up for sale is my 64 impala ss, it is a true ss. I've been working on this car for about a year and have the drive train and suspension real nice, it's ready for some body work but I have too many projects and a baby on the way so I gotta let it go. here's a list of the upgrades:
front crossed drilled slotted disc brake conversation
tubular control arms
drop spindles
lowering springs
headers and full exhaust
aluminum radiator and electric fan
aluminum pulleys, intake,etc
new elderbrock carb
msd distributor, msd coil, msd wires
motor with less than 1000 miles
200r4 tranny conversion with overdrive
ccp performance gearbox with drag link and all accessories
nice staggered 17" wheels and new tires
new gas tank and all lines
battery relocated in trunk

I'm sure I'm forgetting some stuff but that's all I can think of right now. the body does have some rust. it's definitely savable, but will need some work. I bought a whole front clip and had it sand blasted and primed, those parts are in pretty good shape and will need minimal work. i will be throwing in those parts with the sale. the guy i got the car from had just put the motor in a month before i got it, im not really sure what motor it is. i believe its a 350 but not 100% sure.buyer responsible for shipping. feel free to ask me any questions. thanks for looking!!

General Motors shaking up its marketing... again

    Wed, 13 Mar 2013

One of the things that dogs the full comeback of General Motors is the instability of its marketing. That part of the automaker got yet another big shakeup today when GM confirmed what I have been tweeting for a few days - strong rumors that the Chevrolet and Cadillac ad accounts are walking to new ad agencies.
Cadillac, GM's luxury brand, is going into review from Fallon Worldwide, Minneapolis and the indications are that Campbell-Ewald, Chevy's old ad shop, will end up with most or all of it. C-E just announced that it was moving from its long-time home in Warren, MI to a new downtown Detroit office next to Ford Field, just blocks from GM.
The other shoe to drop shortly will be the shift of GM's most important brand, Chevy, from Goodby, Silverstein & Partners of San Francisco to McCann-Erickson of Troy, MI. McCann used to be the agency for Buick and GMC, as well as GM's corporate advertising, and has retained some pieces of business over the last few years. Sources have even told us that it was McCann that did a lot of the creative work on Chevy's new ad platform, Find New Roads. (Not to be confused with a former McCann tagline for Saab, "Find Your Own Road.")

GM tinkering with Silverado, Sierra model mix amidst strong early sales

    Mon, 04 Nov 2013

Variety, as they say, is the spice of life. That's a lesson that is currently being taught to General Motors, because despite a strong showing from its 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra, the General's pickup sales still can't best those of cross-town rival Ford.
With 59,163 trucks moved, GM fell just over 1,000 units short of toppling Ford, and one of the main reasons for that, according to GM's chief sales analyst, was due to a lack of variety in the engines and body styles available on dealer lots. "We are still over-weighted toward crew-cab V8 trucks. Our light-duty mix will moderate over time as our launch progresses," said Kurt McNeil.
Loading dealers with the popular combination of the 5.3-liter V8 and the four-door, Crew Cab body style was intentional during the truck's launch, but as supplies of leftover 2013 models, which are being sold at heavy incentives, are beginning to wane, both budget-conscious and high-dollar buyers are looking elsewhere instead of at the volume model pickups.

Are you the 2014 Corvette Grand Sport?

    Thu, 21 Feb 2013

When are stripes more than just stripes? Follow up question: Is the product development team at Chevrolet really cocky enough to hide the next C7 Corvette variant in plain sight? This very recently spotted, and ostensibly obscured C7 asks a lot more questions than it answers, but there's at least some evidence to support that it might be the next Corvette Grand Sport.
The first and most obvious tip-off that something is up with this 'Vette revolves around those silver stripes. Obviously the stripes themselves don't necessarily denote a new model. However, when Chevy recently launched its "colorizer" website for the Stingray, there was no provision made for racing stripes - solid colors only.
Grand Sport exhibit number two is actually an incriminating lack of badges. The production Corvettes we've seen to date have all carried Stingray badges on their fenders, just behind the vent. The car seen in these images has no such badges, which is an intriguing omission on an car that looks like a production-spec vehicle otherwise.
