FOR SALE IS A 69 CHEVELLE SS 396 TH400 12 BOLT 3.31 POSI GOOD DRIVER. THE ENGINE IS A 69 396 BUT NOT NUMBERS MATCHING.
THE ENGINE WAS REBUILT AND IT ONLY HAS 2300 OR SO MILES ON IT. THE TRANS IS A TH400 WITH A SHIFT KIT AND SHIFTS GOOD. OVER THE WINTER I PUT A NEW CARPET, NEW EXHAUST,BRAKES, AND TIRES. MY SON AND I WENT ON A 720 MILE ROAD TRIP OVER THE SUMMER TO UPSTATE NY WITHOUT A PROBLEM. I'M DRIVING THE CAR OFTEN SO MILAGE WILL CHANGE. THE ENGINE RUNS VERY STRONG WITH NO SMOKE OR STRANG NOISES, IT HAS 10.5 1 COMPRESSION WITH A MILD CAM. THIS IS NOT A SHOW CAR THE PAINT IS FADED WITH SOME RUST SPOTS ON THE LOWER FENDERS BUT I FIND PEOPLE LIKE THAT ORIGINAL LOOK SO I DIDNT BOTHER PAINTING IT....PLUS I LIKE TO DRIVE THEM ANYWARE AND NOT WORRY ABOUT THE PAINT. FLOORS ARE VERY SOLID WITH NO RUST. THE TRUNK HAD SOME SMALL SPOTS THAT WERE REPAIRED. I BOUGHT THIS CAR OFF MY BROTHER THAT OWNED IT FOR 23 YEARS AND HE NEVER DROVE IT IN BAD WEATHER OR RAIN. PickupTrucks.com's latest test results in a familiar winner [w/video]
Wed, 19 Jun 2013PickupTrucks.com has gone and thrown the latest batch of half-ton pickups into a cage match to see who would come out on top. The site put the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, GMC Sierra 1500, 2013 Ford F-150, Ram 1500, Toyota Tundra and Nissan Titan through a battery of tests. Those included 0-60 miles per hour acceleration, 60-0 mph deceleration, fuel economy, a hill climb, and payload and towing. They even threw the rigs on an autocross course to evaluate overall handling. Each truck was given points based on how it scored in each evaluation.
Who came out on top? Somewhat surprisingly, the 2013 Ford F-150 walked away with the gold, though fewer than 50 points separated first and fourth place. UAW to vote on strike at Kentucky Corvette plant
Tue, 08 Apr 2014The current wait time for a new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is well, not short. With word of a strike at the Bowling Green, KY factory responsible for seventh-generation sports car, though, that wait time could end up growing substantially.
Now, a strike is still a ways off. UAW Local 2164, which represents the 800 workers responsible for screwing the Corvette together, is set to vote on authorizing a strike today, but even if the employees give the action a go, it's far from a sure thing. According to The Tennessean, both regional and national union officials would need to put their stamp of approval on strike action.
"The membership has to vote to strike, but it's just a step in the process," said Gary Casteel, the UAW's Region 8 director and one of the people that would need to authorize a strike action. Casteel told The Tennessean, "It's purely a local situation, though. They are having some issues with the local management."
