1973 Chevrolet Nova 2dr. Sedan on 2040-cars
Burlington, Wyoming, United States
1973 Chevrolet Nova coupe.
307 2bbl., V8, TH 350 automatic transmission, power steering, manual drum brakes. This car is as original as they come. Has 15 inch wheels, instead of the original 14 inch, but that is the ONLY modification ever done to this car. Keep the "patina" and enjoy it as is, or build it your way. Was originally sold in Murray, UT. Spent most of its life in the Salt Lake City area, but made trips back and forth to Georgia. Body is straight, but it is a bit crusty, but has no terminal cancer. Trunk floor is excellent. Has rust over rear wheels and lower fenders and doors. Frame and floorpans look good from underneath, but have a light rust tinge to them....(car was not undercoated from the factory). I am looking from a dry climate point of view. This car is WAY better than what you rust belt guys have to work with. This car runs and drives well. Should be able to drive it home. Odometer just barely turned over and shows less than 500 miles. Have virtually all paperwork on the car....have original bill of sale, 2 build sheets, window sticker, temporary registration, and lots of receipts. Was owned by one family for most of its life. Interior door panels are very good. Rear seat is good except for slight cracking from sun damage on the top of the backrest. Front seat is torn on the backrest and will need redone. Carpet is fair. Headliner is decent. Dash pad is cracked. If you use buy it now, I will include a 74 Nova parts car that has NEW fenders, quarter panels, nice doors, etc. (it could be built and is titled, but is just a roller). If you have any questions, feel free to ask. CAR IS BEING SOLD AS IS...NO WARRANTY OR GUARANTEE OF ANY KIND. TRANSPORTATION IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE PURCHASER. YOU CAN PROBABLY DRIVE IT HOME, BUT NOT GUARANTEEING THAT YOU CAN. It is a 40 year old car that is original, so please expect it to run and drive like it is. |

Watch how Corvette Racing's new collision-avoidance radar system works
Fri, 22 Mar 2013When it comes to technology used in racecars, we generally expect it to trickle down to production cars, not the other way around. Well, Pratt & Miller has developed a new rear-facing radar that operates in a similar fashion to what we're used to in modern blind spot detection systems, only it is also capable of tracking cars as they approach and relaying vital information to the driver via a large display screen.
The innovative radar system debuted at last weekend's 12 Hours of Sebring for Corvette Racing, and this system makes perfect sense for endurance races like this since the cars sometimes have to drive through the night and in poor weather conditions.
The radar can detect cars even with poor visibility, and uses easy-to-distinguish symbols for the driver to identify.
Camaro spy shots show subtly different grille, front fascia
Sun, 03 Feb 2013It looks like there some changes in store for the Chevrolet Camaro - the only thing is that we just don't know what Chevy has up its sleeve. Looking at these spy shots, we'd initially be inclined to think that there is just a minor facelift or a new special edition, but upon closer inspection, there are a few oddities about this car that definitely have us intrigued.
The most obvious difference on this prototype is the slightly restyled front fascia with a smaller lower air inlet and the two-bar grille. Then we get to some of the car's mysterious details. For starters, this fascia has the SS vent above the grille, but it looks to be blocked off. Granted this could just be a one-off piece used for testing. What really piqued our interest was at the rear of the car where it has quad exhaust outlets that are used on the ZL1. Could this be the LS7-powered Camaro that we reported on back in December?
At this point, your guess is as good as ours as to what we're looking at here, so let us know in the comments what you think this could be.
New Bright creating exclusive 1:8 scale radio-controlled C7 Corvette
Mon, 04 Feb 2013If you want a new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette but can't quite save up enough pennies for the monthly payment, we have good news for you. Toymaker New Bright has pulled the covers off of its 1:8 scale remote-controlled version of the American sports car. Complete with a very detailed interior and LED headlights, this large-scale R/C is as close as most of us will ever come to having one of the menacing Chevrolet models to call our very own. New Bright still hasn't released pricing or availability, but word has it the coupe should hit the market soon.
Right now, it appears as if the C7 will hit shelves in Torch Red, though we don't know if other colors are planned as well. The good news is that New Bright isn't exactly turning its back on the old C6 - representatives say the company will continue to make its popular C6R racecar for those who prefer round taillights.
