not often a car this original and unmolested comes along....this is a 2 owner real big block ss396 fastback
has factory buckets dealer installed air tilt wheel which is a rare factory option center console floor shifter all books and manuals including aluminum protect o plate and door tag body fitment is excellent has been repainted to original color many years ago ...looks good but of course not perfect has had some body work on both rear quarter panels 1st owner bought it new at dealer and as she got older became difficult to get in and out of garage so rear quarters were scratched and repaired by her son also has a chip on passenger front fender near hood still has oem ss396 hub caps which are very hard to find back seat is original upholstery fronts recovered not to factory specs all lights including interior work along with all gauges new dual exhaust system no visible rust anywhere fantastic running car which could use very slight cosmetics NEGATIVE OR ZERO FEEDBACK BIDDERS PLEASE CALL OR YOUR BID WILL BE CANCELLED foreign bidders i can assist with transportation i encourage your inspection car is sold as is were it is with no expressed or implied warranty any questions or concerns call me Steven 818 681 7313 cell 818 703 6584 land line... i am here to answer them please have your funds in place before you place a bid... |

Read This: Auto Extremist advocates for Corvette as brand with multiple models [w/poll]
Fri, 25 Jan 2013The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette really grinds Peter De Lorenzo's gears. Or, more accurately, the self-anointed Auto Extremist has an issue with what he sees as mismanagement of the legendary sports car by General Motors executives. In a new editorial on his website, De Lorenzo argues it's time to split Corvette off from Chevrolet to create an all-new brand, complete with a model range with at least three new takes on the sports car. Capable of fully leveraging the successes of the Corvette Racing program and brandishing the full might of GM's technical prowess, the Corvette brand would theoretically give Porsche something to sweat over.
Sure, that sounds like a party, but given GM's troubled track record when it comes to launching (let alone managing) brands, we say that's slippery slope that could just as easily end with the whole Corvette franchise in the scrap bin. Amelia Island 2013: Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray from concepts to split windows
Wed, 13 Mar 2013While this year marks 60 years of the Chevrolet Corvette, the 2013 Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance focused on one of the coupe's most sought after models, the 1963 Sting Ray. General Motors design boss Ed Welburn was on hand to show off the all-new C7 Corvette, but even the hard-edged styling of the 2014 Stingray couldn't take away from the beautiful 1963 models sitting out on the field.
In addition to the original Sting Ray and the 1959 Sting Ray Concept, some of the other classic 'Vettes included "Big Tank" racecars, an interesting cutaway coupe, a right-hand-drive Z06 and the attention-grabbing 1963 Corvette Rondine by Pininfarina. Another impressive Corvette was the 1964 Corvette XP-819 rear-engine prototype. Owner Mike Yager had the car finished as a driving chassis for this year's show, but promises the car will be back to its original glory in time for next year's event.
