This particular 2012 Vette is an extra-special Centennial Edition that celebrates Chevrolet's 100th birthday,
making it a collector's piece as well. With only 1450 miles it’s perfect.
Only 195 Z06s were built in this color. The Z06 enjoys wider wheel flares that give it a low, menacing stance as
well as a custom front fascia with a special air intake between the headlights. The effect is subtle, but nobody
will mistake a Z06 for a garden-variety Corvette. Add in the carbon-fiber ''100'' logos on the b-pillars and wheels
that came with the Centennial Edition, and everyone knows this is a special C6.

For all its race-inspired functionality, the Z06 is designed to be a daily-drivable high-performance vehicle. To
that end, comfort and convenience are held to a very high standard. HID headlights, fog lamps, leather seating,
dual-zone air conditioning, cabin air filtration and a heads-up display (HUD) with track mode and g-meter are
standard. The Z06 gauge cluster displays the Z06 logo on the 7000 RPM redline tachometer and has readout on the oil
pressure gauge to reflect the higher pressure of the dry-sump oiling system. The seats feature exquisite leather
surfaces with microfiber suede inserts and red stitching, a beautiful dash with same red stitching, and a plush
suede-wrapped steering wheel with that familiar ''100'' center badge that comes with this package. The options list
is plentiful, pretty much everything GM had available in 2012 for their production cars is in this Corvette. As
with the exterior, the interior of the car is in superb shape..

Refreshed 2014 Camaro confirmed for New York debut

Thu, 07 Mar 2013

We've already seen leaked specs and potential spy shots, but the refreshed 2014 Chevrolet Camaro will make its official debut at the New York Auto Show in a few weeks.
Besides a tweaked exterior and the possibility of a high-output LS7 under the hood, we really don't know much else about the 2014 Camaro, but here's hoping for an improved interior, too.
In addition to the refreshed Camaro, Chevrolet will also be showing off the recently introduced Chevrolet SS, making its debut on the auto show circuit, and we'll also get our first look at the C7 Corvette coupe and convertible side-by-side.

Chevy monitors drivers' biometrics while experiencing new Corvette Stingray

Fri, 25 Oct 2013

We tell you about what a car is like to drive every day, remarking on throttle response, steering weight and feedback, squat, dive, brake fade and a dozen or more other factors of performance. What we can't tell you, though, is what the car does to us - how its performance impacts us, physically. That's what makes this video series from Chevrolet so darn cool.
The Bow-Tie brand rented out Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch, got several (very) different individuals together, strapped a bunch of sensors to their bodies to record biometric data ranging from heart rate to respiration to brain activity, and then handed them keys to the new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. The results are explained in a series of videos, devoted to each driver, showing how different people react to the Corvette's performance.
If, like your author, you're a nerd for medical science, this is going to be a fascinating set of videos. If not, it's still pretty cool to see how the body of someone with racing experience, like Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi, reacts to tracking a car like the Corvette Stingray compared to the owner of legendary Detroit barbecue joint, Slows BBQ. Take a look below for all six videos from the series, or hop over to the Corvette Vimeo channel for the interactive experience, where you can see all the different metrics.

Man surprises girlfriend with C7 Corvette

Mon, 07 Oct 2013

How would you react if someone just showed up at your place of work with a new, 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, complete with all the trimmings? While a lot of us would likely be flipping out over the still rare sports car, it's a fair bet many more of us would be responding like Pattie here, whose boyfriend stopped by her work to show her her new C7.
Speechless and shocked as she seems, she does end up taking it out for a drive, despite claiming she wasn't really outfitted to handle the car's seven-speed manual transmission at the time. From the sound of the video, we got the impression that she knew the car was coming, just not that it was anywhere near ready for delivery. It also, as Pattie says, seems like her boyfriend is more excited about the car than she (which, can we blame him?). Take a look down below for the full video of this C7 Stingray delivery.
