Here is a drop dead gorgeous, fully restored pro-touring 1968 Chevrolet El Camino SS396 in like new condition inside and out. This awesome '68 El Camino is truly as nice as they come and performs as good as it looks. It is a show winner that was completely restored. It is one of the baddest El Caminos I've ever seen. It is powered by a fully built 454ci engine with Edelbrock aluminum RPM heads and intake mated to a turbo 400 automatic transmission and is extremely fast!!! This is a totally rust-free real SS396 that spent its whole life in California, one of the best places for a El Camino to come from. There were tens of thousands invested in building this awesome El Camino. It has a drop dead gorgeous Jet Black paint job with that looks absolutely amazing that was finished in base coat, clear coat. It was hand rubbed to a smooth as glass finish. The body is straight as an arrow, solid as a rock and totally rust free. It also has all new rubbers throughout the car. Absolutely everything on this car is brand new or restored as you can see from the pictures. The bed is very straight and looks like nothing has ever been in it. The is a rubber mat that goes in the bed that protects the bed. It is sitting on a set of 20" custom built 3-piece chrome wheels with brand new tires. This El Camino literally stops traffic with the amount of attention it receives! The saddle interior is all new and looks amazing. The dash and gauge cluster has all been restored to look like new. Everything works great in the car including all the gauges and lights. It has an amazing sounding, CD audio sound system. Mechanically, this '68 El Camino is in perfect condition and is basically all brand new. It runs like an awesome with its fully built 454ci engine bored .060 over. The motor is equipped with aluminum intake & heads, headers and custom exhaust system. Under the hood is detailed to show quality and looks amazing. These cars are headed to the Great Crusher In The Sky
Fri, 24 Aug 2012It happens every year. We bid adieu to some cars and trucks that will be missed, and say good riddance to others wondering how they stayed around so long. Whether they're being killed off for slow sales or due to a new product coming along to replace them, the list of vehicles being discontinued after 2012 is surprisingly long and diverse.
CNN Money has compiled a list of departing vehicles, to which we've added a few more of our own. In the slow sales column, cars like the Lexus HS 250h, Mercedes-Benz R-Class and the full Maybach lineup appear, while the Ford Escape Hybrid, Mazda CX-7 and Hyundai Veracruz are all having their gaps filled with more modern and more fuel-efficient alternatives. Obvious exceptions to the rule include models that still sell in decent numbers like the Jeep Liberty and the Chrysler Town & Country (which will eventually be replaced by a crossover-like vehicle).

Next-gen GM SUVs caught wearing new boxy bodies [w/video]
Wed, 15 May 2013We recently drove the brand-new 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and found it to be vastly improved compared to the outgoing model. And now that The General's pickup trucks have been squared away, it's time to focus our attention onto their passenger-friendly companions, the Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon (above).
Our spy photographers have passed along a huge smattering of photos (and a video), showing the new SUVs out testing. Both the short- and long-wheelbase models were spied, and while the overall shape of the vehicles hasn't changed all that much, we expect the updates to be substantial. In addition to new powertrain options, like GM's new small-block V8, we expect the interiors of both SUVs to get massive makeovers, providing better materials throughout their cabins and quieter, more refined environments. We even hear that some trick new suspension developments may be in store for upper-end models.
Visually, these spy shots allow us to see a couple of new details on the SUVs' front and rear fascias, including LED running lamps on the Yukon and some interesting LED taillamp treatments. Of course, the obvious third party missing from this set of photos is the Cadillac Escalade, but as we reported earlier, GM is working to further differentiate the 'Slade from the rest of the fullsize SUV lineup, and is working to make the new model "much less ostentatious."
GM recalls select Chevy Cruze, Sonic and Buick Verano models over airbag issue
Wed, 14 Nov 2012General Motors is recalling certain 2012 Buick Verano, Chevrolet Cruze and Sonic models due to a defect in the driver's airbag system. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the airbag has a shorting bar which may contact two internal terminals. If that happens during a crash, the supplemental restraint may not deploy, increasing the risk of driver injury. The recall includes a total of 2,949 units.
GM will contact owners and replace the steering wheel airbag coil at no cost. At this point, it's unclear when the recall will begin, though owners may contact the automaker at 1-800-521-7300 for more information. You may also take a closer look at the full NHTSA notice below.
