1966 Chevrolet Corvair Convertible Monza 110 hp 4 speed stick shift. For those that don't already know it is a flat 6 cylinder air cooled engine and is in the back of the car. Odometer reads 15,600 but I'm pretty sure that means it's really 115,600. This car is safe and ready to drive, I will be driving it on any nice day I can until it sells :( I love this car but it doesn't fit well with the family right now.
Engine runs good. The interior is in good condition and the body is in good condition with very little rust. I have done a bunch of work to this car but there is still more to be done. I will list the items that I have replaced and the ones that still need attention. The top needs replacing, it is in one piece so you can put it up but the seams are coming apart, it will not keep the rain out. I have been keeping it in my garage with the top down. The paint is ok but not perfect there are some bubbled up spots and nicks in it. There is some rust in the door jams, a few pin holes in the trunk and floorboards. This is a car that is ready to cruise around on a nice day as is and or fix it up as little or as much as you want. One thing is for sure is that wherever you go in it you will get thumbs up, honking, and lots of questions about this car. It is fun to drive by the way.
Replaced in the past year:
Clutch, flywheel, throw out bearing, pressure plate and related other small parts
Input shaft
Front break pads, wheel cylinders, and springs
Master cylinder upgraded to dual master cylinder
Some rear and front suspension bushings
Petronix ignitor installed in place of points
Flamethrower II ignition coil
clutch cable
convertible top boot
New dash pad
Replaced all UV joints
new plugs and wires
Replaced all dash light bulbs
There is more I just can't think of right off hand
Still needs attention:
Top needs to be replaced.
Engine leaks a little oil but it seems that all Corvair engines do
No heater
Original AM radio installed but not hooked up, I have a retro style radio with mp3 capability you can have with the car
Again, this car is safe (for a car built in 1966) and fun to drive as is and you will look cool in it.
If a buyer is far enough away that the car requires shipping, I am going to leave it up to the responsibility of the buyer to arrange the shipping but I will assist in coordination and loading in any way I can.

2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Convertible is the track car for sun worshippers
Fri, 11 Apr 2014
Supercharged, 6.2-liter V8? Check. Seven-speed manual? Check. Obsession with weight? Check.
What did you expect when Chevrolet said it was bringing a new Corvette variant to the 2014 New York Auto Show? Maybe a sticker and trim package, like the C6 Corvette Grand Sport or a tie-in deal like the Black Widow car from Chicago? On the opposite end, maybe there was an even more hardcore Z06 waiting in the wings. Who knew?
2014 Chevrolet Corvette C7 Convertible offers a few more views before reveal
Mon, 04 Mar 2013Over the weekend, Chevrolet released its first images of the new 2014 Corvette Stingray Convertible. Now, ahead of the droptop's official introduction tomorrow at the Geneva Motor Show, the automaker has given us a few more shots of the softop C7 showing off the car's rump albeit from a high, strategically positioned angle.
From this angle, it's hard to get a sense for how long and flat the decklid really is, but we can easily see that, like the rest of the C7's design, the new convertible's decklid and tonneau cover are far more detailed than the current car. We also get a better look at the rear haunches sans brake vents, which have apparently been moved to underneath the car in order to accommodate the top's hard cover.
As for the overall styling of the C7 convertible, with the top erected, we get some idea of what a coupe design (as opposed to the Stingray's fastback shape) would look like on this car. The C5 Corvette most recently had a coupe model that did away with the large glass hatchback, and we recently reported on a low-cost "coupe" model potentially being added to the C7's repertoire.
GM recalling over 40,000 Chevy, Pontiac and Saturn models over fuel pump woes
Mon, 01 Oct 2012The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a recall for a number of General Motors cars and crossovers bought or currently registered in the hot-climate states of Arkansas, Arizona, California, Nevada, Oklahoma and Texas. As many as 40,859 units consisting of the 2007 Chevrolet Equinox, Pontiac Torrent and Saturn Ion and the 2007-2009 Chevrolet Cobalt (shown) and its Pontiac G5 twin are being recalled for potential fuel leaks.
This recall is being issued due to potentially faulty fuel pump components that can crack and cause gasoline to leak from the return or supply ports and possibly cause a fire. NHTSA has not indicated how many fuel leaks or vehicle fires have been reported. As a fix, GM will replace the fuel pump modules on all affected vehicles free of charge. Since Pontiac and Saturn have been shuttered, owners will be able to go to another GM-brand dealership to have their vehicles repaired.
While the list of affected cars and crossovers varies by state and model year, if you own any of these models and live in Arizona, California, Florida, Nevada, Oklahoma or Texas, be sure to check the official notice below for more details.
