1970 Chevy Chevelle Malibu W/bucket Seats, Console, Ss Badges, New Quarters on 2040-cars
Murfreesboro, Tennessee, United States
Thank you for taking a look at my 1970 Chevelle. Please read this listing carefully and in its entirety. I will attempt to describe this vehicle in as much detail as possible. However, if you have any questions at all, please ask prior to bidding. I have 100% positive feedback and I plan to keep it that way. You are looking at a very solid 1970 Chevelle. It is a 350ci/350 automatic, 10-bolt rear, power steering, front disc brakes. I bought this car planning to give it a light refurb. A new hood led to fenders off…which led to doors off…which led to new hinge bushings…which led to the need for weather strip replacement….which led to “oh let me fix this small spot in the quarter panel”…which led to me cutting both sides out of the car and replacing with fresh steel. Long story short, I got caught up in the "if you are going to do it, do it right" mentality, but now it is time for her to find a new home. The new stuff…. Front Bumper from OPG Rear bumper from OPG (I also have black SS bumper pad, but I have not installed it) Left and right side Quarter panels Cowl Induction hood New Paint - jams, under hood, under deck lid, trunk floor Hood pin kit All weather stripping - doors, quarter windows, upper roof edge, trunk lip, and hood seal. Door hinge bushings - no sagging...doors shut very solid. Left and right door handles Left and right side mirrors 15x8 American Racing Torque Thrust II’s Front disc brake calipers and pads Carpet Right front floor pan If you want to have something ready for the spring cruise-ins that you can drive and enjoy then look no further. This car is awesome driver quality that could easily be made into a full SS clone. The interior features bucket seats and a console with the horse shoe shifter. As I mentioned, the carpet is new. The dash pad is in really good condition as well as the door panels. There are some imperfections in the glass, but not bad at all for a 40 year old car. Overall the interior is in great driver condition, though you may not win the Concours d'Elegance with it. The previous owner went through the engine. I was told that all seals and gaskets were replaced. It has a Demon carb with electric choke. HEI distibutor. Two pumps of the pedal and she fires right up. I don’t know the specs, but it sounds like it has a mild cam. Engine is very sound. I have tried to describe this vehicle as accurately as possible without downplaying the fact that it is an awesome classic. Thank you for taking the time to look and read through my ad. Good luck and happy bidding! If you have very few, poor, or no feedback please contact me before bidding. Failure to do so will result in you bid being canceled. Buyer is responsible for all shipping arrangements. I have a clear title in hand. Payment must be in person in cash or by bank fund transfer. On Jan-23-14 at 13:31:46 PST, seller added the following information: I have uploaded a video of the vehicle at cold idle on youtube. Please follow the link to view:

2014 Chevrolet Cruze TD fires up its new diesel motor
Thu, 07 Feb 2013Ever since General Motors confirmed plans to produce a diesel-powered Cruze back in 2011, we've been eagerly awaiting its arrival. And as part of the 2013 Chicago Auto Show, Chevrolet has pulled back the cover on its oil-burning compact sedan, set to go on sale in the near future with a starting price of $25,695, not including $810 for destination.
The heart and soul of the Cruze TD (that's its official name) is a 2.0-liter turbo-diesel inline four-cylinder engine rated at 148 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, mated solely to a six-speed automatic transmission. The engine also has an overboost function that will increase torque to 280 lb-ft for up to ten seconds. The full brace of official specs haven't been released, but GM tells us that highway fuel economy will come in at 42 miles per gallon. If that number sounds familiar, it's because the Volkswagen Jetta TDI has the exact same rating. Unlike the Jetta, however, the Cruze TD can run on B20 biodiesel, where as the Volkswagen can only accept B5.
Model-specific changes to this 2014 Cruze TD include an aero kit and unique 17-inch alloy wheels. Inside, there's a full leather interior, and Chevrolet will provide two years of complimentary scheduled maintenance, not to mention a 100,000-mile powertrain warranty.
Next-gen GM SUVs caught wearing new boxy bodies [w/video]
Wed, 15 May 2013We recently drove the brand-new 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and found it to be vastly improved compared to the outgoing model. And now that The General's pickup trucks have been squared away, it's time to focus our attention onto their passenger-friendly companions, the Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon (above).
Our spy photographers have passed along a huge smattering of photos (and a video), showing the new SUVs out testing. Both the short- and long-wheelbase models were spied, and while the overall shape of the vehicles hasn't changed all that much, we expect the updates to be substantial. In addition to new powertrain options, like GM's new small-block V8, we expect the interiors of both SUVs to get massive makeovers, providing better materials throughout their cabins and quieter, more refined environments. We even hear that some trick new suspension developments may be in store for upper-end models.
Visually, these spy shots allow us to see a couple of new details on the SUVs' front and rear fascias, including LED running lamps on the Yukon and some interesting LED taillamp treatments. Of course, the obvious third party missing from this set of photos is the Cadillac Escalade, but as we reported earlier, GM is working to further differentiate the 'Slade from the rest of the fullsize SUV lineup, and is working to make the new model "much less ostentatious."
The 2014 Chevrolet SS sedan is for drivers who value performance above all else
Sat, 16 Feb 2013The car you see above is the 2014 Chevrolet SS, and it's important both because it is the first rear-wheel-drive performance sedan from Chevy in 17 years, and because it will be the nameplate the brand uses on NASCAR tracks all across the country starting this year.
Though it wears a name as American as baseball and apple pie, the machine was actually designed and built in Australia, sharing most of its parts with the brand-new VF-model Holden Commodore. That said, the basic chassis bits are shared with other Chevrolet models like the Camaro and Caprice Police Patrol Vehicle.
While Chevrolet is happy to sell a Malibu or Impala to anyone looking for a mainstream family sedan, but the SS is reserved for buyers interested first and foremost in performance. Most sedans sold these days are front-wheel drive, which is great for everyday driving and when the weather goes bad, but the SS is instead a rear-wheel-drive vehicle aimed at enthusiasts who love to drive and who prefer speed and performance above all else.
