Chevrolet (malibu) Classic on 2040-cars

US $3,900.00
Year:2005 Mileage:83605
Location:

For sale is a 2005 Chevy Classic (Malibu) with around 83k miles in good running condition. Car starts right up, engine is strong and transmission shifts smooth. The body is not in the nicest condition but pretty decent. (This is why I'm selling it for cheap) Car has some scratches and there is a dent on the right rear side and some small dents on roof, car was involved in a small accident (nothing major) the front bumper was repainted and the grill was tied down to the bumper with plastic ties so it looks ok - look at the pictures and see for yourself. I replaced the battery about a month ago and the right front wheel bearing has less then a thousand miles on it. The only small issues is that the power steering pump makes a little noise but works fine, heater blower only works on high (my mechanic told me that it's less then a hundred dollar fix) and there is sometimes a clicking noise and was told that it's probably the flasher relay. I have a clean NY title in hand.  Feel free to contact me with any questions or give any reasonable offers. Kelly blue book value for this car is $5,490 in excellent condition and $5,065 in good condition or $4,540 in fair condition, please don't give embarrassing offers. This is also being sold locally and Seller has the right to end this auction at anytime.

Survey says $25k barrier is a problem for EVs

Sun, 01 Dec 2013

The majority of consumers are more or less priced out of the market.
Electric cars are gaining popularity with the general public, but are they still too expensive? According to a survey 1,084 consumers by Navigant Research, a consulting firm located in Boulder, CO, 71 percent want their next car to cost under $25,000, while 41 percent won't go a cent above $20K. Looks like people are even thriftier than we'd originally thought.

Callaway debuts its new C7 Stingray at National Corvette Museum

Fri, 02 May 2014

Callaway showed off its first tuned version of the 2014 Corvette Stingray at the National Corvette Museum last week, giving the rampant enthusiasts of America's sports car a look at the roughly 620-horsepower, supercharged rocket.
Unlike the Corvette SC610 we showed you back in January, this Stingray packs a fair bit more oomph. Horsepower is only up ten ponies, but torque has jumped from 556 pound-feet to "at least" 600 pound-feet. Neither horsepower nor torque is official quite yet, although Callaway is expecting to know just what its creation can do once testing and validation is completed later this month.
The 6.2-liter, supercharged V8 now boasts a new, three-element intercooler, which Callaway claims only allowed the inlet air temperature to increase by ten degrees Fahrenheit during dyno runs. Previous designs saw a 35-degree-Fahrenheit jump. The exhaust system has also been fettled with, and now is even less restrictive.

GM throttles back Chevy Malibu, Buick LaCrosse production over swollen inventories

Wed, 06 Feb 2013

As inventory of the Chevrolet Malibu and Buick LaCrosse continues to pile up, General Motors will be idling its Fairfax Assembly Plant for two weeks, according to Automotive News. This move comes about a month after the plant was shut down for three weeks in late December and early January for the same reason. As of January 31, the GM had a 94-day supply of Malibu stock while the LaCrosse was a little worse with a 117-day supply.
Just last week, GM announced that it would be investing $600 million in upgrading this plant, but it's unclear what future plans the company has in store for Fairfax considering slow sales of both the plant's models. We do expect a refreshed and more luxurious LaCrosse shortly and an early design update for the Malibu to be announced at some point this year, although we have had no official word as to when either will happen.
