For your consideration I have a 67 Impala Pro Street car. This is a nice build on an absolutely rust free body, there are no rust patches anywhere. Engine is a 1968 396 bored .030 oversize effectively making it a 402. Features a GM steel crank, Comp Cams Mutha Thumper roller cam, Comp roller lifters, push rods and guide plates and Comp full roller rockers. Edelbrock aluminum intake with Holley 850 double pumper carb. Ignition is a new stock type HEI distributor. the compression is 9:1 so it runs fine on regular unleaded fuel, nothing exotic needed. Trans is a TCI Street Fighter TH400 with 2200 stall Street Fighter torque converter. Coated headers with X pipe and Flowmaster mufflers. The Chassis is all Chris Alstons Chassisworks. Includes a Chassisworks back half with 4 link fully adjustable suspension, Fab 9 axle housing, Strange center section with 5:13 gears, a spool and Strange axles. The spool is definitely not as bad on the street as many would have you believe. It corners well, just don't hammer it on a corner as it WILL come around on you. Front framework is Chassisworks Street Fighter setup with tubular upper and lower control arms, manual rack and pinion steering with QA1 adjustable coil over shocks on all 4 corners of the car. The side rails of the chassis are original GM but all other components have been upgraded. ALL chassis and suspension fasteners are grade 8 with nylock nuts. Weld wheels front and rear. Front tires are virtually new BF Goodrich, rears are 33 X 19.5 Micky Thompson Sportsman Pros showing nearly full tread. Brakes include Wilwood manual master cylinder, Wilwood front discs and calipers and Ford rear calipers and rotors. The brakes on this car have an awesome pedal and stop the car in a hurry. Car features RJS 5 point harnesses on both seats. I have not installed the crotch straps as I don't like using them and didn't want them flopping around on the floor, they are included if you wish to install them. The harnesses are dated April 2012 so there are several years before they expire. The driveshaft is a custom built unit with heavy duty U joints. The cooling system consists of a 2 row aluminum radiator, clutch fan and shroud. It works well, I don't think I have ever seen it over 190 degrees, and that was a 90 degree day this past summer in traffic. The rear wheel well openings have been radiused by 2 inches for tire clearance. All rear tubs and trunk floor are steel, not aluminum; welded, not riveted. All chassis work and metal fab was completed by Automotive Design Center in Posen IL, I have over $20,000 in receipts just for their work. Fuel cell is 15 gallon foam filled with sending unit so the gas gauge works. The interior is pretty much stock with the exception of late model Chrysler bucket seats and an 8 point Chassisworks roll cage. The side door bars are removable for street use. The side door panels and rear side panels are originals and while still respectable, they could stand to be replaced to freshen up the interior. While not perfect show quality, the black base coat / clear coat paint on the car is pretty damn nice. Paint has been sanded smooth and buffed to a wonderful luster. The body work is straight and shows well. There are some flaws in the paint, a couple chips and scuffs. Just stuff you would expect from normal use. Overall, I would say the paint is better than 90% The aftermarket fiberglass hood does not fit very well but I think that is just the nature of the beast. All weatherstripping in the car has been replaced this past summer with Soffseal brand gaskets. The bumpers and majority of the trim are original but all look quite nice. No peeling chrome or dings in the trim. There is one dent in the rear bumper, if you look close at the pics you should be able to pick it out. This car is sinister looking in black and makes an obnoxious statement when driving. It drives quite well, but without power steering or power brakes it can be a bit of a workout at times. The steering is straight with no pulling and the brakes stop solid, again with no pull to either side. It is noisy inside, if you have never driven a pro street car, let me describe it. There is NO rubber mounting in the rear suspension, all joints are solid steel joints so every bump in the road gets transmitted into the chassis and cage. While there are bead rolls in the rear tin work to help stiffen it up, it still rattles quite a bit. There is no sound deadner in this car. While under cruise conditions, the exhaust is fairly mellow but when you get on it, it sure does make some noise. The car runs and drives very well. I am sure the carb would benefit from an experienced tuner. I am running it as it was straight out of the box, save for idle adjustments. When you stab it from a dead stop, it hesitates pretty bad. Get it rolling about 3-4 MPH and stab it and this thing moves out. I haven't tuned a carb in over 15 years, I am a fuel injection guy, and no longer have any jets or pump cams so I figured I would just leave well enough alone for now. While not brutally fast due to the fairly small engine, it is still a car to be reckoned with. From the seat of my pants, I would guess high 11's in the 1/4 mile. Remember, this thing probably weighs in at 2 tons! Most everything electrical functions properly. The horn doesn't work. The relay clicks and I have tested the horns and they work so it should be a pretty simple diagnosis, I just never got around to it. The hazard flashers do not function, no clue as to why. All turn signals, running lights, headlights, brake lights and reverse lights function properly. There is no radio in the car, you probably couldn't hear it even if there was one. There is no heater or air conditioning. The holes in the firewall for all of these items have been welded shut and smoothed over for a nice sanitary appearance. The speedometer works but I don't think it is very accurate at higher speeds and it does have a tendency to bounce around a bit. Overall, the car is pretty clean but there is no doubt that it would benefit from a good detail job. I am simply not a toothbrush cleaning kind of guy so for me it was always good enough. I haven't had the balls to add up all the receipts but I am quite sure there has been well over $40K spent on this car, not including time and labor except for the professional chassis and tin work. This is a fully registered, licensed and insured car with clean WI title that is street legal. If a cop really wanted to be a prick, you could probably get hit with a citation for no tailpipes or horn but otherwise everything is good to go. If you want into the pro street world, you couldn't replicate this car for more than twice the reserve price. I am selling it as I have simply lost interest and am much more into a cruiser type car at this point in life. This car has the chassis to go much faster than it does right now, it simply needs a larger mill and maybe some nitrous. Sky is the limit! Read the description and look close at the pics and you won't be disapointed! I am available evenings after 5:00 PM and most all weekend. Please feel free to make arrangements to come and view the car in person. I wish to be as open and honest about it as I can. I am located in Manitowoc, WI.......about 3 hours straight north of Chicago and about 5 hours east of Minneapolis. I encourage you to come and check it out in person!!

!!! PLEASE READ ALL CONDITIONS BELOW BEFORE BIDDING!!                                       .

If you have any questions that you feel can't be answered via email, feel free to contact me, Rob, at 920-645-4247.

I have had some folks express concerns over the shipping prices listed in my ads. Please understand, I DO NOT personally set the shipping costs, eBay does. All I do is enter the dimensions and weight of the package and eBay shipping calculator spits out the shipping cost based on your zip code. If you have concerns, please direct them to eBay. Except for unusually large or fragile items, I do NOT charge you for packaging materials, tape, padding or transport to the shipper, unlike many other sellers. I supply all of this on my own, all YOU pay for is UPS or USPS. .

<<<<<<<<!!** In person inspection of items and free pickup are always welcome**!!>>>>>>>>

Quoted shipping costs DO NOT include insurance!! UPS covers packages up to $100, after that there IS an additional charge. I do not require insurance as some folks do not like the extra cost and others do not like the extra risk. Insurance is YOUR CHOICE and it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to inform me if you wish to have your package insured.

I do my best to have all packages shipped within 48 hours of payment received but on occasion this time frame may be extended to allow me time to locate the best materials to insure your item arrives undamaged.

All items are sold AS IS! I try very hard to give accurate and honest descriptions of all my items. The best thing you can do if you are unsure is to ASK QUESTIONS!! Questioning is the number one best way to get the information you need.

I do my best to be accurate in listing the proper applications for items I sell but in the end, the responsibility of verifying proper application falls on YOU, the bidder. If you are not sure if the item is correct for your application, ASK QUESTIONS!! If you purchase an item on an assumption and it turns out to be incorrect, I am not responsible.

Feedback is an important part of the eBay experience, it allows us all to know what kind of person it is we are dealing with. I do my best to provide a smooth and easy transaction for everybody involved. Once the transaction is complete and you are satisfied with your item, please leave feedback. Once I receive feedback, I will return positive feedback, usually in under 12 hours. This policy helps to insure that everybody is satisfied with the completed transaction.

           Bidding on this item indicates that you have read and agree to the above listed terms and conditions. photo PB011741_zps201e16a2.jpg photo PB011739_zps63a2227e.jpg photo PB011740_zps8188f16a.jpg photo PB011737_zps54ce3f7d.jpg photo PB011738_zps089ae4fc.jpg photo PB011742_zps7d6c5fdc.jpg photo PB011743_zpsed942d47.jpg photo PB011744_zpsd822daa0.jpg photo PB011745_zps1261a8f2.jpg photo PB011746_zpsdf727684.jpg photo PB011747_zps738e7219.jpg photo PB011748_zpsaa45a6fc.jpg photo PB011749_zpsa28fb280.jpg photo PB011750_zpsb915be79.jpg photo PB011751_zps885faa8f.jpg photo PB011752_zpsf06b7fb1.jpg photo PB011753_zpsa74ea128.jpg photo PB011754_zpsb99c7ba9.jpg photo PB011755_zps02570420.jpg photo PB011756_zps6440deac.jpg photo PB011757_zps0265560b.jpg photo PB011758_zps4a0775be.jpg photo PB011759_zpsfef61dd0.jpg photo PB011760_zps76a898b7.jpg photo PB011736_zpsf73f1df4.jpg photo PB011735_zps78f81fb2.jpg photo PB011734_zps3e30e1f4.jpg photo PB011733_zpsb0856696.jpg photo PB011732_zpscce28d71.jpg photo PB011731_zps87af634e.jpg photo PB011730_zpseb7364b4.jpg photo PB011729_zpsaceccbfb.jpg photo PB011728_zpsfb155cd8.jpg photo PB011727_zps35777d81.jpg photo PB011726_zps76842e19.jpg photo PB011725_zps4d6fa619.jpg photo P6161476.jpg

Dodge vs. Chevy tug-of-war taken to the extreme

Mon, 17 Dec 2012

They say "idle hands are the devil's playground," but said playgrounds grow to Disney-sized proportions when a pair of jacked-up trucks, two egos, a chain and an empty mall parking lot are involved. Proof of this is the video below, which shows a Cummins-powered Dodge Ram circa 2006 to 2008 chained tail-to-tail with what looks to be a gasoline-powered Chevrolet Silverado from the late 1990s or early 2000s.
We don't necessarily have to tell you who wins this battle, but we'll let you see for yourself the lengths the "winning" driver goes to prove his point. There's plenty of foul language in the video below, so beware that this might be Not Safe For Work, and not that we should have to tell you, but please, do not try this at home.

Fewer than 1 in 3 Chevy dealers earn right to initially sell C7 Corvette

Mon, 01 Apr 2013

Looking to make the launch of the 2014 Corvette Stingray as efficient as possible, Chevrolet will be limiting the numbers of its dealers that can sell the all-new coupe and convertible. According to Automotive News, sales of the C7 Corvette will initially be limited to less than a third of Chevy's total dealership network when the 'Vette goes on sale this summer.
Only 900 dealers out of more than 3,000 locations nationwide will be allowed to sell the new Corvette at first, and the reason for this is so that there are no shortages at dealers that can actually get the cars sold. The article says that the 900 dealerships chosen represented 80 percent of total Corvette sales in 2012.
Some of the requirements dealers had to make to get initial allocation of Stingray sales include having sold at least four Corvettes in 2012 and having a Corvette Stingray specialist who will be required to have gone through a training session costing more than $2,000 per attendee. Once demand for the 2014 Corvette Stingray begins to subside - approximately six to nine months after it goes on sale - then allocation could open up to more dealers, but the report indicates this could happen following the 2014 model year.

Chevrolet Camaros at SEMA are a mobile accessory catalog

Wed, 06 Nov 2013

Chevy's goal at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas this week seems to be to show as much of its Performance and Accessories catalog as possible. That's why it brought three different Camaros - two with V8s and one powered by a V6 - with all of the best goodies from the catalog already fitted.
We gave a more in-depth recap of the Performance Camaro V8 Concept, the Performance Camaro V6 Concept and the Performance Garage Concept already, but we figured you'd like a short recap for each. It should be noted, though, that you can order all of the items you see here for your own Camaro, so be sure to take a long, hard look at our live galleries, just in case you're in the market for some mods.
Essentially, the Performance Garage Concept and the Performance V8 Concept are the same car - the only difference is that the later features a whole host of aesthetic tweaks in addition to its aftermarket, shorty exhaust headers and 2.75-inch exhaust. (The Performance Garage Concept has been usefully placed on its side; the better to see the new parts added to the vehicle.) The Performance V6 Concept is notable because, despite being a V6, there's no shortage of performance goodies fitted. All three of the Performance Camaros benefit from items from the Camaro ZL1, which can also be ordered through the catalog.
