1993 Chevrolet G20 Chevy Van Explorer Conversion on 2040-cars
State College, Pennsylvania, United States
1993 Chevy Explorer
Conversion Van. Looking at this van,
you can tell that it was an expensive vehicle when it was new. The details in the interior are amazing….storage
everywhere, carved woodwork, power rear seat that folds into a huge bed, tv/vcr, built-in cooler, many built-in lights……the
options are endless. This van is not new,
but it has a lot of life left in it. The
interior is in remarkably good shape. There
is a recent PA state inspection sticker on it and new tires. The van runs and
shifts great – no issues. As with any older
vehicle, there are some less-than-terrific parts. Here is the list….. -
There is some rust on
the rocker panels. Please see the
pictures for details. -
The passenger side
window is temperamental….sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. -
The paint on the
fiberglass roof has faded. Again, please
see pictures for details. - Final issue…..the van was purchased from an estate. Due to a notary mistake, the title says 117,890 miles. The van actually has 106,491 miles on it and the odometer works.. As a result, the title will be shown as Miles Exempt. This is not an uncommon designation for older vehicles, but we want to make it clear that the mileage on the title will be listed as Exempt. There's a reserve, but it's low.....very low.... Bid with
confidence. We take pride in our feedback and work to make sure every
customer is completely satisfied. We’ve sold cars, trucks, motorcycles
and motor homes with prices as high as $55,000.
And every vehicle, every time, is sold with no hidden fees and an
emphasis on strong communication. Please feel free to
contact us with any questions. Thanks, and good luck bidding! |

2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra show all their sides in Detroit
Tue, 15 Jan 2013There could hardly be more riding on the next-generation General Motors full-size pickup trucks, so the automaker has wisely made sure to have a selection of different models on hand at the Detroit Auto Show to show off. The 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and 2014 GMC Sierra were both officially introduced last month at a stand-alone reveal, and now they'll be on display for the public to see in various body configurations and trim levels.
The Silverado LTZ Crew Cab and Sierra SLE Extended Cab are aimed at providing more of a high-end pickup experience, while the Silverado LT Z71 Extended Cab and Sierra SLT Z71 Crew Cab should have off-road fans scouting out their favorite trails. The crew cab trucks won't go into production until sometime during the second quarter of this year - with other bodystyles coming later in the year - but we have plenty of live images from Detroit for you to enjoy.
Chevy might've pulled out of NASCAR if it weren't for new Gen 6 car
Wed, 20 Feb 2013We've been on the fence with NASCAR for some time now. On one hand, it's some of the closest racing anywhere in motorsports, with actual passing and door-handle-to-door-handle action as a matter of course. But on the other, it's become template racing - a personality-driven sport more about the drivers than any sort of loyalty to a particular automaker. The Car Of Tomorrow format really rammed that message home, with a racecar's identity coming down to little more than headlamp stickers slapped on the nose. That's not necessarily a bad thing in and of itself, but we've wondered for some time what's in it for the automakers, who pay big money to stay in a series that has had little increasingly little do with street car sales, let alone innovation.
Apparently General Motors was beginning to wonder the same thing. In a new ESPN report, Rick Hendrick, team owner of Hendrick Motorsports, suggests that GM would have seriously considered leaving NASCAR if it wasn't for the move away from the COT to the new Gen 6 racer. According to Hendrick, GM North America boss Mark Reuss spearheaded the charge away from the 2007 COT and toward a racecar with clearer automaker ties - cars like the new Chevrolet SS racer shown above. Learn more about the fight for a closer-to-production look in the ESPN story at the link.
Now, if we could just get more rear-wheel drive V8 coupes into showrooms....
GM looks to combat high theft rates on SUVs with added tech
Tue, 24 Dec 2013The Cadillac Escalade has been at or near the top of most-stolen and insurance-loss lists for more than seven years, until it dropped to number six earlier this year. In 2011 it was fitted with a host of new security features to address its easy-to-override features and that has brought the number of thefts down, but when eight of the ten most stolen rides are large SUVs from General Motors, no one will argue that something else needs to be done.
Thus, GM has fitted this same theft-deterring tech to the 2015 Suburban, Tahoe and Yukon. The Suburban and Tahoe will get the steering lock that the Escalade and Yukon already get, plus bolted-down third-row seats to deter thefts like this, stronger door lock cylinders and shields, and side-cut keys to inhibit picking.
Additional security measures in a Theft Protection Package can be purchased for $395, consisting of sensors on the greenhouse glass and interior, an incline/tilt sensor and added "key control systems" to make it more difficult for the men in black balaclavas to steal what you bought.
