hello.. up for sale is my dream car due to my son needing surgery... so here it goes
1969 chevelle
454
good wrench 4 bolt main
400 turbo transmission
2500 style converter
less than 15000 miles on motor....
730 cfm holley carb
weld wheels, falken tires....
dual magnaflow exhaust
B&M floor shifter (original column shift car)
basically all the hard stuff is done, paint is decent, pretty new, needs to be buffed.. it is pearl white with blue pearl stripes, ss hood, interior is new, needs headliner. It has decent "usable carpet but will come with new carpet, the right factory moulded carpet. the door panels are new, the seats have been recovered, the dash is in great shape. interior lights work.
It needs..
headliner
exterior trim installed
miscellaneous trim pieces inside
seatbelts
AC was omitted, (original ac car)
speedo cable
fuel sending unit needs to be hooked up..(changed the fuel tank and didn't install the dang wires)
I have the chevy bowtie rearview mirror, just haven't installed it yet.
needs little things like that here and there.. cant really think of anything else right now..
the body
the body is pretty straight, has a little bondo behind rear tires, small amount, magnet still grabs, I think it was used as more of a filler, all in all pretty straight all the way around, the car was painted when I got it so I can't really attest to the body underneath, however I have owned it for a while and gone over with a magnet and it seems to be metal everywhere except the spot behind rear tire where the body filler is. (small spot) I want to be as honest as possible. I have not found any cancer on the car. the body is real straight in my opinion, and when its cleaned the paint glistens. however it isn't perfect, no old hot rod driver quality car is.. if it were, i'd be asking a lot LOT more
BOTTOM LINE
It is a real head turner, gets attention everywhere, it is excellent driver quality, it is not a barrett Jackson show car, it is pretty fast, lots of power, new chrome front bumper and grill look excellent, sits mean, the pearl paint really pops.
If you want to pick it apart... you probably could.. its not perfect.. it is nice.. no rust in trunk or floor pans, undercarriage is clean gas tank is new
frame is painted black, shocks are new.. great car for the money.. again NOT PERFECT.. but cranks as soon as you turn the key, drives straight and stops quick (new brakes)(pb drum)

GM recalling 426,000 sedans over faulty transmission shift cable
Fri, 21 Sep 2012General Motors is recalling some 426,240 sedans that may have a faulty transmission shift cable, according to a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report this morning. The recall concerns a fault within four-speed automatic transmissions equipped on 2007-2010 Saturn Aura models, and 2008-2010 Chevrolet Malibu and Pontiac G6 models.
The report specifies that tabs on the transmission shift cable may fracture and separate. Such a fault could cause a discrepancy between the actual position of the transmission and the apparent position of the shift lever.
GM is currently working to notify owners of the vehicles in question, and dealers will check and replace shift cables free of charge. Scroll down to read the complete NHTSA report.
Pushing Back: GM expanding Chevrolet into Korea, Daewoo out
Thu, 29 Apr 2010Chevrolet Camaro goes to South Korea - Click above for high-res image
General Motors decided several years ago to begin heavily promoting Chevrolet as its global mainstream brand even in markets where its existing brands like Opel and Daewoo were a dominant force. Today, at the Busan Motor Show in South Korea, GM Daewoo president Mike Arcamone announced that the Camaro would lead the way in GM's efforts to market Chevrolet in South Korea.
For now at least Chevrolet and Daewoo-branded vehicles will coexist in the Korean market. However, while we were in China last week GM officials told us that the Daewoo brand, which has been somewhat tainted by past quality issues, would eventually be phased out in favor of Chevrolet. When the new Aveo launches next year it will likely be badged as a Chevrolet even though GM Daewoo is in charge of engineering the car.
Artist imagines eerie world where cars have no wheels
Thu, 24 Jan 2013The wheel ranks right up there with the telescope and four-slice toaster in the pantheon of inventions that have moved humankind forward. But what if a circle in three dimensions had never occurred to anyone, and we all had just moved on without it? Perhaps we'd be driving around in Lucas Motors Landspeeders with anti-gravity engines. Or maybe we'd have the same cars we do today, just without wheels.
That's the thought experiment that seems to have led French photographer Renaud Marion to create his six-image series called Air Drive. The shots depict cars throughout many eras of motoring that look normal except for one thing: they have no wheels. The models used include a Jaguar XK120, Cadillac DeVille (shown above), Chevrolet El Camino and Camaro, and Mercedes-Benz SL and 300 roadsters.
Perhaps one day when our future becomes our past, you'll be able to walk the street and see with your own eyes the rust and patina of age on our nation's fleet of floating cars. Until then, Monsieur Marion's photographs will have to do.
