I have had service done by the local Chevy Dealer every 3500 miles ( I know 5000 is norm with Mobile1) and car is still under warranty. Stored in heated garage and driven on non- weather days here in Idaho, when possible,but we take her on vacations so she has seen rain. Again this is a great vehicle for driving and that is what she likes to do, run down the road. No car better for fun travel on good roads. No problems with anything in the car. Just had new batteries put in key FOB since it is 3 years old. Will need tires in next 10,000 miles, since these are the original Goodyear Eagles that came on her. I have treated her as good as possible as we do on all our cars. Might check out my 1972 Chevy Blazer Blue 4X4 I listed last week as well to see my passion for original condition cars, no after market add-ons. LT1 base model seems to work great for my wife and I, with GPS on cell phone and Sirus radio why pour thousands in add-ons from dealer? Interior and exterior are well above average for mileage with just myself and my wife as only drivers. You won't be disappointed with the overall condition, and at the end of the day I can trade her in, but as you buyers know the dealer will dock $3000 or more, off my value for trade so I might as well sell for cash and work a new deal to fly out and pickup a new 2014 this fall when temperature is cooler and leaves are changing color. GM dealers unhappy about pickup prices

The backlash is beginning. Following General Motors' price hike of the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra last week, dealers across the country are expressing their ire over increasing prices in the face of rebates and discounts on trucks from Ford and Ram.
Speaking to Automotive News, Sam Pilato, the general manager at Dimmitt Chevrolet in Clearwater, FL, Silverados are "selling very poorly." W. Carrol Smith, the president of Monument Chevrolet in the heart of truck country, Texas, said, "[GM's] position is that the vehicle stands on its own and it doesn't need a bigger rebate. That's not what the market is telling us."
According to AN, that's the general attitude amongst Chevy and GMC dealers across the country, where the twin pickups are getting butchered in sales by competitors offering up to $9,000 off their sticker prices. Part of the problem for GM is that its trucks are arriving on the market near the end of the current F-150's lifecycle, a fact that Ford has taken advantage of.

First privately owned Corvette Stingray blitzes 1/4 mile in 12.23 at 114.88 mph

Chevrolet's latest road rocket, the Corvette Stingray, is a very quick car. If one needs further proof of that, we recommend they take a look at this video from Hennessey of what is claimed to be the first privately owned C7 Corvette to make a pass down the quarter mile. Not just any quarter mile, mind, this black C7 blitzed its way down the tuner's primary testing dragstrip. The Chevrolet ran the quarter in just 12.23 seconds at 114.88 miles per hour. That is a very quick time for a stock car.
Equipped with the Z51 package and a six-speed automatic transmission, not only does the C7 run a solid time, but it does so with little to no drama. That won't last though, as Hennessey will likely return it to its owner with far more power - we just hope they show a drag run of the completed product. How would you react if someone just showed up at your place of work with a new, 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, complete with all the trimmings? While a lot of us would likely be flipping out over the still rare sports car, it's a fair bet many more of us would be responding like Pattie here, whose boyfriend stopped by her work to show her her new C7.
Speechless and shocked as she seems, she does end up taking it out for a drive, despite claiming she wasn't really outfitted to handle the car's seven-speed manual transmission at the time. From the sound of the video, we got the impression that she knew the car was coming, just not that it was anywhere near ready for delivery.
