1991 Red ZR1 26,420 miles

This car was originally purchased in Miami by Jimmy Johnson

It was then taken to A/O Engineering (at the time one of the top

aftermarket performance suppliers for Corvettes) and had their

full line of performance parts installed including Forced Air Induction,

and extensive head work.

After that it was sent to Morrison Motorsports in Georgia

Home of Tommy Morrison - the No.1 Corvette Racer of the 1990's

(he set many records for Corvettes and especially

the ZR! - many of which still stand)

There, the rest of the performance work was done..

It was built to be a car that was very fast - but would also have

the reliability of a stock ZR1.

I purchased the car in the summer of 1995.

The interior is in near perfect condition and the exterior

only has one small - dime size - ding where it was bumped by another car while parked (see photo)

It has been updated with the 1995 ZR1 wheels.

Comes with both solid and glass tops.

Total investment in this ZR1 is close to 100K.

Health issues are requiring me to let go of the car.

GM 6.2L V8 claims most powerful light-duty truck engine title

General Motors has officially captured the horsepower crown for mainstream pickup trucks with its 6.2-liter V8. The big mill, available in both the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra, comes to market with 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, handily outdoing its two cross-town competitors, Ram (5.7-liter V8, 395 ponies and 407 lb-ft) and Ford (6.2-liter V8, 411 hp and 434 lb-ft).
The new GM 6.2 will take a bit of an investment, though. Those that want the extra thrust will need to go with either the LTZ or High Country trims from the Chevy, or the SLT and Denali trims from GMC, which are the two highest trim levels for the respective vehicles. Trim levels aside, if you're in the business of towing, GM has you covered. Optioned with the 6.2-liter V8 and the Max Trailering Package, owners will be able to pull 12,000 pounds, a hugely impressive figure.
We still aren't certain as to what sort of economy the new engine will get, but it'll probably be a bad bet for the fuel conscious. As for availability, expect to see the 6.2-liter trucks in showrooms later in the fall.

General Motors has released a new short video featuring Kirk Bennion of the Corvette's exterior design team, talking about the challenges of sculpting Chevrolet's new flagship sports car and the five goals the team had to keep in mind as it worked. In the end, Bennion's team had the pleasure of seeing their hard work take center stage as the Corvette captured the world's eyes at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this year.
