If you require a transport quote, I have a contact who is in the industry. The car deserves to be put on a truck and trailored to its next home. The pictures tell most of the story. :)

I reserve the right to end the listing early for any reason, as it is also being listed on other resources. It is priced well to sell at my price point, if you can find one in this shape with these miles. Feel free to contact me directly at: 305-302-4617 with any questions. Kindly make sure you have your finances in order. I welcome all serious inquiries.  * There are high trees in the background so some of the pics may show shadows. There is no damage or discoloration at all.

1996 Corvette Collector Edition Coupe w/ both roof panels - 39000 miles - 1 of only 746 built w/ rare Z51 suspension pkg. ( Bilstein shocks, special front and rear springs, stabilizers and bushings ).   It has been meticulously cared for, always garaged, never raced, and maintained impeccably. It has never been in accident, painted, mechanically modified in any way, or driven in bad weather. IT HAS EVERYTHING - SPORT SEATS, G92 PERF. AXLE, UJ6 LOW TIRE PRESSURE, BOSE CD, AND CLIM. CONTROL A/C. I have all of the books, manuals, and window sticker. For those Corvette enthusiasts, it is definitely a must have. Take it to shows, and you will be heavily complimented.

The Silver paint shows as new, and has no damage. The moldings, handles, roof panels, window glass, lettering, emblems, rubber seals, and all other exterior features are in exceptional condition. The wheels are damage free and the Michelin tires have excellent tread at 75%. It has never been run through an automatic car wash and always hand washed. Keep it in the garage / waxed, and it will always look new. The exterior is a strong 9.75 / 10.

On the inside, the Black interior shows no real wear.  As you can see in the pics, the seats have always been covered, and the floor mats have mats over the mats. I also have a set of Collector mats for the floor and rear cargo. The door panels, carpeting, dash, center console, faceplates, etc. are unmarked. All of the interior buttons / switches ( power windows, door locks, antenna, cruise, and 6 way power sport seats ) work without issue. All of the dash cluster gauges are lit and function. The Bose stereo system plays perfect. I also have a custom car cover. The undercarriage is dry, spotless, and without damage. Inside, it is a 9.8 / 10.

Mechanically, it starts, idles, and drives smoothly as a "well-oiled" machine should. All of the servicing is up to date - super cold a/c, belts, hoses, synthetic fluids all changed / maintained at the proper intervals, The engine compartment is extra clean / dry, and it performs without hesitation. Of course, the LT1 - 300 hp engine has great pick-up, and with the Z51 / G92 set up you will notice a difference from the standard coupe.

A great limited vehicle to buy if you are in the Vette market.

Everyone seems to be interested in the "best price." I have researched the car, and it is by far the fairest priced one with these miles, options, not to mention the condition, etc.

If someone wants it any cheaper, I am willing to sell with only 1 roof panel.

Read This: Auto Extremist advocates for Corvette as brand with multiple models [w/poll]

Fri, 25 Jan 2013

The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette really grinds Peter De Lorenzo's gears. Or, more accurately, the self-anointed Auto Extremist has an issue with what he sees as mismanagement of the legendary sports car by General Motors executives. In a new editorial on his website, De Lorenzo argues it's time to split Corvette off from Chevrolet to create an all-new brand, complete with a model range with at least three new takes on the sports car. Capable of fully leveraging the successes of the Corvette Racing program and brandishing the full might of GM's technical prowess, the Corvette brand would theoretically give Porsche something to sweat over.
Sure, that sounds like a party, but given GM's troubled track record when it comes to launching (let alone managing) brands, we say that's slippery slope that could just as easily end with the whole Corvette franchise in the scrap bin. Either way, the notion is certainly an interesting one. Head over to Auto Extremist to take in the full editorial, and then let us know what you think in Comments. Should GM split off its most storied nameplate?

Steve McQueen's last movie car, now Pawn Stars-owned, up for auction [w/video]

Sun, 03 Feb 2013

The last car Steve McQueen ever drove in a movie is officially up for auction. The 1951 Chevrolet Styline DeLuxe Convertible you see above is now owned by none other than Rick Harrison of Pawn Stars fame, but once ferried McQueen around the set of his last film, 1980's The Hunter. That flick saw the Bullit star play a bumbling bounty hunter and didn't exactly set the box office on fire. McQueen bought the car after production wrapped, and four years later it sold at his estate sale at the Imperial Palace in Las Vegas.
Flash forward to 2003, and the convertible received a full restoration back to near-stock specifications. Hagerty Insurance estimates the car to be worth around $45,000 without the significant providence. Given its ties to one of film's most popular gearheads, the old Chevrolet could fetch up to 10 times that when it goes under the gavel in Ft Luaderdale, Florida on March 22. You can head over to the Auctions America site for more information. You can also check out the trailer for The Hunter below.

Corvette Stingray Shooting Brake under consideration by Callaway [w/poll]

Mon, 18 Mar 2013

Callaway has released a few renderings of a design study for a shooting brake version of the C7 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. The company says it wants to create a long-roof version of America's sports car to offer buyers more interior room and a vehicle with "unique style." The company says it will use structural carbon fiber for the new body bits, which suggests the conversion shouldn't add too much more weight to the Corvette. Along with a few mechanical tweaks, the Callaway Corvette Stingray AeroWagon could breeze past the 200 miles per hour barrier.
Provided that they get enough interest, Callaway estimates they will be able to effect the changes on the Chevrolet for around $15,000, and says the conversion work should be available through its network of dealers. You can check out the brief press release below for more information, or head over to the Callaway site to plunk down a deposit - but before you do, we want to know... do you find this C7 wagon interesting?
