Hello, Thanks for looking at my auction.

This van runs great. It has the big 5.7L V8 engine which is a very nice motor and has a lot of power. This van fires right up and runs, drives, and shifts great. I am the second owner and it has been taken care of over the years. The interior is in really good shape as you can see in the pictures. Burgundy in color. It has the two captains chairs in the front, two big bench seats in the middle section. All the seats are in great condition. The carpet is clean but does have a couple small stains that would come out with a good shampooing. The back cargo area is larger then you would think considering it has 2 rows of bench seats. The area measures 58" x 54".

The NOT SO GOOD details are: the air conditioning doesn't work. It probably just needs a recharge. With all the windows that open, it never bothered me enough to get it serviced. Also, the heat doesn't blow hard out of the front, but the middle and rear units heat the entire van up in no time. Front windshield has a 5 inch crack running from bottom towards top but does not even come close to interfering with line of sight. The body has a few dents and dings, but the only real issue with the body is the issue with rust on the drivers side lower panel along the running boards.

I tried my best to describe the van 100%, please ask all questions before buying. Interested buyers are more than welcome to come out and view the vehicle before buying. The buyer is welcome to have the vehicle fully inspected before buying (at buyers expense). Buyer will be responsible for sales tax, title and registration fee.

This vehicle is also being sold locally and I reserve the right to cancel all bids and end the auction early.

Why the Corvette is Chevrolet's billion-dollar baby

Thu, 28 Feb 2013

Edmunds has worked up a piece that tries to figure out just how much the global Chevrolet Corvette economy is worth, a spitballed guesstimate putting the number at more than $2.5 billion with the proviso that the number is probably low. It starts by taking Corvette's new car sales of 14,132 units last year, which would equate to $714,725,900 (including destination) assuming ever car sold was a base coupe with no options. In the final tally, a little extra padding gets that number up to $750,000,000.
But that's not all. Consider this: Many of the almost 1.4 million Corvettes produced over the model's history are still on the road. There are new parts being produced and aftermarket companies like Mid-America Motorworks deaing business, that single Illinois company doing more than $40 million a year in sales. There are the Corvette events large and small, restorers who do nothing but Corvettes, salvage yards that deal only in used Corvette parts and the Corvette magazines where owners find all this stuff.
And then there are the Corvette-themed tchotchkes, every single one of which provides a tiny contribution to the huge licensing royalties that General Motors collects every year. The article admits there's no way to come to an accurate number, but it just goes to show how valuable one specific model can be to a company.

2014 Chevy Silverado High Country spied wearing trappings of new luxury trim

Wed, 03 Apr 2013

Spy photographers have spotted the new Chevrolet Silverado High Country and GMC Sierra Denali out on public streets for a little testing. From the looks of things, the Silverado will receive a much-differentiated front fascia along with special badges and those honking 20-inch chrome wheels. Expect to find a more posh interior as well. Likewise, the Sierra Denali will wear a tweaked nose with the familiar Denali bling. The one of the GMC trucks spotted here rolls on 21-inch gunmetal wheels instead of the 20-inch chrome pieces of the High Country.
Word has it both trucks will go on sale after the Texas State Fair this summer. While General Motors hasn't said for certain what we can expect to find under the hood, we'd be surprised to see anything outside of the range of engines found in the standard Silverado and Sierra models. That means buyers should be able to get their hands on the efficient, 23-miles per gallon 5.3-liter V8.

GM looks to combat high theft rates on SUVs with added tech

Tue, 24 Dec 2013

The Cadillac Escalade has been at or near the top of most-stolen and insurance-loss lists for more than seven years, until it dropped to number six earlier this year. In 2011 it was fitted with a host of new security features to address its easy-to-override features and that has brought the number of thefts down, but when eight of the ten most stolen rides are large SUVs from General Motors, no one will argue that something else needs to be done.
Thus, GM has fitted this same theft-deterring tech to the 2015 Suburban, Tahoe and Yukon. The Suburban and Tahoe will get the steering lock that the Escalade and Yukon already get, plus bolted-down third-row seats to deter thefts like this, stronger door lock cylinders and shields, and side-cut keys to inhibit picking.
Additional security measures in a Theft Protection Package can be purchased for $395, consisting of sensors on the greenhouse glass and interior, an incline/tilt sensor and added "key control systems" to make it more difficult for the men in black balaclavas to steal what you bought.
