This is a 1978 El Camino V8.  This vehicle was donated to help animal welfare as we are a 501c3 Non-Profit Organization. This car has current tags and is good until October 2013. We also have the California required smog cert for CA transfer....Car also has 4 new tires. Car is a great driver and only needs some body attention. It was a show car back 10 years or more...but now needs 3 little rust spots repaired but with the custom paint job such as this....you could just repaint the upper roof and seam line at the bed...a solid color or the 4-way changing color paint. See photos and you will see what involved. This paint back in the 1990's was $4,000 per gallon and would take a gallon and a half to paint this car. Hence the total paint job was worth $8,500 when done.  The interior is in good shape.

We are See Noahs Ark whose task is to help other non-profit's liquidate donated assets. Being a donated vehicle, we dont know much about this car, but it does have a passing smog certificate. This vehicle is sold as is. This vehicle's net dollars will be shared with the Ventura County Humane Society (a no kill shelter).

Winning bidder will be required to make contact with us within 24 hours to make payment and shipping arrangements. (Buyer responsible for shipping or pickup arrangements)

Chevy gets cracking on Cruze EV fleet testing

Tue, 21 Sep 2010

Chevrolet Cruze EV - Click above for high-res image gallery
The Chevrolet Volt hasn't yet gone on sale, but General Motors is looking at ways of expanding its electric vehicle lineup. Chevy, along with partner LG, is employing a group of all-electric cars in the form of the Cruze. The sedans are part of a demonstration fleet which is located in Seoul, South Korea and is being used to provide data in an electric vehicle research project. The goal is to gather information on driving patterns and charging behavior in addition to consumer acceptance.
The Cruze EVs, along with some Daewoo Lacetti Premieres EVs, are the first fleet of full-size electric vehicles and should provide invaluable information for The General. Staying full-size means not sacrificing cargo space, so the battery pack is mounted to the underbody, leaving the trunk area open for plenty recyclable, canvas grocery bags.

Man surprises girlfriend with C7 Corvette

Mon, 07 Oct 2013

How would you react if someone just showed up at your place of work with a new, 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, complete with all the trimmings? While a lot of us would likely be flipping out over the still rare sports car, it's a fair bet many more of us would be responding like Pattie here, whose boyfriend stopped by her work to show her her new C7.
Speechless and shocked as she seems, she does end up taking it out for a drive, despite claiming she wasn't really outfitted to handle the car's seven-speed manual transmission at the time. From the sound of the video, we got the impression that she knew the car was coming, just not that it was anywhere near ready for delivery. It also, as Pattie says, seems like her boyfriend is more excited about the car than she (which, can we blame him?). Take a look down below for the full video of this C7 Stingray delivery.

GM already raising prices on 2014 Silverado and Sierra pickups

Mon, 14 Oct 2013

General Motors must be pretty pleased with sales of its two newest pickups, the GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado, as it's announced price hikes for both models, as part of a planned price tweak.
Prices will be bumped by as much as $1,500, although weirdly, they'll be offset by as much as $1,500 in cash-back offers through the end of October. Fox Business reports that GM spokesman Jim Cain said of the price hike, "With the sell down of the '13 models nearly complete, this price adjustment was planned and is a normal part of business."
The move, as Fox is quick to point out, is an interesting one, as sales of the twin pickups struggled last month relative to the Ford F-Series, while both of GM's crosstown competitors have been aggressively undercutting Silverado and Sierra prices. The F-150 starts at $24,070 and the Ram 1500 comes in at $23,600, not counting any cash on the hood. A base Silverado, meanwhile, retails at $25,575.
