2008 HHR SS is being offered by the original owner. Had it sold but financing didn't go through so I'm putting it back on the market. Tis is the highly sought after SS version with a turbocharged 4 cylinder engine and an automatic transmission. It's quick and gets great gas mileage. (31 - 33 on the highway). The car has a little over 93000 miles (mostly highway miles) has never been in an accident, and has been dealership maintained throughout its life. The entry that the car still has an existing warranty is that It still has the remainder of the 100,000 mile drivetrain warranty. Being an SS model, it came with 18" custom wheels and larger brakes. The tires and brakes have around 15,000 miles on them. The car has all of the normal amenities found on most of today's cars. (power brakes, steering, windows, and driver's seat, air conditioning and a nice stereo). Has XM-Sirius radio available. In addition, it has traction control, fog lights and remote start. Those are not scratches or dents in the second picture. When these pictures were taken the leaves were falling faster than I could keep them off. This car is quick and fun to drive, yet offers plent of room inside for carrying packages, groceries, car parts or whatever due to the fold down rear seats. This could be a great Christmas present. Chevrolet planning low-cost Corvette under Stingray?
Wed, 27 Feb 2013If you're burnt out on musings about the Chevrolet Corvette, you'll want to go ahead and skip this post. Motor Trend reports General Motors is hard at work on a low-cost version of the seventh-generation sports car for 2015. Rumored to be called the Corvette Coupe, the car will forgo the Stingray and skip the 450-horsepower 6.2-liter V8 engine in favor of a 5.3-liter V8 with under 400 ponies. If you're keeping track, that's a shade of the same engine found behind the headlights of the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra.
The report also suggests the Coupe will receive a number of aesthetic tweaks to separate it from the Stingray, including different front and rear fascias as well as new front fenders and a rear diffuser. Motor Trend says the point of all this is to cut the car's price tag, which means we may see a Corvette on showroom floors for less than $50,000 if this car comes to fruition.

Electric cars are gaining popularity with the general public, but are they still too expensive? According to a survey 1,084 consumers by Navigant Research, a consulting firm located in Boulder, CO, 71 percent want their next car to cost under $25,000, while 41 percent won't go a cent above $20K. Looks like people are even thriftier than we'd originally thought.
Chevy Chaparral 2X Vision Gran Turismo concept blends the past and the future
Wed, 19 Nov 2014The Chevrolet Chaparral 2X Vision Gran Turismo is the rare concept car that salutes a seminal moment in history, yet also borders on science fiction.
Revealed Wednesday at the Los Angeles Auto Show, the concept uses the name of one of Chevy's historic racing partnerships, with Chaparral Racing, which dates to the 1960s. Chaparrals raced successfully at a range of levels, including IndyCar, Trans-Am and SCCA competition.
But the history ends there, as the concept's main purpose is as a racecar in a downloadable update for the PlayStation 3 game Gran Turismo 6.
