This is a 2 door Chevelle hard top that I used for parts, and I don't need it anymore.  There is no transmission, but it had a 307 engine in it that will run. I don't want the engine and you don't have to take it if you don't want it either. The frame is a fantastic  9 out of 10, but the body is a 3 out of 10. At the moment I have a Mississippi salvage title for it.

It is missing the driver side door, I needed it.

No windshield or rear glass

I put in a 67 dash, but the dash that was in it also goes with the car. The previous owner cut it up, etc.

Power steering gearbox. Just a steering column shaft, not a complete column. It does steer very well with this.

The hood is an aftermarket almost new SS style, but was hit on the passenger side, could be repaired- see the pictures.

The trunk lid is almost new. The hardtop and firewall are in great condition.

The door panels are with the car, but they are not in great condition. The upper section of the rear seat, in very good cond.  is there-it didn't come with the lower section. It also didn't come with front seats or a console.

The floor pans were cut out. The pan under rear seat is good. Cross braces need to be replaced. Trunk pan and rear wheel wells need to be replaced. There were no front wheel wells.

It has the original 4 wheel brake drums. The rearend is original 10 bolt non posi 3.08-1 ratio

Most of the wiring under the dash is there with the fuse block.

The 15" chrome Superior and tires can go with the car for more money. Tires have 85% tread left. If not it will have some old wheel and tires to roll it on your trailer. 0

I have more pictures if need more info, just ask.

No shipping for this.

GM recalls select Chevy Cruze, Sonic and Buick Verano models over airbag issue

Wed, 14 Nov 2012

General Motors is recalling certain 2012 Buick Verano, Chevrolet Cruze and Sonic models due to a defect in the driver's airbag system. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the airbag has a shorting bar which may contact two internal terminals. If that happens during a crash, the supplemental restraint may not deploy, increasing the risk of driver injury. The recall includes a total of 2,949 units.
GM will contact owners and replace the steering wheel airbag coil at no cost. At this point, it's unclear when the recall will begin, though owners may contact the automaker at 1-800-521-7300 for more information. You may also take a closer look at the full NHTSA notice below.

GM looks to combat high theft rates on SUVs with added tech

Tue, 24 Dec 2013

The Cadillac Escalade has been at or near the top of most-stolen and insurance-loss lists for more than seven years, until it dropped to number six earlier this year. In 2011 it was fitted with a host of new security features to address its easy-to-override features and that has brought the number of thefts down, but when eight of the ten most stolen rides are large SUVs from General Motors, no one will argue that something else needs to be done.
Thus, GM has fitted this same theft-deterring tech to the 2015 Suburban, Tahoe and Yukon. The Suburban and Tahoe will get the steering lock that the Escalade and Yukon already get, plus bolted-down third-row seats to deter thefts like this, stronger door lock cylinders and shields, and side-cut keys to inhibit picking.
Additional security measures in a Theft Protection Package can be purchased for $395, consisting of sensors on the greenhouse glass and interior, an incline/tilt sensor and added "key control systems" to make it more difficult for the men in black balaclavas to steal what you bought.

Read This: Auto Extremist advocates for Corvette as brand with multiple models [w/poll]

Fri, 25 Jan 2013

The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette really grinds Peter De Lorenzo's gears. Or, more accurately, the self-anointed Auto Extremist has an issue with what he sees as mismanagement of the legendary sports car by General Motors executives. In a new editorial on his website, De Lorenzo argues it's time to split Corvette off from Chevrolet to create an all-new brand, complete with a model range with at least three new takes on the sports car. Capable of fully leveraging the successes of the Corvette Racing program and brandishing the full might of GM's technical prowess, the Corvette brand would theoretically give Porsche something to sweat over.
Sure, that sounds like a party, but given GM's troubled track record when it comes to launching (let alone managing) brands, we say that's slippery slope that could just as easily end with the whole Corvette franchise in the scrap bin. Either way, the notion is certainly an interesting one. Head over to Auto Extremist to take in the full editorial, and then let us know what you think in Comments. Should GM split off its most storied nameplate?
