Up for auction is a beautiful 1967 Chevrolet Nova Chevy II with a 421 Cubic inch small block with turbo 350 auto transmission. This car is laser straight with base/clear coat sunburst pearl red metallic that has been wet sanded and buffed to a mirror finish. This paint is perfect and gets many compliments on how well the paint and the sheer straightness of the body are on this car.  You will not be disappointed with how I have described the overall condition of this car. If you live within driving distance and are looking for a Nova you will buy this car once you see it in person. I have missed many things that cost me much money when building. Car has less than 100 miles on since completed and I have owned since 2003. Car has been mini-tubbed with maintaining original quarters and inner wheel wells. Trunk is all original with fuel cell and moser axles, 12 bolt 4.11 rear end. Motor consists of balanced Eagle rotating assembly with steel crank, H Beam 4340 rods, Ross 10.5 to 1 pistons w/Aluminum heads with Manley valves. I built this motor with maximum horsepower that will run on pumped 93 gas. Cam is a Lunati solid roller with Crane gold racer billet aluminum roller rocker arms with stud girdle. Intake consists of Edelbrock Victor Jr. BLP Products Pro Flow 850 carb with MSD Pro Billet Distributor, 6AL box and MSD coil. Fluidamper race harmonic balancer built with absolutely no expense sparred. Car Has Howe Aluminum radiator, electric fan, CSI Electric Water pump, chrome 100 amp alternator, fabricated aluminum valve covers, Hooker Super Comp  coated headers, Flowmaster super 40 delta flow mufflers, Competition Engineering front drag shocks, Willwood Dynalite Pro series disc brakes on front, B&M Pro-Stick shifter, Weld Draglite wheels with new tires, Auto Meter Gauges. Interior in car is flawless with roll bar that can be unbolted and removed if necessary. New Diehard Gold Battery just replaced.  This motor has never been raced and only driven to local car shows and cruise-inn.  The motor was professionally built Lemley Racing Engines. Car can be viewed most evenings and weekend. I urge you to see this one in person.

My phone number is 304-382-2183 Car located in Proctorville, Ohio.

Car is for sale locally and auction may be cancelled at any time.

I made a small video of the engine running.  Picture quality is not the best due to my having to use the Ipad.  The video link is:  http://youtu.be/KjiFwfGHeqo

Ford, Toyota clean up in Best Car For The Money Awards

Fri, 22 Feb 2013

The U.S. News Best Cars for the Money Awards picks winners by looking at the average transaction price, five-year total cost of ownership, the regard a car has from the automotive press, reliability figures from J.D. Power and Associates and safety data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. The result, according to the magazine, is "the best combination of critical acclaim and long-term value."
Ford nabbed six of the 21 categories that received awards this year, the Focus, Fusion, Fusion Hybrid, Taurus, Escape and Edge getting trophies. Toyota and its Lexus and Scion sub-brands took another five, the Tacoma and Tundra owning the two categories given to pickup trucks. The other ten awards were split between Honda with three, Buick with two, and one each for Subaru, BMW, Hyundai, Chevrolet and Mazda.

Next-gen GM SUVs caught wearing new boxy bodies [w/video]

Wed, 15 May 2013

We recently drove the brand-new 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and found it to be vastly improved compared to the outgoing model. And now that The General's pickup trucks have been squared away, it's time to focus our attention onto their passenger-friendly companions, the Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon (above).
Our spy photographers have passed along a huge smattering of photos (and a video), showing the new SUVs out testing. Both the short- and long-wheelbase models were spied, and while the overall shape of the vehicles hasn't changed all that much, we expect the updates to be substantial. In addition to new powertrain options, like GM's new small-block V8, we expect the interiors of both SUVs to get massive makeovers, providing better materials throughout their cabins and quieter, more refined environments. We even hear that some trick new suspension developments may be in store for upper-end models.
Visually, these spy shots allow us to see a couple of new details on the SUVs' front and rear fascias, including LED running lamps on the Yukon and some interesting LED taillamp treatments. Of course, the obvious third party missing from this set of photos is the Cadillac Escalade, but as we reported earlier, GM is working to further differentiate the 'Slade from the rest of the fullsize SUV lineup, and is working to make the new model "much less ostentatious."
