2011 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 on 2040-cars
Rancho Cucamonga, California, United States
If you have more questions or want more details please email : roycelashway@juno.com . This is an awesome Z06 with rare options. Outstanding shape with excellent improvements to make it reliable. This car has never seen the rain and is a no accident, no hit vehicle. At around 8,000 miles the heads were replaced for peace of mind with new production and certified GM LS7 Cylinder heads by a well known Chevrolet certified service center that specializes in west coast corvettes. In addition, these Z06 cars have been known to have weak clutch slave cylinders, so it was decided that a full Katech clutch hydraulic system was in order for better pedal feel with heavy duty reliability to match the rest of the car.
For peace of mind on your outings, this Z06 was outfitted with 3m clear braw film protection as well as 3m fender guards.
One great thing about the 2011's were the factory exhaust revisions, possibly one of the best exhaust tones of any factory corvette I've heard, ultra responsive with a menacing crackle when the baffles open due to the strait through sections.
Ultimate Carbon Package (roof rockers and skirts)
Z07 package (ZR1 wheels, mrc suspension, carbon ceramic brakes)
9,500 Miles
Factory drive-train warranty
3LZ trim
Gm Certified replacement LS7 cylinder heads

Race Recap: 2013 Twelve Hours of Sebring, cakewalk up front, grindfest out back [w/spoilers]
Tue, 19 Mar 2013This year's 12 Hours of Sebring wasn't exactly a foregone conclusion because we're still talking about racing, and anything can happen when the speeds are as high as the adrenaline and the desire. But we're still talking about Audi bringing it's two top-spec racers - and its huge budget and its nearly neurotic attention to detail - to a race that it uses as a test bed for The 24 Hours of Le Mans and as a way to open the endurance racing season with a victory.
Besides, 12 hours is a long time, especially at Sebring, and things didn't go all Audi's way. On top of that, although it was a pretty quiet race, behind the Audis things got even grimier, with plenty of battles, plenty of mechanical issues, and the new BMW Z4 GTE and Viper GTS-R being race tested. Oh, and that brand new chromed-out DeltaWing...
GM recalling nearly 4,000 vehicles over airbag concerns
Thu, 31 Jan 2013Four different General Motors vehicles from the 2012 model year are being recalled over a potential airbag issue. The driver's side airbag shorting bar in the 2012 Buick Verano and 2012 Chevrolet Camaro, Cruze and Sonic might make contact with the airbag terminals, even during a crash. If so, the airbag won't deploy when it should, possibly increasing injury to the driver.
The recall is expected to begin on February 13 for the 3,896 units that might be affected. GM will notify owners who can then take their vehicles to dealers to have the airbag coil replaced. A bulletin from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration below has more info.
GM warning 800,000 owners that their cars may need oil changes more frequently than they say
Fri, 05 Apr 2013The days of changing your engine oil every 3,000 miles are long gone thanks to most cars having automatic oil monitoring systems, but about 800,000 General Motors vehicles apparently have incorrect monitoring software that is leading to premature engine component wear. According to Autoweek, certain 2010-2012 Buick LaCrosse, Regal, Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Terrain models equipped with 2.4-liter four-cylinder engines could be going too long in between oil changes resulting in a higher-than-normal number of warranty claims for the engine's balance chain. The balance chain links the balance shaft to the crankshaft, and a worn one can produce higher noise levels.
As a fix, GM dealers will be reprogramming the software for the monitors in an effort to reduce the interval between oil changes, which varies based on driving habits and conditions. Through February 2015, the software update will be done at no cost to vehicle owners, but since this is not a recall, after that point, it will be up to the discretion of dealers as to whether or not they will charge for the service. What isn't immediately clear is whether GM plans on giving assistance to out-of-warranty customers who are experiencing engine issues from the worn chain.
