1978 Chevy Nova - 2 Door Coupe on 2040-cars
Farmville, North Carolina, United States
1978 CHEVY NOVA - 2 door coupe, 69K original miles, A/T, A/C, P/S, P/B, rear air shocks, Grand Am W/L Radials, American Racing chrome rims (have slight rust) original In-Line 6 cylinder engine, original automatic transmission. Also have some of the original paperwork, manuals, etc. that came with the car when it was new. Car runs and drives excellent, body is straight and solid. I'm driving this car daily back and forth to work.
I have all of the interior out of the car in hopes of restoring the car, but I just don't have the time to finish. Some of the interior pieces have been restored, but will need to be re-installed by the new owner. The interior is complete and in-tact, except for the headliner, dash pad, and carpet. I was not able to salvage these 3 items. The back seat has been re-covered and I have a new cover for the front seat, but it has not been changed. I have installed new spark plugs, new spark plug wires, new belts/hoses, flushed cooling system and installed new 50/50 antifreeze, changed the oil/filter, and installed a new battery. This car purrs like a kitten! You might be able to buff/wax the paint, but more than likely it will need a paint job. I have a clean NC title in hand. You may call me and ask me any questions you would like 252-714-3645. |

Chevy monitors drivers' biometrics while experiencing new Corvette Stingray
Fri, 25 Oct 2013We tell you about what a car is like to drive every day, remarking on throttle response, steering weight and feedback, squat, dive, brake fade and a dozen or more other factors of performance. What we can't tell you, though, is what the car does to us - how its performance impacts us, physically. That's what makes this video series from Chevrolet so darn cool.
The Bow-Tie brand rented out Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch, got several (very) different individuals together, strapped a bunch of sensors to their bodies to record biometric data ranging from heart rate to respiration to brain activity, and then handed them keys to the new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. The results are explained in a series of videos, devoted to each driver, showing how different people react to the Corvette's performance.
If, like your author, you're a nerd for medical science, this is going to be a fascinating set of videos. If not, it's still pretty cool to see how the body of someone with racing experience, like Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi, reacts to tracking a car like the Corvette Stingray compared to the owner of legendary Detroit barbecue joint, Slows BBQ. Take a look below for all six videos from the series, or hop over to the Corvette Vimeo channel for the interactive experience, where you can see all the different metrics.
Chevy Chaparral 2X Vision Gran Turismo concept blends the past and the future
Wed, 19 Nov 2014The Chevrolet Chaparral 2X Vision Gran Turismo is the rare concept car that salutes a seminal moment in history, yet also borders on science fiction.
Revealed Wednesday at the Los Angeles Auto Show, the concept uses the name of one of Chevy's historic racing partnerships, with Chaparral Racing, which dates to the 1960s. Chaparrals raced successfully at a range of levels, including IndyCar, Trans-Am and SCCA competition.
But the history ends there, as the concept's main purpose is as a racecar in a downloadable update for the PlayStation 3 game Gran Turismo 6.
Amelia Island 2013: Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray from concepts to split windows
Wed, 13 Mar 2013While this year marks 60 years of the Chevrolet Corvette, the 2013 Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance focused on one of the coupe's most sought after models, the 1963 Sting Ray. General Motors design boss Ed Welburn was on hand to show off the all-new C7 Corvette, but even the hard-edged styling of the 2014 Stingray couldn't take away from the beautiful 1963 models sitting out on the field.
In addition to the original Sting Ray and the 1959 Sting Ray Concept, some of the other classic 'Vettes included "Big Tank" racecars, an interesting cutaway coupe, a right-hand-drive Z06 and the attention-grabbing 1963 Corvette Rondine by Pininfarina. Another impressive Corvette was the 1964 Corvette XP-819 rear-engine prototype. Owner Mike Yager had the car finished as a driving chassis for this year's show, but promises the car will be back to its original glory in time for next year's event.
