For sale is a 1984 Chevrolet Corvette. This vehicle only had 11,000 miles on it when it was involved in an accident.  The damage was mainly centered on the the top of the car. My uncle purchased the car in1985 to salvage it as a project over the course of the next 27 years he slowly fixed all framework purchased new windshield, hood, drivers door, wheel wells and many other misc. items even though the car was able run and  drive he only drove it to move it around.  fast forward to 2011 and my uncle no longer wanted the project he then sold it to me.  I proceeded to finish the  I glassed any existing cracks blocked out the car and had it professionally painted along with the many new parts my uncle had purchased I also bought a brand new glass top now it has both the solid and the glass. I bought new rear bumper and trim (all the way around) new N.O.S. power antenna new mirrors all new emblems and all new rubber and plastic trim.  This car has the original Gator back tires with the engine has never been touched with the exception of the new fuel pump and filters ,rebuilt TBIs on the crossram and cleaned out gas tank, this Corvette runs and drives like car with only 12,000 miles on it ! Because of the car being in a accident down in Texas in 1985 it does come with a Minnesota prior salvage title. This car is turn key and ready to drive, There is a slight leak from what maybe a front tranny seal. Please feel free to email me with any questions you may have. I have over 12000.00 invested in this car and you can own it for under 10 grand.

2014 Chevrolet SS makes its live debut

Sat, 16 Feb 2013

Chevrolet showed off the new 2014 SS in an airport hangar last night, its first rear-wheel-drive performance sedan in the US since the Impala SS from 1997. We'll have more to say about the SS later today, but this is the sedan that Chevrolet sees as the final piece in restoring its performance credentials. For those of you looking for a manual transmission, however, that wish will go unfulfilled - at least for now: the only two options buyers will have are the color and whether or not they want a sunroof.
We'll work on getting some more angles (in better light) today at Daytona International Speedway, but with fans seeing the car for the first time, we don't hold out much luck of getting a clear shot. So for now, enjoy the high-res gallery above.

Chevy SS prototype spotted wearing Pontiac G8 clothes

Tue, 28 Aug 2012

Do not adjust your computer screen, you are not seeing the rebirth of the Pontiac brand. General Motors has chosen to use a G8 to disguise a test mule for the latest prototype of the forthcoming Chevrolet SS. The G8 was closely related to the Holden Commodore and Vauxhall VXR, the platform upon which the new Chevrolet performance model will be based. It should come as little surprise, then, that GM has opted to use the cladding from the former G8.
Thought the front clip of this mule is pure Pontiac, note the vents immediately behind the front wheel. That is a distinctive design hallmark of the Vauxhall VXR. Also note that this vehicle is right-hand drive, as the Holden and its Chevy counterpart will be very closely related. That likely includes potential drivetrains. The spy photos of this mule also reveal very wide rear tires, and rear wheels that do not match the fronts.

GM takes heat for aborted Silverado riff on 'Boston Strong' at World Series

Thu, 31 Oct 2013

During game five of the World Series, Chevrolet was set to do a spot of marketing for the 2014 Silverado - fans at Busch Stadium in St. Louis would hold up placards that spelled out the words "Silverado Strong," a theme that Chevy has been promoting since the Silverado's launch with the song "Strong," by Will Hoge. The St. Louis promo was ultimately called off, though, over concerns that it'd be insensitive to the visiting Boston Red Sox. (You can see the image of what the stunt would have looked like above, courtesy of one timely Reddit user.)
Now, the Busch Stadium stunt might not have been a big deal, had the St. Louis Cardinals not been playing the Boston Red Sox. Following the tragic events in Boston during the marathon back in April, the phrase "Boston Strong" gained traction among the city's citizens, especially at sporting events. So, you can imagine that Chevy's appropriation of the phrase might not sit well with some fans.
The stunt was ultimately shelved after images of the signs went viral before the game, leading to a bit of a public backlash. Chevy spokesperson Michael Albano said of the promo that it was meant to show the brand's "commitment to baseball and its fans." But after the images went viral, the company "realized there was the possibility that we may offend some of the very fans we were trying to honor," Albano told Automotive News via email.
