1967 Chevy Chevelle Pro Touring Frame Off Restored Show Car on 2040-cars
Santa Ana, California, United States
1967 Chevy Chevelle. 5 year frame off nut and bolt restoration. A no expense spared restoration on an original California car. It has a pro built 355 small block engine followed by an Art Carr 700R4 trans with a high stall converter which is backed by a 3.73 geared positraction 12 bolt rearend. The engine has a rumpety idle from the solid lifter cam that is driven by a gear drive. It has headers and an Edelbrock intake. It has factory power disc/drum brakes and is rolling on 18 inch Boss wheels and drag radial tires. The frame and suspension have all been powder coated semi gloss black and all new bushings, ball joints, tie rod ends, idler and pitman arms used. The interior is all new with parts from OPG. The clean California body had both quarters replaced and an SS hood added, then it underwent extensive block sanding to achieve laser straight panels before being coated in silver/black two tone paint and an orange pinstripe hand painted on to seperate the two. All told over 10K was spent on the paint alone. This runs and drives well like a fully restored car should. This car is a no excuse show car that is ready to be showed. Any questions, please ask through ebay. I welcome in person inspections and encourage it.

2014 Chevrolet C7 Corvette wastes no time zooming into Jay Leno's Garage
Thu, 24 Jan 2013Where else would you expect the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray to show up first? Although this time it isn't exactly in Jay Leno's Garage, Leno instead playing an away game at Brown's Classic Auto in Scottsdale, Arizona. Nor does Leno drive the car, instead taking an 11-minute walkaround of the new American sports car with General Motors design head Ed Welburn, the same man who recently brought by a string of classic Corvettes to the talk show host's California compound.
It is, admittedly, a love-fest for the American sports car now featuring 450 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque, but one that also features admissions about previous Corvette seats like "they were kinda rough," and the explanation that labeling the coupe "Stingray" means not having to call it "the base Corvette." On top of that, Welburn also explains the proper application of the term "dashboard." You can watch it all in the video below.
Chevy SS prototype spotted wearing Pontiac G8 clothes
Tue, 28 Aug 2012
Do not adjust your computer screen, you are not seeing the rebirth of the Pontiac brand. General Motors has chosen to use a G8 to disguise a test mule for the latest prototype of the forthcoming Chevrolet SS. The G8 was closely related to the Holden Commodore and Vauxhall VXR, the platform upon which the new Chevrolet performance model will be based. It should come as little surprise, then, that GM has opted to use the cladding from the former G8.
Thought the front clip of this mule is pure Pontiac, note the vents immediately behind the front wheel. That is a distinctive design hallmark of the Vauxhall VXR. Also note that this vehicle is right-hand drive, as the Holden and its Chevy counterpart will be very closely related. That likely includes potential drivetrains. The spy photos of this mule also reveal very wide rear tires, and rear wheels that do not match the fronts.
Man surprises girlfriend with C7 Corvette
Mon, 07 Oct 2013How would you react if someone just showed up at your place of work with a new, 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, complete with all the trimmings? While a lot of us would likely be flipping out over the still rare sports car, it's a fair bet many more of us would be responding like Pattie here, whose boyfriend stopped by her work to show her her new C7.
Speechless and shocked as she seems, she does end up taking it out for a drive, despite claiming she wasn't really outfitted to handle the car's seven-speed manual transmission at the time. From the sound of the video, we got the impression that she knew the car was coming, just not that it was anywhere near ready for delivery. It also, as Pattie says, seems like her boyfriend is more excited about the car than she (which, can we blame him?). Take a look down below for the full video of this C7 Stingray delivery.
