For Sale: 1965 #'s matching Corvette Convertible. The color is MIlano Maroon(burgundy) with white convertible top and black interior.
The engine is a 327 365hp with solid lifters. The Transmission is a manual 4spd. This is a super nice driver car. This is not a Bloomington Gold car, but could be brought up to that standard if someone desired. The underside of the car is clean, but not pristine like a show car. It is NOT rusted thru the frame anywhere. If any, just some minor surface rust. This car has been driven, but not abused. I believe that I'm the third owner of this car. The paint does have some minor nicks/chips, but not many. All in all, it is a great driver car. Probably wouldn't have any trouble winning at local car shows with this car. I'll list the items I have had replaced or repaired. This car is also listed locally and I retain the right to stop or discontinue the auction if it sells before the auction ends. With in this last year I've had: The front and rear main seals replaced Valve cover gaskets replace and valves adjusted Oil pan gasket, front timing cover seal and idler belt replaced Carb was rebuilt Adjusted points and timing Replaced the fuel hose from filter to carb and breather Replaced Starter Fresh oil(w/zinc) and filter Replaced Master cylinder and both rear calipers(mechanic said front calipers looked like new) Fuel pump was replaced The battery was replaced last year as well The tires are like new Not to forget, this is: A NUMBER'S MATCHING CAR!!!!!!!! General Motors shaking up its marketing... again
Wed, 13 Mar 2013One of the things that dogs the full comeback of General Motors is the instability of its marketing. That part of the automaker got yet another big shakeup today when GM confirmed what I have been tweeting for a few days - strong rumors that the Chevrolet and Cadillac ad accounts are walking to new ad agencies.
Cadillac, GM's luxury brand, is going into review from Fallon Worldwide, Minneapolis and the indications are that Campbell-Ewald, Chevy's old ad shop, will end up with most or all of it. C-E just announced that it was moving from its long-time home in Warren, MI to a new downtown Detroit office next to Ford Field, just blocks from GM.
The other shoe to drop shortly will be the shift of GM's most important brand, Chevy, from Goodby, Silverstein & Partners of San Francisco to McCann-Erickson of Troy, MI. McCann used to be the agency for Buick and GMC, as well as GM's corporate advertising, and has retained some pieces of business over the last few years. Sources have even told us that it was McCann that did a lot of the creative work on Chevy's new ad platform, Find New Roads. (Not to be confused with a former McCann tagline for Saab, "Find Your Own Road.")
Chevy Sonic shreds like a skateboard
Tue, 19 Mar 2013Despite the fact that the 2013 Chevy Sonic is a fun, plucky little thing - especially in ever-so-slightly hotter RS guise - it is not, in fact, a skateboard. But don't tell that to rapper Theophilus London.
In General Motors' latest spot for the Chevrolet compact, London needs to make a quick run to the store for some milk. And even though, once again, the Sonic is not a skateboard, it ollies, pops and gets air because, you know, it's just so much fun to throw around.

2014 Chevrolet Malibu gets more torque, more room and inspiration from the Impala
Fri, 31 May 2013The 2014 Chevrolet Malibu, having stared at the Impala across the showroom floor for a year, gets nips and tucks all over inspired by its larger brother. The 2.5-liter four-cylinder in the base car will get a stop-start system and 23 city miles per gallon, 35 highway, each number representing a one-mpg improvement over the 2013 car. Output is 196 horsepower and 186 pound-feet of torque.
Opt for the 2.0-liter turbo and, while power holds steady at 259 hp, torque goes up by 14 percent to a striking 295 lb-ft (a figure Chevy calls best in the class). The final details include newly programmed transmission shift points and faster shifts, for better engaging and enjoying the added power.
Looks-wise, the grille's been reshaped to be more in line with the new Chevrolet look, a narrower upper grille hovering over a larger lower grille.
