1970 Monte Carlo + Many New/used Parts on 2040-cars

This is a complete one owner 1970 Monte Carlo. It has a running 350 motor with 350 transmission. It runs and drives but has not been on the road daily in some time. Brakes will need to be redone. It is a complete car. 90% of the rust you can see in the pictures is surface rust. It has been painted once. The original color of the car was Silver. It has a 10 bolt rear end, disc brakes and AC. All is complete. It does have a few rust areas. The driver's door has rust as well as the lower rear section of the driver's fender. The driver's quarter has a few rust holes above the wheel. There is rust in sections of the trunk as well as driver's floor board. There is also some rust around the glass. I do have an extra set of doors that are rust free that go with this car. 2014 Chevrolet Corvette C7 Convertible offers a few more views before reveal
Mon, 04 Mar 2013Over the weekend, Chevrolet released its first images of the new 2014 Corvette Stingray Convertible. Now, ahead of the droptop's official introduction tomorrow at the Geneva Motor Show, the automaker has given us a few more shots of the softop C7 showing off the car's rump albeit from a high, strategically positioned angle.
From this angle, it's hard to get a sense for how long and flat the decklid really is, but we can easily see that, like the rest of the C7's design, the new convertible's decklid and tonneau cover are far more detailed than the current car. We also get a better look at the rear haunches sans brake vents, which have apparently been moved to underneath the car in order to accommodate the top's hard cover.
As for the overall styling of the C7 convertible, with the top erected, we get some idea of what a coupe design (as opposed to the Stingray's fastback shape) would look like on this car. The C5 Corvette most recently had a coupe model that did away with the large glass hatchback, and we recently reported on a low-cost "coupe" model potentially being added to the C7's repertoire.
GM investing $167m in Spring Hill for new midsize vehicles
Tue, 06 Aug 2013General Motors has announced a large investment in its Spring Hill, Tennessee facility. The former home of Saturn production will be getting a $167 million addition to a previously announced $183 million, to cover a pair of new midsize vehicles. The investment is expected to create 1,800 jobs at the factory.
That $350 million is being divvied up for a pair of programs at Spring Hill. The first will take the bulk of the money ($223 million) and create 1,000 of the 1,800 jobs, while the other will take the remaining $127 million and generate the leftover 800 positions. But GM says the investment will cover "midsize vehicle programs." So what could they be?
The leading candidate in our minds is a new crossover for Buick, called the Anthem, that will slot between the Encore and Enclave, but will be slightly smaller than the Equinox and Terrain. As we've explained, the new model will likely be the first product to sport GM's new D2UX platform, which will eventually replace both the Delta and Theta platforms. Spring Hill is already building the Equinox, so there could be some credence to this theory.
