71 Chevrolet Big Block Short Bed Truck on 2040-cars
Greenbrier, Tennessee, United States
Mileage: 777,777
Make: Chevrolet
Model: Cheyenne
this truck is a total project but is well worth the time and effort in my opinion to restore. it is a original big block ac, ps,pb orange and white truck.the truck was loaded, very rare truck .original engine is gone now has mid 70s 350 that will start and run . I bought this truck from the original owner and he told me back in the 70s he pulled out the big block because gas got to expensive go figure, but it looks like everything else is there.i don't want to mislead anybody on the condition of this truck it is rough but very fixable and well worth the effort, if your into these trucks you know what this truck can bring when done . I personally was just going to buy a donor truck and swap over all the good parts from the donor. still has original glove box build sheet and vin matches tn title ,I also have another 71 short bed that I will throw in for another 500 if interested its real rough but all there I got it with the other and I really don't need either please call for more info 615-513-3795

GM claims it's first to sell million 30+ mpg vehicles
Fri, 04 Jan 2013As we continue to put together all the data for the year-end edition of By The Numbers, General Motors has announced that it sold more than a million vehicles in the US last year that achieved at least 30 miles per gallon on the highway. More impressively, GM managed this feat using multiple strategies including small vehicle size, turbocharged engines and hybrid or plug-in technologies across four brands (Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet and GMC) accounting for 13 separate models. This number will grow even more in 2013 thanks to cars like the all-electric Spark, the diesel Cruze, the range-extended Cadillac ELR and the Buick Encore compact CUV.
GM's small car sales were up 39 percent last year helping to attain this million-sales mark for 30-mpg models, and almost 40 percent of all GM sales consisted of cars with fuel-efficient I4 engines. In regards to more advanced means of improving fuel economy, GM says that it plans on having 500,000 vehicles with "some form of electrification" on the road by 2017.

2014 Chevrolet C7 Corvette wastes no time zooming into Jay Leno's Garage
Thu, 24 Jan 2013Where else would you expect the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray to show up first? Although this time it isn't exactly in Jay Leno's Garage, Leno instead playing an away game at Brown's Classic Auto in Scottsdale, Arizona. Nor does Leno drive the car, instead taking an 11-minute walkaround of the new American sports car with General Motors design head Ed Welburn, the same man who recently brought by a string of classic Corvettes to the talk show host's California compound.
It is, admittedly, a love-fest for the American sports car now featuring 450 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque, but one that also features admissions about previous Corvette seats like "they were kinda rough," and the explanation that labeling the coupe "Stingray" means not having to call it "the base Corvette." On top of that, Welburn also explains the proper application of the term "dashboard." You can watch it all in the video below.
