1966 Chevrolet Nova Pro Touring, one of a kind custom built vehicle. The body is an original rust free Arizona car with new glass, new bumpers, 2 inch cowl hood with custom chrome hinges and custom show paint. The drive-train is a LS-2 Chevrolet engine, computer controlled with Tremec six speed manual transmission. The coupe has custom headers and exhaust, an aluminum radiator with dual electric fans and a Rock Valley fuel tank. The rear end is a 9 inch Ford by Currie with a 350 posi., The car has a TCI front suspension , chrome control arms, coil-overs, power rack and pinion steering, four link rear suspension with coil-overs and sub frame connectors and Wilwood 12 inch disc brakes drilled and slotted. The coupe has custom 17 inch tires and wheels. The interior includes custom bucket seats and console. Dakota digital dash and custom fuel gauge and I Didit steering column with billet steering wheel. The Air conditioning and heat is by Vintage. The quality of workmanship and detail on this vehicle puts it in Concours status. This car belongs to a friend. Feds open investigation into Chevy Express, Ford Freestar rust issues

'Tis the season... for road salt. And with that, comes rust. And what does rust bring? Well, for Ford and General Motors, a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigation. According to The Detroit News, NHTSA is looking into potential recalls issues with Chevrolet Express vans and Ford Freestar minivans.
The feds have received five complaints that rust has caused leaking fuel filler pipes on 2003 Express vans. Separately, seven complaints have been filed over excessive rust in the rear wheel wells of 2004 Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey minivans. The Freestar and Monterey went out of production in 2007. Neither issue has resulted in any crashes or injuries, according to the report.

GM recalling 118K Colorado, Canyon pickups over missing hood latches

General Motors has announced a recall of 118,800 Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon pickup trucks due to the possibility of secondary hood latches not being installed at the time of manufacture. The affected vehicles are from the 2010, 2011 and 2012 model years, all of which were built between November 9, 2009 and August 28, 2012.
According to the official National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report, these trucks fail to "comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 113, 'Hood Latch System.' The hood may be missing the secondary hood latch." In other words, owners of these trucks could find their vehicles' hoods opening unexpectedly while driving.
The official recall campaign is expected to begin on January 17, 2013. Dealers will inspect the affected pickups and if a secondary hood latch is not present, one will be installed free of charge. Scroll down to read the official NHTSA report.
