This auction is for an 1977 El Camino classic with a fresh rebuilt 355 chevy engine that's very strong, new forgued pistons, .519 .523 camshaft, new .10 .10 crankshaft with double hump heads 200cc 3/8 studs and aluminum roller rockers. This car also comes with a recent rebuilt 350 turbo trans. with shift kit installed. I basically restore the heart and drivetrain of this car it is street legal i drive this car when im feeling good or feel like riding smooth. New 8.5 posi differential but i left the stock ring and pinion gear attached so it has a posi unit with the original 2.41 gear. New mid length headers with freshly installed true dual exhaust they are turn downs. New super coil, electric fan and gauges to go along with this fresh rebuilt street monster. This car is not an race car it runs 93 pump gas and i also currently have it registered in my name with insurance. So plz serious buyers only. This is a great classic car that i ran out of time to finish. Its not a show car, it will need floor pans and new carpet installed probably in the next 5 yrs or so and it also have a very small fender bender on passenger front bumper barely even noticeable. I have spent over 7,500 at the machine shop,on jegs, summit and even ebay just to get this car running like she is know. I have clean Florida tittle in hand i'm just asking 7,000 like they say my loss your gain. I will repeat this, (THIS IS NOT A RACE CAR) CAR IS STREET LEGAL AN EVERYDAY DRIVER BUT THIS IS NOT AN TOY FOR AN TEENAGER!!!!!!

Corvette Stingray designer lists five goals of new exterior shape
Fri, 12 Apr 2013Redesigning an icon is a difficult task, especially when you've got a blank sheet of paper in front of you and the all-new C7 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is intended to be your final objective.
General Motors has released a new short video featuring Kirk Bennion of the Corvette's exterior design team, talking about the challenges of sculpting Chevrolet's new flagship sports car and the five goals the team had to keep in mind as it worked. In the end, Bennion's team had the pleasure of seeing their hard work take center stage as the Corvette captured the world's eyes at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this year.
Watch NASCAR racer Jeff Gordon put one over on a used car dealer... sorta
Wed, 13 Mar 2013Full Disclosure: in my younger days, I loved nothing more than tormenting passengers with my behind-the-wheel hijinks. Once, after a particularly artful handbrake turn on a two-lane at around 50 miles per hour, I left one backseat occupant crying in their own lap. This isn't necessarily something to be proud of, but it gives you a glimpse into why it is that I find this ad from Pepsi so damn disappointing. The premise is beautiful. Take NASCAR legend Jeff Gordon, give him a disguise and set him loose upon some unsuspecting used car dealer. Hilarity ensues.
Except that this Pepsi Max commercial is so obviously staged, it can't help but feel like some ham-fisted marketing fail. From the strategically placed aftermarket cupholder mounted mid-dash for the hidden camera to the fact that the supposed dealer Camaro is displayed as a 2009 model (Hint: Chevrolet didn't make any), this clip is about as organic as a Twinkie. Still, we would never turn down a chance to watch Gordon thrash on a rental-spec coupe - only problem is, he probably didn't even do the driving himself. Check it out below.
2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible is a Swiss hit
Mon, 04 Mar 2013We've just received an early peek at the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible here at the Geneva Motor Show. General Motors was kind enough to let us attend the final dress-rehearsal for its press conference scheduled for tomorrow's opening media day, and we've come away with a good look at the droptop C7 in person.
In the metal, the new Corvette Convertible seems somehow less avant-garde than the Coupe, even in Z51 Performance Package guise. That's not necessarily a bad thing - more of an observation. That initial impression may be because the C7's new greenhouse is one of its most prominent departures from Corvettes past. While we didn't get to see the top erected, there's no rear side window in the stock images that Chevy has already released, suggesting the C7 convertible's profile will look a lot like its C6 predecessor. And with the new power tonneau cover in place, there are also no rear ducts that come as part of the Z51 package (they've been moved under the car).
As with its predecessor, the tonneau is a handsome double-bubble piece, and the body-color "waterfall" element into the cabin between the seats has made it to the new model as well. Thus, the overall look with the top down should be a bit more familiar to prior-gen C6 owners - if you're one of those put off by the C7's new shape, you'll probably appreciate the convertible bodystyle more than the coupe.
