door seals, windows and all that is believed to be all original. The motor runs smooth and is a joy to drive. Shifts and runs as it should with no known issues.  All windows are tight and go up and down as they should and has no leaks when washed. There is a 2" hole above the passenger head in the head liner that was caused by a rodent.  The car has been and is driven to get ice cream and is for sale locally.  Sold as it where is. No trades. clean title in my name. Also included is the original keys, a blue set of keys, all registration cards and original temp in my grand mothers name since new. The PROTECT-O-PLATE is in the warranty booklet shown.  Can can be seen and driven at any time locally in the Portland Metro areas. Will help with all shipping needs on my end and without a doubt I would drive this car anyplace today.

The body shows NO sign of any rust along, or under any panel. No signs around top, chrome or trim. it is a truly solid car. Though it was painted a long time ago, it is hard to tell that it was and in no way a poor job. It shows well, most think it to be original, but I remember when it had. If you want any specific pictures to see anyplace. please ask and I will forward to you. Under body is dry and clean, though drive-train shows seeping over the years, it does not leak. Odometer shows just over 23k miles, I can only assume it's rolled over.

Whats new

  • Radiator (steel)
  • Alternator
  • Volt regulator
  • Spare
  • Battery
  • Professionally tuned with plugs, points, cap and rotor.

What does not work and not known why.

  • Clock
  • Factory radio
  • Rear defrost fan
  • Blower fan is always on low
  • Left turn cancel does not work

Interior is excellent condition in my eyes other than the hole in the head liner. Door panels, seats and carpet show minimal wear.

Exterior is in excellent condition, shines and is well shown. There is a small scratch (no idea how) on the front left fender that has been there for years. It should be touched up.

First privately owned Corvette Stingray blitzes 1/4 mile in 12.23 at 114.88 mph

Tue, 01 Oct 2013

Chevrolet's latest road rocket, the Corvette Stingray, is a very quick car. If one needs further proof of that, we recommend they take a look at this video from Hennessey of what is claimed to be the first privately owned C7 Corvette to make a pass down the quarter mile. Not just any quarter mile, mind, this black C7 blitzed its way down the tuner's primary testing dragstrip. The Chevrolet ran the quarter in just 12.23 seconds at 114.88 miles per hour. That is a very quick time for a stock car.
Equipped with the Z51 package and a six-speed automatic transmission, not only does the C7 run a solid time, but it does so with little to no drama. That won't last though, as Hennessey will likely return it to its owner with far more power - we just hope they show a drag run of the completed product. Take a look below to watch the C7's 12.23-second run on video.

Check out the official 2013 Trans Am Hurst Edition commercial

Sat, 16 Mar 2013

The Poncho is dead. Long live the Poncho. Like certain other reoccurring personal maladies, the aftermarket community simply can't let the Trans Am go without another flare up. The guys at Trans Am Depot have worked up a quick commercial for their newest creation: The 2013 Trans Am Hurst Edition, and it watches pretty much like you'd expect it to. The footage is comprised of just about every TA male fantasy you can conceive of, from Daisy Dukes and white tank tops to tramp stamps, bikinis and ice cream cones. There simply aren't words for what you'll see below.
Of course, we like our T-Tops as much as the next guy. If you like what you see in the videos, you can pick up your very own TA by heading over to the Trans Am Depot site. The guys even have Chevrolet Camaro-based versions of the Pontiac GTO if the '77 TA treatment is too much for your tastes. Enjoy, but don't say we didn't warn you.

Final C6 Corvette built in Bowling Green

Fri, 01 Mar 2013

With all of the attention given to the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray lately, you could be forgiven for thinking that it's already well along in production, yet tooling up for the new C7 has only just begun. In fact, production of the outgoing C6 generation in Bowling Green, Kentucky just halted on Thursday.
As the C6 has aged, production numbers have predictably ebbed along with demand, but this year, the addition of the 427 and 60th anniversary models resulted in an uptick in vehicles built - this, despite a model year shortened by around 25 percent to accomodate the new model changeover. The final C6 Corvette ever, No. 13,466 built this year, was a white 427 Convertible destined for the General Motors Heritage Center museum. The car's 7.0-liter V8 heart was assembled by Corvette chief engineer Tadge Juechter himself.
In total, Bowling Green pushed out 215,100 C6 Corvettes over nine years. If you're still a C6 fan at heart and are hoping to get a good deal on a phase-out model, step lively - Chevrolet reportedly had about 6,100 unsold units, which Autoweek suggests is good for around five and a half months of supply at the model's current sales rates. Given that demand will likely slacken even further as the C7 draws closer, that should be a big enough stockpile to keep dealers satisfied until 2014 Stingrays begin showing up on their forecourts in December.
