1969 Chevelle Barn Find, One Owner Lived In Oklahoma Its Whole Life. on 2040-cars

US $15,000.00
Year:1969 Mileage:54500
Location:

Chandler, Oklahoma, United States

Chandler, Oklahoma, United States

This Barn Find was owned by the same family since bought new in 1969. The 87 year old woman and her family bought the car in Chandler, Oklahoma new in 1969 at Hart Chevrolet. It spent 99.9% of its time indoors or under cover since new.

She drove it until 2 years ago when she stopped driving the family started it monthly till last year everything working including the air conditioning. The interior is all original it has a 3 inch slit on the back of the drivers seat from a dealer employee cutting it when in for warranty work.

The car isn’t perfect, but not far from it considering everything. It has 54593 original miles and looking at the interior seats dash and original paint I believe it to be true and correct but I have no proof. It has the traditional 2 to 3 inch rust spots at the bottom of both front fenders and 1 to 2 inch spots on the bottom of both rear quarter panels behind the rear wheels. the rest of the car is rust free including trunk and floor pans. It has a rock chip on the front windshield on drivers side. It still has original vinyl top.

I have a copy of the original title (had to give it up in Oklahoma when I put it into my name) along with the original owners manual and protect o plate.  I hauled it from the family’s storage, and put it in my garage where it sits. My intent was to restore and drive but I have came across an original 78 pace car with 24 miles on it and don’t have room for both.

The 307 V8 engine numbers match the vin. It has a few things not original, like tires and battery but overall original enough to call it "all original" and not like the people that restore a car and call it original. This is "THE" original Chevelle.

If you had a new one back in the day and want to feel that again, this is your chance.

I have a clean title for it, and welcome serious buyers to contact me further.

Vehicle is sold AS-IS where is. Buyer is responsible for all shipping concerns. Full payment is due within 7 days of purchase by cash in person or transfer. No returns or refunds. A $1,000.00 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit is due through paypal within 24 hours of auction end.

Will consider a Jeep Wrangler as part trade. You can E-Mail any questions to davesoko@aol.com.

Thanks for looking and have a blessed day.

2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray convertible headed for Geneva debut

Mon, 28 Jan 2013

While most of the world is still coming down from all the hype surrounding the debut of the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this month, we're already looking to the future. And according to Autoweek, the next chapter in the C7 story will unfold at the Geneva Motor Show in March. That's right, General Motors is reportedly using the Swiss stage as its venue to debut the Corvette Stingray convertible.
If this strikes you as odd, you aren't alone. After all, with a car that's such an American icon, we'd fully expect Chevrolet to unveil it here on our shores in either Chicago or New York. But according to Autoweek, GM is looking to boost export sales of its halo car, and since the C7 was engineered to compete with the world's best and brightest, showing it off in Geneva is somewhat of a smart move. What's more, those with sharp memories will recall that GM used the Geneva expo to debut the sixth-generation C6 Corvette convertible back in March 2004, so there's also a precedent.
Details surrounding the Corvette Stingray convertible are still slim, though we fully expect the 6.2-liter V8 and choice of either six-speed automatic or seven-speed manual transmissions to carry over unchanged. Prototypes spotted on the road showed the car fitted with a cloth convertible roof, as well.

Watch this creative way to pull a truck's engine

Fri, 08 Mar 2013

Living in an apartment complex has its benefits, but for shade-tree mechanics who like/need to work on their own cars, it definitely has a number of disadvantages. Relatively simple tasks such as brake jobs and oil changes are difficult when you don't have dedicated driveway space, to say nothing of more in-depth repairs... like pulling an engine, for example.
For these types of challenges, a little ingenuity and plenty of muscle are needed to get the job done. Scroll down to watch these four men snatch the V8 out of a Chevrolet K1500 using nothing but a chain, landscape timber and good ol' fashioned brute strength. Good work, gentlemen.

New Bright creating exclusive 1:8 scale radio-controlled C7 Corvette

Mon, 04 Feb 2013

If you want a new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette but can't quite save up enough pennies for the monthly payment, we have good news for you. Toymaker New Bright has pulled the covers off of its 1:8 scale remote-controlled version of the American sports car. Complete with a very detailed interior and LED headlights, this large-scale R/C is as close as most of us will ever come to having one of the menacing Chevrolet models to call our very own. New Bright still hasn't released pricing or availability, but word has it the coupe should hit the market soon.
Right now, it appears as if the C7 will hit shelves in Torch Red, though we don't know if other colors are planned as well. The good news is that New Bright isn't exactly turning its back on the old C6 - representatives say the company will continue to make its popular C6R racecar for those who prefer round taillights.
