**must See** 1963 Chevy Impala Ss Convt 38k Orig Documented Miles, Ps, Pb, Pt on 2040-cars
Lathrop, California, United States
Hi, up for sale is my 1963 Chevy Impala Super Sport
convertible. As you can see by the pictures below this car is beautiful in and
out! You will be hard pressed to find one in this all original condition and in
this very rare color combination. This car has 38k original miles and is fully
documented on my clean California title in hand[Check picture below]. It’s always garage kept and covered. It is
only taken out for car shows. Below I will try and be as thorough as possible
when describing exactly what I see and know about my car. Starting with the
Outside: This car has only 1 repaint that was done in 2001 and still
shows in great to excellent with only a few small flaws, but definitely nothing
that takes away from the car. Let me start by saying that all the chrome and stainless
on the outside is the original, no repop stuff here. The only things that have
been replaced were the emblems, rear antennas, taillights and a few other things
here and there. I kept all the original parts. The bumpers, bumper guards, all
frontend items were either redipped or repolished…very clean. Rear stainless
and 3 piece panel is still the original and has the normal surface scratches
here and there….still looks very clean though. Rear bumper & bumper guard
was rechromed. Side moldings are the original and still look very nice. All
weatherstrips and felts are new. The car has a working power white top with
plastic back window that is in excellent shape that works exactly as it should.
All glass is perfect. Inside:
Inside is beautiful as you can see. It has one interior redo that was done in
2001 while outside paint was being redone. It is in perfect shape top to bottom
with everything excellent. It has alot of factory options installed. It has a
factory working tach, vacuum pop trunk, hazard flashers, compass, spotlights(
can be removed and caps installed), highbeam view finder, Chevrolet visor
mirror, Kleenex dispenser, 8 track player, hand help spotlight, and breezies. Please
note these are all nos parts and not repops. Also installed is a factory
looking indash stereo with mp3 hookup. All speakers have been updated including
custom kick panels with speakers. All electrical is in proper working order. Dashlights,
turnsignals, heater, air, etc are all in proper working order. Motor &
Transmission: The motor is a 327 with lots of power and no issues.
Everything was powder coated to a show finish. Too much to list. As you can see by the
pictures it’s flawless and done. This is a factory power steering and power
brake car. Transmission is a turbo 350 transmission that shifts as it should
with no hesitation. Trunk & Undercarriage: Both very clean as you can see.
Spare & Orig jack kit included. Undercarriage is just as clean as the rest
of the car. Also, newer frontend kit was installed. Everything very nice. Rims & tires,
Etc: The car is rolling on a set
of Cocker wide whitewalls on a set of powdercoated red rims on a totally
restored set of ss hubcaps. Also, I have a set of black rims and skinny
whitewalls if you prefer that look instead…it’s up to you. Above I’ve tried to be as honest as possible about this car.
This is a high dollar car and price will definitely be competitive with others
on these sites. Please no lowballers. You know what this car is worth. I ship alot
of cars out of the country so I know the procedures and costs that occur… I can
help with the costs for getting the car to the shipping ports at a reduced
price. Text, call or email the above posting for more information or offers.
Thanks, Brian 408-seven12-9427. |

Tarantino's stolen Chevy Malibu from Pulp Fiction recovered after 19 years [w/video]
Mon, 29 Apr 2013Quentin Tarantino fans will likely remember Vincent Vega's cherry 1964 Chevrolet Malibu Convertible in Pulp Fiction. In a movie drenched in automotive references, the Malibu is very nearly a character in and of itself, and it serves as the subject of Vega's soliloquy about the kind of man who vandalizes another's automobile. It also happened to be Tarantino's personal car when the film was shot, and was apparently stolen shortly after production wrapped. Now police have located the car some 19 years later.
As it turns out, the thieves cloned the vehicle identification number from another '64 Malibu and had the car registered under the new digits. It was then sold to an unsuspecting buyer. Police happened upon the duplicate VINs while investigating another potential theft. Right now, it's unclear whether Tarantino has taken possession of the Chevrolet, if it has remained in the possession of the fraud victim, or whether it's caught somewhere in the gears of justice. Either way, you can catch Vega's memorable thoughts on the car keying in the Pulp Fiction clip below. But consider yourself warned: the video contains explicit language as Not Safe For Work as it comes.
First privately owned Corvette Stingray blitzes 1/4 mile in 12.23 at 114.88 mph
Tue, 01 Oct 2013Chevrolet's latest road rocket, the Corvette Stingray, is a very quick car. If one needs further proof of that, we recommend they take a look at this video from Hennessey of what is claimed to be the first privately owned C7 Corvette to make a pass down the quarter mile. Not just any quarter mile, mind, this black C7 blitzed its way down the tuner's primary testing dragstrip. The Chevrolet ran the quarter in just 12.23 seconds at 114.88 miles per hour. That is a very quick time for a stock car.
Equipped with the Z51 package and a six-speed automatic transmission, not only does the C7 run a solid time, but it does so with little to no drama. That won't last though, as Hennessey will likely return it to its owner with far more power - we just hope they show a drag run of the completed product. Take a look below to watch the C7's 12.23-second run on video.
2014 Chevrolet Silverado tows in new configurator, microsite
Mon, 21 Jan 2013Judging by your continued enthusiastic response to configurator notices, dear reader, you enjoy speccing out new cars as much as we do. Better still, there tends to be even more ways to personalize, configure and bloat theoretical MSRPs on full-size trucks as there are with more ordinary passenger cars. In addition to trim level, engine and transmission choices, truck buyers usually have to specify items like cab configuration, bed length, number of driven axles, tow packages, gear ratios and all sorts of bits and bobs.
That's why we're pleased to see the DIY specification utility for the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado come alive so soon after this week's Detroit Auto Show debut. While the configurator lacks pricing (General Motors hasn't announced numbers yet) and full options, you can still spec out your half-ton rig, and even print it out or email it to your friends. Beyond the configurator, the new model-specific site is pretty cool, too, with various videos and closer looks at the truck's new features.
The new Chevrolet pickup range won't be on dealer lots until sometime this summer, so whether you're a building contractor, an avid sportsman or just a guy or gal that loves full-size trucks, you might want to check out the link below to keep your appetite whetted. If you're more of a Sierra fan, well, it looks like you're going to have to wait a while - GMC hasn't updated its site yet.
