UP FOR AUCTION IS A FRAME OFF ROTISSARIE NUT&BOLT RESTORATION OF THIS 1971 MONTE CARLO "SS" OF WHICH ONLY 1,919 WERE MANUFACTURED. THIS RESTORATION WAS COMPLETED IN EARLY 2008. THE ORIGINAL COLOR WAS WHITE WITH A BLUE VINYL TOP AND BLUE INTERIOR. THIS VEHICLE IS NOW PAINTED PPG BASE COAT/ CLEAR COAT SILVER WITH A BLACK VINYL TOP AND BLACK INTERIOR. THE RESTORATION WAS COMPLETED BY A PRIVATE COLLECTOR IN OHIO. THE CAR WAS THEN PURCHASED BY R&H COLLECTABLES IN SOLON OHIO. R&H COLLECTABLES IS A HIGH END CLASSIC CAR DEALERSHIP AND SELLS ONLY #1 AND #2 CARS. I PURCHASED THE CAR FROM R&H. THIS VEHICLE HAS NOT SEEN RAIN OR SNOW SINCE THE RESTORATION WAS COMPLETED. THE ODOMETER READS 69561. I PURCHASED THE CARWITH 20 TEST MILES ON IT, I HAVE SINCE PUT 541 MILES ON IT TO READ IT'S PRESENT 69561. Next-gen GM SUVs caught wearing new boxy bodies [w/video]
Wed, 15 May 2013We recently drove the brand-new 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and found it to be vastly improved compared to the outgoing model. And now that The General's pickup trucks have been squared away, it's time to focus our attention onto their passenger-friendly companions, the Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon (above).
Our spy photographers have passed along a huge smattering of photos (and a video), showing the new SUVs out testing. Both the short- and long-wheelbase models were spied, and while the overall shape of the vehicles hasn't changed all that much, we expect the updates to be substantial. In addition to new powertrain options, like GM's new small-block V8, we expect the interiors of both SUVs to get massive makeovers, providing better materials throughout their cabins and quieter, more refined environments. We even hear that some trick new suspension developments may be in store for upper-end models.
Visually, these spy shots allow us to see a couple of new details on the SUVs' front and rear fascias, including LED running lamps on the Yukon and some interesting LED taillamp treatments. Of course, the obvious third party missing from this set of photos is the Cadillac Escalade, but as we reported earlier, GM is working to further differentiate the 'Slade from the rest of the fullsize SUV lineup, and is working to make the new model "much less ostentatious."

After a bright-yellow false start, here is the real thing: the fourth-generation, 2015 Corvette Z06. If Chevrolet makes a ZR1 version of the C7 Corvette, it's going to be absolutely mega, because the Z06 is just about everything we got in the last ZR1, but better.
GM won't sell 2014 Chevrolet SS in Canada
Thu, 21 Feb 2013Allow us to be the first to extend our condolences to our friends to the north. General Motors has announced the 2014 Chevrolet SS will not be available in Canada. The Globe and Mail reports the automaker has confirmed the high-performance sedan won't hit Canadian dealers, though GM hasn't offered up any reasoning as to why that is.
Buyers here in the US of A, meanwhile, can look forward to getting their hands on the 415-horspower, rear-wheel drive SS by late summer. Something tells us it won't be long after that before Canadian officials start seeing individually imported 6.2-liter V8 four-doors in their neighborhoods. Fortunately, Canadian buyers will still be able to take home the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette. The C7 bowed at the Canadian International Auto Show last week, reportedly drawing sizable crowds and interest.
